Sharing in case you didn’t know

My kid is going to be 18 in October so she’s super excited to vote for Ossoff and others this year. I thought she has to be 18 to register but I just so happened to look at the GA SOS and they can register starting at 17.5 years old. So thankful I saw this bc it can take up to a month to process and had we waited til her bday it may not have been processed in time.
TLDR make sure your 17.5 year olds are registered!

Lower bleph with SOOF and temporal brow lift

My oculoplastic surgeon suggested this for me. Has anyone had it done? I’m most concerned about the scarring since the bleph will be done outside of the lid, not inside.

Has anyone had lower bleph with SOOF

My surgeon (oculoplastic) recommends this for me but the incision will be on the outside. Just wondering if anyone has had this done and if so do you like the results? How is the scar? Thanks!

Georgia School of Orthodontics

Anybody get Invisalign recently through them? I got quoted an insane price locally and heard about this school. Wondering how often the patient needs to come in to get new trays? Thanks!

Big huge bday coming up late November, where should we stay?

Family of five visiting your beautiful city for the first time. I blocked off the prices so they dont sway opinions. We will have a car and all places offer free parking. If there’s somewhere else you suggest, please let me know as well! Merci!!

Anyone live in Georgia and independently practice as PMHNP?

I’ve been FNP for 13 years and ready for a change. I am so done working for other people and would like to start independent practice (under supervision of course). I’d love to hear from anyone who’s done it! What’s a good program? How hard is it to start a practice? What are the major barriers? What’s the realistic profitability? Thanks!!

I may be finally ready

I feel like such a loser but I have nowhere else to turn, I’ve made my life very very small and only have one friend left who lives 500 miles away.
20 years ago I settled. I thought it was time to get married and he was who I was dating at the time. I knew prior to walking down the aisle that it was a mistake. Kids came and it just got worse. He’s angry, he barks at all of us like he’s a drill sergeant. I almost left 8 years ago, found a place and was about to sign a lease but got cold feet. Thought I couldn’t live the mom life without him. Now the kids are older (teens)and I’m more financially stable. Yes I still love him, he’s the father of my children and he does make my life easier in many ways but he’s not a true partner to me. We haven’t had sex in over a year (mostly my doing). We are basically roommates and usually it’s fine but when we fight it’s explosive. And we fought tonight, this time over a parenting issue.
It’s just the fear of the unknown, right? Like I don’t want to die alone. I don’t want to BE alone. But I can’t imagine ever dating again I feel so broken.
I’m thinking of renting an Airbnb for a week or so to try to get my head straight. Is this a good idea? I also work multiple jobs just to save money since we are so far behind on retirement savings and I face severe decision fatigue. I just need someone to tell me what to do, please. Please help.

Affordable braces?

My oldest kid got braces put on like 4 years ago in another state (with a higher cost of living) and now my youngest needs them and they are DOUBLE the price here. I checked with a friend who still lives there and she just paid around the same price I did and it’s not making sense to me why it would be so much more expensive here. So anybody have recommendations for affordable braces in the area? Would be amazing if you have a recently quoted price so I can get a ballpark idea (my kid doesn’t need anything special, just braces for 18-24 months)

Anybody productive during the 3am awakening?

Like clockwork I awaken somewhere around 2-3am and am up til about 5, and sleep again til 7. I take progesterone and melatonin nightly so have no issues falling asleep (can’t take estrogen due to a fib). Those of you who also wake up like this, do you actually get out of bed and do something? If so, what? And are you able to fall back asleep?

If you get the chance to go, go. While callbacks aren’t encouraged, ppl did them anyway and the audience laughed and I swear the actors paused in anticipation of some of them and even sometimes responded. Props aren’t allowed but the actors will do some of it like the toilet paper and cards. People do dress up. Luke Evans has a powerful voice and is a perfect Frank. I was a bit nervous about Riff Raff but Amber Gray did a phenomenal job. Juliette Lewis was awesome. I didn’t know how good of a voice Stephanie Hsu has. Truly it was so damn good.
