Hey everyone,

I ordered a Moondrop Chu II DSP from Headphone Zone today for ₹2,690. I was pretty happy with the purchase until I started looking through Reddit and came across quite a few posts about people's experiences with HPZ's QC and, more importantly, their customer service when something goes wrong.

I've seen posts about things like channel imbalance, one side failing, crackling, DSP issues, and people having difficulty getting warranty claims resolved. At the same time, I've also seen people say that they've had perfectly fine experiences with HPZ and that their warranty claims were handled without much trouble.

I understand that people are more likely to post about a bad experience than a good one, so I'm not trying to assume that HPZ is automatically bad. But after reading all of that immediately after placing my order, it definitely made me second-guess the purchase.

For people who have actually dealt with Headphone Zone's warranty/customer support recently, especially in the last week or so:

How was your experience?

If you received a defective product, did they replace or repair it without much hassle?

How long did the process take?

Did you have any issues convincing them that the product was actually defective?

And most importantly, would you personally buy an IEM from HPZ again?

I'm still within the window where I can cancel the order, so I'm trying to decide whether I'm overthinking this or whether the warranty concerns are actually worth considering.

I'll obviously record the unboxing and thoroughly test everything as soon as it arrives, but I'd really appreciate hearing from people who have actually gone through the process with HPZ.

Kartikiya and Shumi not part of Motorinc anymore?

They both posted that they are not part of motorinc anymore. But aren’t they the founders of motorinc? Did the unpaid salary situation got soo much outta hand that they had to shutdown the company?

Im honestly fed up and idk what to do now

Triumph Scrambler 400X | Mysore, KA, India (Popular Motors)

Around 2,500 km, I started feeling the front end hop under braking, mostly on highways. Assumed the organic brake pads were worn out so I went to the service center at 3,000 km.

They said the pads were fine but the front alloy wheel was bent. I don’t take this bike off-road at all, strictly highways. Argued with them and they replaced the front wheel under warranty, which would have cost me ₹9,000 + labor. That whole process took 6-7 visits and a month and a half of waiting.

Got the bike back. Hopping was still there.

They then blamed the ABS reluctor ring and replaced it. Issue still there.

Its been 5,000 km now, they decided to replace the front disc under warranty and the ABS ring again under warranty and I got them to swap the brake pads as well while they were at it. Three more trips to the SC just for this.

Picked the bike up today. Test ride felt fine. 5-6 km in, same front-end hop under braking.

Parts replaced so far: front wheel, brake pads, ABS reluctor ring (twice), front disc. Nobody at Popular Motors can figure out what’s actually causing this.

Has anyone seen this on a 400X or any other bike? What should I even be asking them to check at this point?

EDIT
Update: I took the bike for a night ride again and was seriously surprised as it felt normal for a kilometre or two. But then again, the same issue creeped up after the disc heated up from 3-4 aggressive braking from 60-80 kmph.

Homophobia at its finest form

Saw this at r/IndianDankMemes. The comment section is even more crazy saying slogans like “bharath tere tukude kardenge” are said in queer protest.

3900km on my 400X, and I started feeling brake hop around 2800km. Assumed it was the organic pads burning out classic Triumph organic pad issue, or a warped disc, so I delayed it, It was a big mistake.

Took it to SC today. They swapped the ABS rotor, no fix. Swapped the disc, no fix. Then they actually looked carefully and found the inner hub/ spider of the wheel was wobbling on the X axis.

The outer rim where the tyre seats has zero damage, zero bending. Just the inner section.

The SC guys were visibly surprised at how that could happen. They said the engineers from another city will come and take a look at it Monday which tells you how unusual this is.

For context: I use this almost exclusively as a tourer. soft off-road, no drops, no accidents. City riding is on my scooty. Mostly highways and the occasional speedbreaker at 40-60kmph, standing up.

My questions:

  1. What could even cause this? Can the Scrambler's cast alloy wheel not handle normal speedbreaker use? The bike is literally marketed for this kind of riding.

2.Is the wheel repairable with straightening, re-machining or is it a full replacement situation?

  1. If replacement, what's the front alloy wheel cost?

  2. Could the axle itself be bent and causing th not the wheel?

  3. Warranty Cover. No accident, outer rim pristine, under 4000km. Does this count as a manufacturing defect claim?
