We have a 14 week old Havanese puppy and have had him since he was 8.5 weeks. From Day 1 he has been really good and sleeps from 11 pm to 6 am. First few weeks we did a last call for water at 9 pm. However the days he gets his shots he is extra thirsty and we decided to leave the hamster water bottle in his crate. We decided it's fine if he wakes us up in the middle of the night, we didn't want him to go without water because he was panting after the shots multiple times in the day.

Even with water access through the night he has never woken us up before 6 am.

My question is is it okay to continue leaving the hamster water bottle in his crate? Is there a downside to him having water access all night long?

I make 123k and will make 128k by June in the current role. I applied for an internal senior role that is also a band change ( currently I am lead professional band and the new role is a Senior Professional band) Range was 120--199k in the JD.I got the offer at 136k.

As much as I like the role I feel like thats not a good offer by any means. It's a senior professional band while I am at lead professional band.

Can I polity decline the offer. I had given my manager the heads up but the new offer is really not upto my expectation since the role demands more responsibility, accountability and its supposed to be pretty hectic with no process. I was expecting close to 165k for this new role. One of the team members from the new team called me and asked if I can do a 1 week notice period instead of 2 even before an offer was extended to me officially.

It is an internal role so I am torn how to navigate this while maintaining professional standards.

How would you handle this situation?

(The current hiring manager has said they will review with HR what they can do but I doubt they will come back with a good counter offer)

My 14 week old puppy just got the go ahead from the vet to start going out to start potty training outside. He has been using the wee pad till now. However when we take him out he starts eating mulch, small stones, grass, leaves. I have to get down to the ground and keep pulling it out of his mouth. (I pulled out a piece of mulch, a gravel piece, dried leaves and grass from his mouth yesterday). Last evening he was acting lethargic and not himself and I was worried he swallowed something I missed. But then because normal later on when we started playing with him.

Now I am worried how do I do this? What if he swallows something and I dont catch it and take it out of his mouth. This is our first pet ever. Please explain to me how to do this safely? We are practicing leave it and drop it during training, which he does at home but doesn't listen outside.

What am I doing wrong?

We got the go ahead from our vet this weekend to start taking him out to pee/poo. Till now we had setup a wee pad in the Mudroom and he was doing really well and going there. Today we are starting to take him out, he is holding on to pee/poo since 12 pm. He usually goes at around 2.30 pm after his lunch at noon but wont pee or poo. I am taking him out every hour. What can I do to help him start going out?
