Dryad of the Ilysian Grove vs. Scute Swarm. Which is Better for World Shaper Precon?

I still have 1 card slot left to add to my World Shaper precon, and I'm deciding between Dryad of the Ilysian Grove and Scute Swarm.

Which one would you choose and why?

  • Dryad of the Ilysian Grove — extra land drop flexibility + all lands have every basic land type.
  • Scute Swarm — can generate a huge board with all the landfall triggers.

For the World Shaper precon specifically, which do you think is the better addition?

Dryad or Scute Swarm?

Am I the only one who thinks Surge Foils make the cards look cheaper?

I was really excited to get the Collector's Edition precon, but after seeing the Surge Foils in person, I'm honestly disappointed.

The cards look much darker than the regular versions, and the heavy texture makes it harder to appreciate both the artwork and the text. Instead of feeling more premium, they actually look cheaper to me.

After comparing them side by side, I much prefer the regular non-foil cards, or even standard foils. The artwork is clearer, the colors pop more, and they're much easier to read.

Looking back, I regret buying the Collector's Edition. I would've been happier spending that money on another regular precon instead.

Does anyone else feel the same, or do you actually prefer Surge Foils?

Buying my first Collector's Edition. Which Marvel Commander precon should I get? Keeping it 100% stock.

I'm planning to buy my first and probably last Magic: The Gathering Collector's Edition precon, and I've decided I want it to be one of the Marvel Commander decks.

Since I'll only be buying one, I want to make the right choice. I also don't plan on upgrading it—I'd like to keep it completely stock as a collectible and for casual games.

Which Marvel precon would you recommend and why? Which one has the most fun gameplay, best value, or the coolest overall package?

I'd love to hear your opinions before I make my purchase. Thanks!

Finally pulled the trigger!

After going back and forth for weeks, I finally decided to get a 1-year Piano Academy Premium subscription.

I really wanted to subscribe to Simply Piano because I love its interface and lessons, but USD $210 per year is just too expensive for me to justify right now.

After comparing a lot of apps, I chose Piano Academy instead. It seems like the best balance of price and features, and I can finally continue learning without worrying about my free trial ending.

For those of you who have used Piano Academy for a while, how has your experience been? Any tips for getting the most out of it? 🎹

Simply Piano free trial ends in 10 days, worth subscribing or are there better alternatives?

My Simply Piano free trial ends in 10 days, and I've really enjoyed using it. The lessons are easy to follow, and it's kept me motivated to practice.

The problem is that the annual subscription costs around $210 USD in my region, which is more than I can comfortably spend.

Before I decide, I'd like to ask:

  • Are there any piano learning apps that are just as good (or even better) but more affordable?
  • If you had to choose between a paid app and learning from YouTube, which would you recommend?
  • Are there any YouTube channels that offer a structured beginner course instead of random tutorials?

Which BL or USEA proxy set has the best fetch lands and shock lands?

For those who've bought proxy sets before, which set has the best selection of fetch lands and shock lands included? Ideally, I'd like one that covers all 10 fetches and all 10 shocks, or at least most of them.

Which precon should I buy and upgrade: Riders of Rohan or Turtle Power?

I’m deciding between the Riders of Rohan Commander Deck and the Turtle Power Commander Deck.

My plan is to keep the theme 100% original:

If I choose Riders of Rohan, I will only upgrade it with LOTR cards.

If I choose Turtle Power, I will only upgrade it with TMNT cards.

Which deck has the better upgrade potential, stronger gameplay, and is more fun to pilot after upgrades?

I’m interested in hearing opinions from people who have played either deck. Which one would you choose and why?

I Regret Buying a Used MacBook Instead of a Brand-New One

Starting our Piano Journey Today.

Today marks the beginning of our piano learning journey!

My son and I started watching different beginner piano tutorials on YouTube to get familiar with the basics. Tomorrow is actually his first day of formal piano lessons, while I'll be continuing to learn through YouTube videos and free online resources.

I'm a complete beginner myself, but I thought it would be fun and meaningful if we learned together. Instead of just dropping him off at lessons, I want to experience the learning process alongside him.

From now on, this will be one of our bonding activities. Hopefully, we'll be able to encourage each other, celebrate small milestones, and maybe even play a few songs together someday.

For those who learned piano with their kids (or started as an adult beginner), do you have any tips, favorite YouTube channels, or advice for staying motivated?

Looking forward to this new adventure!

FiiO JM21 Screen Flickering Issue

I'm having an issue with my FiiO JM21. The display has started flickering intermittently, and I'm not sure what's causing it.

The device has never been dropped, exposed to water, or physically damaged. I've been very careful with it since day one and always keep it in a protective case. Despite that, the screen is still experiencing this problem.

Has anyone else encountered display flickering on their JM21?

Can i use these in a sanctioned tournament?

I can’t help with figuring out how noticeable or hard-to-detect counterfeit cards are for tournament use.

What Commander precon have you kept completely stock, and why?

I know upgrading precons is part of the fun for many players, but I'm curious which precons you've decided to leave exactly as they came out of the box.

What made you keep it stock? Was it already strong enough, well-balanced, fun to pilot, good for lower-power games, or did you just enjoy the original deckbuilding?

I'd love to hear which precons you've left untouched and your reasons for not upgrading them.

Really Enjoying Lorehold Spirits. Should I Upgrade It or Keep It Stock?

I've been playing the Lorehold Spirits precon lately, and I'm honestly having a great time with it.

I really enjoy piloting the deck because it's easy to play, the game plan is straightforward, and it still has enough interesting interactions to keep games fun. The Spirit token theme feels satisfying, and the deck seems to perform pretty well right out of the box.

Now I'm wondering whether I should start upgrading it or just leave it stock and enjoy it as-is.

Which Strixhaven Commander Precon Is Best Straight Out of the Box?

I'm looking to pick up one of the Strixhaven Commander precons and play it without any upgrades. My local group is fairly casual, so I'm mainly interested in which deck performs the best and feels the most complete right out of the box.

For those who have played them, which one would you recommend if I don't plan on upgrading it at all?

Is it safe to buy a second-hand DaVinci Resolve Studio license?

I found someone selling a sealed copy of DaVinci Resolve Studio. The seller claims it's brand new and unopened, but I'm a bit hesitant because I've heard that some licenses are delivered by email or may have already been redeemed.

How can I verify that the activation code is still valid before buying? Has anyone here purchased a second-hand copy successfully?

What are the risks, and what should I ask the seller for before handing over the money?
Thanks!

Is $210 for all 4 Final Fantasy MTG precons a fair price?

Do you guys think that’s a fair price considering the hype and current market? Or should I wait for prices to calm down?

I mainly want to play them out of the box and keep the set together. Which deck do you think is the strongest or most fun without upgrades?

Regret Buying Niagara Launcher Lifetime? Minimaa Changed My Mind.

8 months ago, I bought Niagara Launcher Lifetime Pro for $22. At that time, I thought it was the perfect launcher for me.

But if I had known about Minimaa Launcher earlier, I probably wouldn’t have bought Niagara. I kind of regret it now.

Minimaa is excellent on mobile, and I think it’s even better for digital audio players (DAPs). The clean and minimal design fits perfectly for music-focused devices.

Anyone else switched from Niagara to Minimaa and felt the same?
