Anxiety separation anxiety overwhelmed about daycare

It’s almost time for my daughter to start daycare, and I’ve been feeling pretty nervous about it and really anxious about the whole thing, since my daughter will soon turn one and start going to daycare. This has been driving me crazy these past few months. I’ve tried to stay strong and not break down, but time is flying by so fast, and the closer the start date gets, the more nervous and anxious I feel.

I’ve tried to look at things in a positive light (even tho that unfortunately, I’m a negative person). I’ve tried not to even think about the moment when I’ll have to take my daughter to daycare so I don’t constantly have a meltdown. We recently had a meeting at the daycare with one of the teachers (are 4 teachers for 12 kids) to get to know each other and be shown around. I asked several questions, being careful not to make her uncomfortable, be a burden, or make a bad impression. Well, during the meeting I stayed calm and put on a good face, even though the truth is that inside I was already freaking out about everything I didn’t like [specially that my daughter crawls i dont agree about being all mixed 1 y/o 2 3y/o kids together same room and the fact she doesnt walk yet she saying all the kids go outside /no matter the weather/ to the park area they have which is concret and a small part of rubber asphalt which I feel is still pretty hard for a crawling baby she said is good for kids bc kids needs to play]

Well, starting with the idea of having to send my baby to daycare, then my husband asked me if I was feeling better now after the meeting, and well, I told him everything I saw as wrong from my point of view. My husband gets frustrated and feels bad because of my prejudiced and negative way of thinking, and I totally understand that—I wouldn’t even want someone like me by my side. Well, the thing is that in my country the situation is more chaotic, since the grandmother usually takes care of the grandchildren, and kids don’t start school until they’re 5 or 6. It’s not common to send them so young, and unfortunately I grew up seeing this situation, so I have a big problem trusting others in general—which makes the situation even worse. whereas here it’s normal to send children to daycare at age 1, which I just can’t wrap my head around and find really hard to accept.

My husband is understanding, but I don’t understand why I can’t be understanding toward him.

In short, my daughter will go to daycare because I have to start working. I’d appreciate hearing from other moms in a similar situation who are on edge about this, or from others who’ve already gone through this new phase or situation and how they’ve coped thank you all in advance
