Battery charge limiting on older MacBooks that don't have battery optimisation

My old 2014 MBP runs on 11.7.10. It also lives plugged into power; I don't need it to be portable, I just need it to be reliable.I had a battery swell up on a MBP, and this one has over 1500 cycles on it and only 70% health, but I want to avoid it swelling up so thought about some battery conditioning. Would AlDente be a good choice for this? I know it gets a bad rap now Apple has its own battery optimisation, but my old MBP doesn't have that. I'd like to keep this battery at about 80% to it's not spending too much time at a high state of charge

If someone had told 13 year old me, when I first saw Metallica in 1995, that one day Lars would notice me from the stage, throw me a stick after a song, and then come round after they finished playing, shake my hand and pose for a picture while pulling my T-shirt down so the text would be read (best £14 I ever spent btw), I’d have never believed you. Crazy.

Open mind for a different view…

Having already done the M72 from three different positions on the rail and in the pit, I decided to see it from a wider perspective, so got myself a middle tier seat in Cardiff. Was really pleased they kept the roof shut as it gave it an old school arena-vibe, just in a bigger scale. Here’s a few pics I took

Why am I out of iCloud storage?

I only use iCloud for backing up my iPhone. Things like Notes, Messages, Photos etc sync across devices (really only my MBA and this iPhone). My iPhone is a 256gb model, of which I’m using 218gb with 38gb free. 123gb of that 218g is music (synced from my MBA to the music app, so it’s not included in backups). By my reckoning then I should only be using using 95gb - how comes it keeps telling me I’m using 199gb of my 200gb iCloud?
