My 'future updates' wishlist

I specifically tried to avoid big ones like natural lagoons because frontier no doubt knows about them

This list is kinda ordered in most to least realistic

  1. Disable/force idle dialogue. You know what ruins a photoshoot more than a dinosaur running in zigzags? the characters little icons coming in at the corners to comment on the animal's comfort or alpha status. An option to disable this would be appreciated, additionally it always kinda bums me out whenever the game just decides not to enable dialogue when I introduce a new animal to the park for the first time, even if it can get annoying, it almost feels incomplete without it

  2. Experimental traits in campaign. I understand they might break the flow of the gameplay, so they could perhaps be locked behind completing it, or by 5-starring each map for example 'domesticated, amicable and biological immortality are by far the most overpowered, so one of them might be locked behind the lockwood manor.

  3. Extinction Now! Sabotage events for sandbox/challenge. Unlike regular sabotage, Extinction Now would sabotage you more, the higher your dinosaur appeal is. In other words, sabotage that's constantly unavoidable

  4. Cargo ship. Allows you to transport dinosaurs between maps for a fee. I was honestly kind of surprised it wasn't brought back for evolution 3

  5. Rustlers. I love these guys. They were such an underrated part of evolution 2, and it's always disappointed me we never got them in sandbox in that game. I get they wouldn't be compatible with most maps, but it's always fun to have them threatening my park.

  6. Selective breeding. I just find it incredibly annoying when you have something like a triceratops or a stegosaurus breeding in a mixed species enclosure, only to find that one of their babies is aggressive and needs to be rewilded to keep your dinosaur welfare score. I think it'd be better if it was possible to completely eliminate traits like 'aggressive' by breeding dinosaurs without the trait.

  7. Cosmetic Dimorphism, basically, I'm suggesting there should be an option to unlock the sexual dimorphism, this would basically allow males to use female models and vice versa. The primary purpose for this suggestion is to allow players to make film-accurate species

Hybrid fans, for you personally where do you draw the line at hybrids being "too much"

I'm trying to gather data about where the community leans, whether it's one side or the other, somewhere in the middle or all over the place.

This isn't about whether or not you like hybrids, I understand the consensus is that people are sick of them, the idea is trying to figure out where the line. Imagine the line being where you lose the ability to suspend disbelief

Please try to be more original than just "hybrids bad lol" I understand this is a common belief, and many people genuinely feel this way, but I'm specifically excluding that from this list because it's so commonly shared that it would render this pointless because it would make up 99% of the results

also feel free to suggest a better order, I couldn't decide which was more over the top between ultimasaurus and distortus, which of the non-movie hybrids felt most natural, and the indos felt more or less the same to me

I did not order this from what i believe to be best to worst, it's from what I believe is most natural to unnatural (No i don't think giganotosaurus is natural, it just felt like an appropriate example for a dinosaur that looks like a hybrid that isn't)

please be civil, we're trying to have fun here, not start a war

I build an australian jurassic park

it's always irrationally annoyed me that when people build australian parks in frontier games they always use the outback, despite the fact that 99% of us live on the coast, using the rebirth expansion's ancient valley map, I decided to make a park vaguely based on taronga zoo

DLC suggestion: Sister Taxa pack

Instead of introducing new variants, this pack would add "paleo-accurate" dinosaurs as new species related to the originals which players can use in place of paleo accurate ones. I think this is better because, well,it'd be weird for a JP dilo to treat a paleo accurate one as a sibling, also universal would probably prefer it over overlapping their marketable designs

Charonosaurus - Parasaurolophus parallel, walks on all fours, chunkier, beakier face

Oxalaia - Spinosaurus parallel, sail shape, more quadrapedal like stance, thick tail.

Dracovenator - Dilophosaurus parallel, no frills, not venomous, much bigger. >! ^((YES I KNOW THATS A DILOPHOSAURUS IN THE PICTURE I COULDN'T FIND A PHOTO I LIKED OF DRACOVENATOR LEAVE ME ALONE!!!!!))!<

Adasaurus - Velociraptor parallel, Smaller, feathered, winged arms, pack hunter

There may be better parallels, or more fitting dinosaurs, for example you might want a paleo-accurate brachiosaurus more than a parasaurolophus, or Shri might be a better fit for velociraptor, I just went with what I personally think would be best.

Either way, I prefer this to a paleo accurate variant pack

(yes this is a repost, the last version had AI art in it, oops. I checked them all this time)

Does this happen to anyone else?

I'm pretty sure this issue has been in the game from the start, to the point I'm not even 100% sure it's a bug, but jesus christ it's so annoying

Have we considered the possibility that it's literally this simple

Last time I used this format I got a lot of angry comments by people who thought I was insisting that the last take was what I believed was 100% canon, I don't. it's a meme, please chill and try not to let this community become a toxic dumpster fire again

guys, they're both in the wrong, stop bullying my goat she's just sensitive :(

I've been seeing a lot of slander against orange because she insults ralsei for not wearing his hat, as though what ralsei said isn't just as if not more offensive to orange (even if it wasn't meant maliciously)
They're both in the wrong, they're toby fox characters, they aren't 2 dimensional

Curved roof pieces are misaligned

This is genuinely infuriating I don't know if this is a new bug or it's been around for a while
