PJ is not a teenager. I think he's way older than he looks.

Everyone treats PJ like just another teenager in Evan's group. But the more I rewatch his scenes, the less he feels like a kid to me. I don't think he ages normally, like some of the residents. I feel he may be an older member of the Committee, someone who has knowledge of the island's secrets and may have overseen past sacrifices.

He's way too excited to do dumb teenage stuff, like he's copying what a teenager does instead of just being one. It comes off like he's acting the part a little too hard. And the fact that he blends in so well, that nobody questions him, is exactly why I think he's worth a second look.

He also knows too much for a teenager. He was there for the very first fog incident, and he keeps showing up near basically every curse-related event after that (Boogeyman House, "finding" the entrance to the tunnels, shutting the sacrifice room door behind them "on purpose"). That's too many coincidences for someone who's supposedly just tagging along.

I think another indication is when Rev. Bryce when tripping on the black mushrooms, runs into the teens in the woods, he says "there is evil here" while looking right at them. It would be safe to assume that he's referring to the island. But it also fits if he's actually seeing PJ for what he really is, something a lot older than a teenager has any right to be. Coincidentally, Tom also calls him a "horrible" kid at one point. And during Tom's own black mushroom trip, PJ gets called out as "PURE EVIL".

Anyone else notice this, or am I overthinking this?
