For those who are unfamiliar, LACONIC is a Japanese brand that makes slim specialty notebooks for different uses, such as the 100 Days notebook above. I really love the paper in these!! Smooth and fountain pen friendly, without being too slick/coated like MD paper can sometime be. Unfortunately they don't make any regular blank/lined/graph notebooks.

Good morning friends! I am new to the practice and I would appreciate some help understanding this topic. I basically have two questions:

1. If humanity were to stop existing (due to climate change or a widespread illness, for example) does Buddhism offer any ideas of what would happen to the cycle of reincarnation?

2. Also, I have been wondering - how did reincarnation work prior to humans being evolved, or prior to any living creatures on Earth being evolved? Was it limited to the Devas? Or maybe other interstellar beings?

I'm sorry if these questions seem really strange!! I have been dealing with some serious health issues lately and thinking about my own mortality, and it led me down this path of thoughts. Thank you for any help or ideas!

Hello! I had the battery and keyboard/trackpad replaced on my Macbook Pro (13" M1) at the Genius bar today, and now whenever I click on the trackpad it makes a noise.

To be clear, the noise is from the trackpad itself physically moving, not the operating system - I already have click noise set to light in settings.

Is this normal? My trackpad was silent before the repair, but it also was disgusting and full of crumbs, so I don't know if this is just how it's supposed to sound when clean. Thanks for any advice!

It's been hitting me lately that I've forgotten a lot of my biostatistics basics (please tell me I'm not the only one...). I was wondering if anyone has recommendations for a good biostats refresher course/book/video? There's quite a few review videos on youtube but if anyone has any personal experience with one that they liked or felt was especially relevant for pharmacy, I'd love the hear it. Thanks!

I always have one inked with coral and another inked with a dark blue shimmer! Not always in the same pen or with the same ink, but I like having those two shades available.

I'm new to fountain pens and it's been so fun trying out different inks and working on my handwriting! I am obsessed with shimmer inks heh.

But I've been curious about the collection aspect, as I feel maxed out using the pens I currently own (4), but people here seem to have really large collections. Do you switch between colors a lot, or is there another reason?

My cousin asked if he could keep a few boxes in my storage unit after his breakup. I said yes because there was plenty of room and I was already paying for it. I only go there every couple months, mostly to grab camping stuff or tools.

Last week the storage company called while I was playing Ѕtake because someone had been entering my unit almost every night and staying for hours. I drove over and found a mattress behind my boxes, a mini fridge, clothes hanging from the ceiling and one of those portable camping toilets with a funky smell.

Apparently my cousin has been sleeping there for nearly two months. He still goes to work every day and showers at the gym, so nobody knew. He said he was saving money for an apartment deposit and thought it was harmless since I barely used the unit anyway.

I told him he had until the end of this month to remove everything because the lease is in my name and I could lose the unit or get fined. He started crying and said he had nowhere else to go.

My aunt called me later saying I should have given him options instead of humiliating him and putting him on the street. I asked why he couldn’t stay with her, and she said he already did after the breakup but she kicked him out because he kept smoking inside and bringing people over late at night. Somehow she still thinks I should deal with it because the storage unit was his only other option.

I feel bad, but he never asked me and left me responsible for everything. AITA?

I see non-stop posts from people complaining that all their tests are normal, doctors can't find anything wrong with them, no one believes them, everyone is dismissive. I know that must be maddening.

But no one talks about how scary it is when your bloodwork looks like shit, your doctors know you're sick, but they still can't give you a firm diagnosis (beyond UCTD) because your antibodies or symptoms don't fit a specific diagnostic pattern. No clear treatment, just throwing things at the wall.

Just wondering if anyone relates. Please be kind.

I'm having some health issues and all I can tolerate are wireless bras, but I'm having trouble finding them. To be more specific, I'm having trouble finding ones that have enough room/coverage to fully hold my breasts.

The best fitting one I've found so far is one I saw advertised on TikTok (I know...) - OEAK Jelly Bra in XX-Large, but it's still a bit too small to fully contain my breast tissue. I can't go up a size because the band will be too large for me.

Does anyone have recommendations? The bra doesn't have to be insanely supportive like a sports bra, but some support is needed. Thank you!

Has anyone here with darker skin (Fitzpatrick IV and higher) ever done laser for their melasma? I have stubborn dermal melasma and am thinking about pursuing laser treatment (in combination with thiamidol, which has done wonders for my surface level melasma).

I know in the past it was considered risky to use lasers for melasma and especially for darker skin. I've heard there are better lasers these days, but I'd love to hear your experiences or knowledge.

At this point it's been clearly established that topical minoxidil is less effective when patients are on aspirin, due to aspirin inhibiting SULT1A1 in the follicle. SULT1A1 is responsible for converting minoxidil into its active form, minoxidil sulfate.

I'm wondering if the same is true for oral minoxidil? Oral minoxidil presumably undergoes transformation into minoxidil sulfate in the liver before traveling to the follicle. The liver has a greater concentration of SULT enzymes, as well as multiple SULT isoforms (including ones which may be less affected by aspirin than SULT1A1 is). So, my assumption is that oral minoxidil is less affected by aspirin use.

Any thoughts on this?

I am 5'1", plus size, and 40GG. My shape is pendulous, projected, and more full on bottom. I come to you in desperation and covered in literal scars from wearing poorly fitting bras. Please help me :(

My best fit is Elomi Morgan in 40GG, but I'm too short for it, so the side panels (3-3/4" tall) still go up too high into my armpits.

Ideally, I'm looking for:

1. non-moulded cups (I am too projected and the bra will slide down my IMF)
2. center pull straps (very narrow shoulders and I can't wear cross/J-hook straps)
3. shorter side panels (biggest problem I have in 99% of bras I've tried)

A question for Desi people specifically. Growing up, my family always did really simple chai with just ground cardamom. Occasionally, we added some ginger too. I'm wondering now, how did your family usual spice their chai?

I have two littermate cats, a male and female, who are currently 3 years old. Both were sterilized as kittens. Both are healthy per vet visit last year.

For the last two months, the male cat has been acting strangely at night, around 10pm. He gets into this "mood" where he starts meowing loudly and lunging at his sister. It's not playful and it's not prey stalking behavior. He is upset, and it really looks similar to a cat warning an unknown cat away from their territory - except it's directed at a cat he's known his whole life.

The strange part is that it only happens at night. The rest of the day, he's totally fine around her, tries to instigate play with her, and so on.

There have been no vet visits or strange cats, and we live on the 3rd floor so no visitors at the window.

Any ideas on what this could be? I'm an experienced cat owner and have never heard of this kind of time-dependent behavior before. I do have a vet visit scheduled for June, and I set up a Feliway diffuser this week.
