Suddenly allergic to silver?

I’ve worn a 925 silver necklace for a year without taking it off. This morning I woke up with a rash on my upper right chest. It burned for about 30 minutes. I took the necklace off. The rash spread to my upper chest. It itched for less than 30 minutes. I saw my dermatologist and she is stumped. I haven’t used new soap makeup laundry detergent or lotion. Seven hours later it’s gone. Before I could even apply prescription cream. Could I suddenly develop an allergy to the silver necklace after a year? TIA.

Remote nonprofit director job search

Has anyone identified 15–20 nonprofits you'd really like to work for and sent your résumé even though they didn't have an opening posted—especially if it looked like no one on staff was handling that type of work? If so, what was your experience? Did it lead to any interviews or opportunities?

Best time to take quetiapine

Take 25 mg quetiapine and one Natrol sleep and calm gummy. Go to sleep by 11. Usually wake up around 1 am because dog moves around. Try to get up at .630 am but I’m foggy. Take quetiapine and Natrol at 715. Should I take it earlier? Tried taking two quetiapine and no Natrol but then I’m a zombie the next day. Recommendations please. TIA.

How do I change my perspective?

I'm turning 75 soon, and instead of feeling grateful, I'm feeling depressed.

This milestone has me thinking about how different I imagined my life would look. Earlier this year, I lost my job after six years. I still don't really understand why, and because of that, I need to keep working for a few more years.

I also can't stop thinking about a mistake I made 15 years ago. I forgot to renew my mortgage loan, and my house ended up in foreclosure. I often wonder how different my life would be today if that hadn't happened.

The frustrating part is that I know I have things to be grateful for. I'm healthy, I've been sober for six years, I have a roof over my head, and there are people who care about me. But gratitude feels out of reach right now.

I've also found myself disappointed in many friends and family members. I realize I expect people to be more thoughtful than they often are, and that leaves me hurt more than I'd like.

I don't want to spend my 75th year dwelling on regrets or feeling sorry for myself. I want to change my mindset, but I'm not sure how.

Has anyone else reached a milestone birthday and struggled with regrets or unmet expectations? What helped you let go of the "life I thought I'd have" and appreciate the life I do have?

SIMILAR to Diamond Glow but at home

Emphasis on SIMILAR. I know nothing I do at home will replicate Diamond Glow. Someone recommended Microderm GLO Diamond Microdermabrasion Machine. Also heard of PMD Clean Pro RQ, Have you tried eiher? Is thetre something else you use that you like. My skin looks good after three years of Diamond Glow, but it's expensive. I will still get Diamond Glow just not every six weeks! TIA.

Again, please be kind! We can't get Deco to connect to the Internet. Any recommendations. We get a flashing blue light, but then it's not connecting. It doesn't look like one of the options is V6 Pro, but I see V6 Plus. I already feel dumb so mean comments are not appreciated!!! TIA.

Advice needed on what's best for the dog

I've gotten great advice from this community before so I'm looking to you for help. My son's dog came to 'stay' with us three months ago because my son had to devote more time to his business. We have a great house with a huge backyard, so we said, sure, she can stay here. It's now three months later, and she is still here. She's living the good life! My husband is retired and walks her at least once/day. He plays ball with her in the backyard. She gets fed on a regular schedule. The dog gets lots of attention. When my son got the dog during Covid, he was working from home and spent a lot of time with her. He is now running a labor-intensive business, so the dog is home most of the day by herself except when he comes to let her out and feed her. I haven't really had a conversation with him about where she will live. She is his dog, but he cannot give her the time and attention she needs. He often gets home at 9 pm. I don't know if/when his situation will change. His house is also messy and not as clean as it should be. IMO the dog should stay with us. The thought of her being alone all day and part of the evening breaks my heart. He did say last week that though he misses her, he knows she's happy because she has people with her more than he is. I'm feeling like a conversation is needed about this, or am I overthinking the situation? He's only seen her a few times since she's been here because he doesn't live close by. I want her to stay here because I think it's best for her. Any advice would be really appreciated. TIA.

Today Show: Ozempic Personality

I’ve been on compounded tirzepatide 7.5 mg for about two years. Over the past year, I’ve noticed a real lack of motivation, joy, and focus on things that used to make me happy. I assumed it was related to other life factors, but after watching the Today Show segment this morning on “Ozempic Personality” (check it out on their website if you missed it), they were describing exactly what I’ve been experiencing. They discussed how this can affect people on many GLP-1 medications, not just Ozempic.

I’m going to decrease my dose to 7 mg to see if I notice any difference. I started at 150 pounds with a goal of 120, and I’m now at 113, so I can definitely afford to gain a few pounds. For me, regaining motivation, joy, and focus would be worth it.

Has anyone else noticed a decrease in motivation, joy, and focus since you started your GLP-1? These side effects were not part of initial studies, but I hope pharma will examine this now.

I'm almost six years sober. I attend meetings 5-6 times/week, and others talk about how their lives have become so beautiful since they started AA. But I don't feel that way. When I drank, I never had a DUI, was never in jail, didn't lose a job, functioned incredibly well, never had a hangover, didn't black out, had a great family and friends. I was more outgoing, more fun, more confident. But my drinking was out of control, and I wanted to make sure I didn't experience any of the above. I drank to numb the pain of an emotionally abusive childhood. Then I stopped drinking and had to start dealing with the pain. And I'm still dealing with the pain. So my life isn't beautiful. I feel like an anomaly. I feel like I'm the only one who doesn't believe their life got better after they went to AA. I pray to my HP, I talk to my sponsor, I'm of service to other alcoholics. I'm just wondering if anyone feels/has felt this way. TIA.
