On a post about Hillary Clinton visiting Auschwitz

I love how some people think that the US would be such a great country and all sunshine and rainbow is most of the population had voted for the proven war criminal that wanted Libya to be destroyed than the orange moron who is just the same as Hillary but on the Red team. Like yeah Hillary would’ve atleast acknowledged the Holocaust happened but that wouldn’t change the fact she would almost certainly still be bombing and massacring the Middle East if she got elected. Quite literally just Blue team Trump

Gotta love the person beneath them saying that 9/11 wouldn’t have happened if Al Gore was elected as if that was all determined by who won in 2000 lol

Also, good god is the comment in the third slide the most tonedeaf thing I’ve ever seen. Israel is literally doing their own holocaust to the Palestinians right now in a genocide (that mind you Hillary absolutely supports and definitely would’ve helped Israel if she was elected) which is an extension of the original 1948 Nakba, which has striking similarities to the Holocaust. But I guess the people saying this just don’t know about history I guess. Good on the other person for linking the article about Israel commiting Genocide on Palestine

Batista ‘02 model from 2K22 compared to 2K26

This makes it pretty obvious they just reused the Batista with hair model they had hidden in the files of 2K22 to put in 2K26 as a MyFaction persona. They didn’t even de-age him in either game 😭. Atleast he has the right trons and theme in 2K26

It was 60 years ago today that The Beatles performed at the Nippon Budokan Hall in Japan, June 30th-July 1st, 1966

The concerts were part of their 1966 world tour that initially began with a tour across West Germany, Japan, and the Philippines between June 24th-July 4th, with the world tour itself ending with their final tour in the United States in August.

The Japan visit was initially marked by controversy, as the Budokan was reserved for Martial Arts and as a shrine for those in Japan who died in war, which lead to some protests by Japanese ultranationalists as a result. That and it also happened in a era where Japan had been trying to re-establish its cultural identity after they were defeated in WW2.

Regardless, things shimmered down and the show went on as planned, with a little over 10,000 people attending and watching the Beatles perform live across 2 days. Opening/Supporting acts mainly included local artists to fill things out until the Beatles arrived onstage.

The setlist for the concerts was the same setlist performed throughout the whole tour and went as follows:
-Rock and Roll Music
-She's a Woman
-If I Needed Someone
-Day Tripper
-Baby's in Black
-I Feel Fine
-Yesterday
-I Wanna Be Your Man
-Nowhere Man
-Paperback Writer (the only song from the Revolver sessions performed live by the band)
-I'm Down

The performances at the Budokan (alongside the ones at the Circus-Krone-Bau in Munich) were recorded, filmed and broadcast on several local television networks, and you can infact watch both of the Budokan concerts on YouTube through the link below. It also features what is possibly the most quiet crowd of a Beatles concert during Beatlemania:

Is it just me, or did John Lennon have facial features that could be described as vaguely asian?

Something I’ve always noticed is that John Lennon looked somewhat Asian in certain photographs. When I was a kid, I actually thought he was Japanese because of the way he appeared in some pictures. I don’t think it was every photo, but in certain angles or lighting, his facial features, especially his almond shaped eyes and the shape of his face gave me that impression.

Jimmy Page has a similar quality in some photos as well. I’ve always wondered if it’s just me noticing this, or if other people have had the same impression.

With Paul turning 84 today, what are your thoughts on the two age related Beatles songs he wrote, "When I’m Sixty-Four" about being 64 years old, and "Birthday" about celebrating birthdays?

Thoughts on the "Series 0" canon that’s been getting quite a fair bit of attention lately?

TrackAIPAC has fallen

Such a shame to see them endorse and support a mass murdering nazi-tattoo wearing woman abuser just because he "opposes genocide" (even though his main concern with Israel’s genocide of Palestine is that it’s "a waste of American taxpayer money" and not the fact that thousands upon thousands have either been slaughtered or displaced. Then again, can’t expect a US Veteran to have sympathy for any brown people whatsoever so I’m not surprised)

With both songs officially being 60 years old now as of a week or two ago, what are your thoughts on the song "Paperback Writer" and it’s B-Side "Rain" looking back?

Personally speaking, I like both songs myself, but I do prefer one over the other

Paperback Writer is a pretty catchy tune with a great guitar and bass parts, a wonderful harmony, and some pretty damn good drumming on Ringo’s part. A pretty good song that’s definitely up there with most of their other songs

Rain on the other hand… oh boy this one is incredible. Everytime I feel like listening to it, I just end up loving it even more. It has what is, in my opinion atleast, Ringo’s best drumming on any Beatles track, he kills it on that beat. And the backwards section near the end oh my god, nowadays it wouldn’t be too out of place but for 1966 this was revolutionary and gave a glimpse as to what was eventually coming on Revolver later this year. I’d consider it the most underrated Beatles song with how little attention or recognition it actually gets, it wasn’t even on the 2023 Red Album when it honestly SHOULD have been on there.

But that’s just my thoughts, let me know what your thoughts are on these two songs and whether you prefer one to the other, or like them both equally?
