Shitty music detail: Static, Spoken For, Human, and Ego Renegade Boy has a bridge, while streetcat and Clover lacked any
Static, Spoken For, and Human have bridges that sound almost completely different compared to the rest of the song, at least in terms of melody and the way the lyrics get arranged
Static:
>When you go, just don't change the channel
I hope you won't be long
After all, I want to be wanted
Is that so wrong?
Spoken For:
>I could be a friend, or I could be a foe
You make the decision, and that's all I know
Oh, I could be a sinner, I could be a saint
Perfectly devoid of anything I ain't
(Im not putting the entire bridge)
Human has Miki's conversation with her creator (presumably) and the actual song, but Im gonna use the latter for this (choosing the last few parts bc I like it the most):
>Could I try?
Could changing leave me gratified?
Even if it's not what you wanted for my afterlife
If I turned out like you, oh, would you be mad?
Is disapproval what it takes to live again?
For Ego Renegade Boy, it has a bridge, but unlike the rest, it mimics the melody the rest of the album contains:
>Did you know her?
Did you know that heavy heart?
Did you know her?
A fragile ego adorned in scars
Did you know her?
Did you know the nights spent crying in a voice drawn low?
Did you know her?
If you knew, you'd know I had to let her go
But for streetcat and Clover, they jumped right in into either the conclusion of the song or a repetition of a certain melody.
streetcat is straight up Pre-Verse 1 -> Verse 1 -> Chorus 1 -> Pre-Verse 2 -> Verse 2 -> Chorus 2,
Clover is Verse 1 -> Chorus 1 -> Verse 2 -> Chorus 2 -> Pre-Coda/Bridge (Im not a music expert but I think it fits either way) -> Coda
Again, a very shitty detail, but from what I could theorize (shittily), the existence of the bridges of the other songs are like the characters who sang it ruminating about their lives, on changing or not, conveyed externally as if theyre addressing YOU. Static Miku wishes youll stay, Spoken For Teto lets you define her even if its not her desires, Human Miki questions her humanity and her decision to take it, even if it dissapoints people, and ERB has both Len questioning about 'Rin' and 'Rin' singing about her alternate fate. Iroha jumped immediately into living, not caring about others' opinions or begging a question, and Clover Chis-A does address us, but unlike Miku or the others who did, she ENCOURAGED us to partake in the arts, in her hopes and dreams.
It definitely reflects some of the themes within their stories, especially their interactions with the unnamed and unidentified audience. Miku desperately wants us to stay, Teto is getting sick of us, Miki chooses the path of being human no matter what we say of her, Len is...pretty much obvious, begging the question about 'Rin' and his 'crimes', Iroha doesnt even ADDRESS us, and Chis-A reflects everything (haha, reflections) by encouraging us and such.
...thats all. BYE!
