Switched my parents from annual to monthly but received a text saying they will be renewed on annual
My parents annual Visible+ plans ends next week so I switched then to monthly around two weeks ago, to go into effect when their plan renewed next week.
Today however they both received texts saying their annual plans will be automatically renewed. I checked both of their accounts and both show they are switched to monthly starting next week. I assume this text was automated and sent in error simply because they are still on annual now with autopay enabled?
Best way to remove large number of shows from Up Next
I recently switched over from Trakt and apparently it also pulled in many shows that have long ended but I had missing watched episodes. Due to this I have over 200 series in my Up Next. What is the best way to remove them or do I need to effectively go into each one to mark them as watched or manually drop each series?
Also, one other question. Is there a way to split Up Next from Upcoming from dashboard section? I see both as having value so it's a shame that I can't have both display at the same time within my dashboard.
iCal Support
Like many I am looking for a replacement for Trakt and don't mind paying a bit to find something that worked as well for me as Trakt V2 did.
I see references to iCal support on the site but it indicates I need to be a supporter. I don't mind paying but there is no documentation around how this works and it would be good to know before I pay anything.
Which Trakt replacement has the best calendar functionality?
I was a 10+ year user of Trakt and my usage of it was pretty basic. Unfortunately, the V3 update effectively killed the most important feature for me, which is finding upcoming new shows.
Basically, I used Trakt for only a handful of things:
- Having a calendar view of upcoming new shows and only new shows, not all shows or all premieres both series and season.
- Being able to see from a calendar view the shows I am following and the watch status coming from Plex
- iCal support to bring my calendar of shows into my Google Calendar so I can see when upcoming episodes are airing
I have started to try out a few alternatives I have seen mentioned here and I have yet to find one that does all of those things. I don't mind paying for a subscription to get all of this and honestly would have been happy to keep paying for V2 of Trakt but unfortunately that is no longer an option, so I am stuck looking for an alternative.
I am also open to rethinking how I achieved this with Trakt but figured I would start with how I had been using Trakt for all of these years.
Also, it would be ideal for whatever I use to have a web interface and not force me into using apps from my phone.
Updated: Thanks everyone for the suggestions, it's looking like MDBList might be the best option for meeting my needs. The interface is a little clunky but it has virtually all of the features I am looking for.
Roamless Outage?
Many are reporting issues with connecting to many networks with Roamless right now.
I myself cannot connect to AT&T in the US at all. My phone will only connect to Verizon which is unusual since Verizon barely works in my neighborhood and I always auto connect to AT&T.
First bill received under 75% promotion, can confirm taxes are also discounted
I just received my first bill and unlike prior promotions from a few years back, taxes and fees are also discounted under this promotion. It was also interesting that despite signing up on July 29th, my bill cycle actually starts on August 2 so basically the first few days are free?
I am on Unlimited Premium in PA and my full bill was $65 for the plan and then $7.29 in taxes and fees. My final bill price was $18.07. So glad I jumped on this and starting next month I should get credits due to the $60 referral credit so I will basically get three months of free service after the first month.
Also a reminder that this is the last day to sign up so if you are looking to switch, this is the day to do it.
Great first 11 months with US Mobile but moving to Google Fi for the 75% off deal
I signed up for US Mobile last September and have been a big supporter of them ever since but even I had to cave and jump on the Google Fi deal.
As someone who uses T-Mobile for their main line and has had the best success with them this was a no brainer. Between the 75% off, $60 referral credit (you can get support to add this after signing up), and the 6 months of YouTube Premium which I pay for anyway, this deal basically averages out to less than $8 per month for their Unlimited Premium plan.
I am still a big fan of US Mobile and what they are doing but I knew nothing could match this and I like that the Google Fi deal is month to month so if something were to change I am not locked in.
One area I was a bit concerned about was losing my AT&T second line with US Mobile but I looked back on my usage and due to how good T-Mobile has been for me, I have only used around 13GB of data on that line in the past 11 months of which almost 3GB of it was a single mobile hotspot session that I could have easily done on my T-Mobile line (I only used the AT&T line as it was running significantly faster at the time but both were still good).
Due to having such limited usage on that line I decided instead fo replace it with a prepaid eSIM on Roamless where I can pay as I go for $1.95 per GB with no expiration on the funds I add, plus unlike some other eSIM providers they have a US breakout so latency should still be quite good. In the end if I use the same amount of data as I used with US Mobile I would be paying a third of what I paid US Mobile for the multi-network line. Roamless supports both AT&T and Verizon in the US so it's a perfect match for Google Fi users wanting a backup network.
I still think in the end I will end up back on US Mobile next year but for anyone who can take advantage of this deal I strongly recommend it, especially if the YouTube Premium has value to you. I've only been on Google Fi for a couple days now but it is performing the same as US Mobile has with the only noticeably difference being the loss of the 5G UC icon my Pixel but at least I still have 5G SA.
If anyone has any questions I am happy to help although there are probably also plenty of older posts on this as well.
Adding additional lines on plan with 75% off
I just ported in and have my line all set up but I was wondering what happens if I later add two more lines?
I know they will not get the discount but would it still lower the overall plan to $135 for all three but the discount on my line would now be based off of $45 instead of $65?
I also assume their lines would be eligible for phone discounts as they are not on a promotion?
YouTube Premium timing
If I sign up for the Unlimited Premium is there a time frame for when I have to activate the free six month trial of YouTube Premium? I'm currently on an annual plan which is paid through January so I'm trying to see if I can just let that cancel then and then use the free six months.
Also confirming if I'd even be eligible as someone who has used YouTube Premium before.
Risk of not flying the final leg of a booking
I have a flight from DEC to LHR via ORD in two weeks which was originally booked as a CMI flight until this service was delayed. I have no issues with my outbound leg but for my return I now need to stay in ORD for a few extra days and given I ultimately need to get back to Champaign, it makes little sense for me to rebook a later flight to DEC, which is an hour out of the way as opposed to just taking ground transit two hours back to Champaign from ORD.
United is telling me that my only option currently to drop the last leg is to pay the fare difference and that they cannot make any further exceptions, which I expected, even though I had hoped they would understand given the original schedule change is the main cause of me wanting to drop this final leg.
My question is, if I don't pay the fare difference, what is my best option to not fly that last leg? I have never dropped a flight like this before and don't plan to do it again. I will also not be checking bags. Should I call 24 hours before to try and see if there is another option to correct my itenerary, talk to a gate agent at ORD upon arrival, or simply no show and hope nothing bad happens to my United account? From my understanding United doesn't generally get punative over things like this unless it's done reguarly but I also don't want to be the person they make an example of after one missed flight.
Looking for a case with a multi-angle kickstand for the S11 Ultra
I just grabbed the S11 Ultra to replace my S8+. I have been very spoiled by the case design of the S8+ keyboard cover as the back piece is a very nice simple kickstand which perfectly meets my needs.
Is there anything similar for the S11 Ultra? I don't mind something more case like or even going with something that has a detachable keyboard if it gets me what I am looking for.
I have been looking at these two options but curious as to what others have found.

I am sort of leaning towards the one with the keyboard as even though I have no need for it, the kickstand case is closer to what I am looking for, even thought I don't love how they put the pen holder.
Genuinely curious as to who the market is for the Global By the Gig plan
My parents have been on Visible for just over 10 months and might be looking to make a change. I have been happy with my US Mobile service during this time and might look into bringing them over.
They are light users, generally using around 4 to 8GB per month but they do travel internationally a few times a year so I was intrigued by the idea of the Global By the Gig plan but then I saw the prices and policies and am a bit baffled as to who they are geared towards.
For instance, if I put them on the 10GB plan when they are in the US that costs $28 per month but switching them to Global raises this to $68 however if their trip crosses two billing periods they would have pay the higher price twice despite most of their usage being in the US. Then, even worse if we switch them right before the trip, to ensure they get the full amount of international data while traveling, there is no refund for the current billing cycle. You would think that since you are upgrading US Mobile could give a pro-rated credit towards the new plan (basically pro-ration of either remaining days or data, whichever has had more used).
So based on this, I don’t see how this makes sense for them but then I got thinking about who it would be for.
Is anyone using this feature and if so what is their typical use case for it?
Total Wireless has now updated their global roaming page to reflect their new plans
totalwireless.comNow that Total Wireless has full global roaming included in plan will Visible follow suit?
As of today, Total Wireless, which is also a flanker MVNO of Verizon now offers 10GB of international roaming per month in 140+ countries on their $25 per month BYOP plan (with Auto Pay), no silly Global Passes needed.
Any chance we will see Visible improve their international offerings to be a bit more competitive?
Obviously the $35 Visible+ plan is still slightly better in having 10mbps mobile hotspot instead of 5mbps but for most having 10GB per month of global roaming is going to be better than 1 pass per month and it's $10 per month less expensive.
Upgrade Annual Plan from Visible+ to Visible+ Pro for Global Passes
My parents are almost 9 months into their Visible+ plan but are in need of more Global Passes for an upcoming trip next month. From my understanding if they upgrade plans to Visible+ Pro now they only have the option to pro-rate the remainder of their cycle at the higher rate, so basically $18.75 per line for the remaining 3 months. Would they then receive the pro-rated amound of Global Passes, meaning 6 passes?
Is there ever an option where they can have their upgrade go into effect for a new year right away and then apply their remaining time as a credit towards the new plan? This way they can get a full 24 Global Passes starting right away instead of only getting 6 with a pro-ration.
