Did anyone learn through CodeAcademy?

I did one of their courses years ago on SQL when I needed it for university. I liked their progressive gamified method. The knowledge really came in handy.

Now I would like to update my knowledge on React and Redux and I see they have some courses with AI assisted development that I find interesting.

Has anyone taken those courses and how did it went for you?

Misljene o Codeacademy?

Pozdrav svima.

She said that she will come over and sleep here even though I told her that we are done

I don’t usually do this, I don’t usually post on Reddit for this kind of stuff but I am really terrified right now.

I broke up with my girlfriend over a very big argument on August 4th. We were in no contact at all until today. I am still at my parent’s house from that date because I want to give her time to process everything and I told her that she needs to leave the current apartment because I have been paying for it.

She sent me a dozen of messages over sms, gmail, dozen phone calls. It’s terrifying

Now she sent me several messages that she will come over and sleep over here with no invitation .

I am literally freaking out.

Odakle ovoliko nadzora

Mada kakav smo narod, mozda nam i treba ovo

What’s the best way to learn React?

I’m a developer of six years of experience and I have knowledge in vanilla Javascript but because of the nature of my current stack and job description, i have never encountered a need to learn React. But now I want to.

It’s not like I don’t know anything about it, i am familiar with the concept of components, hooks, routers etc. The only thing I have made in React is my Web portfolio currently.

I want to learn it on a deeper level. Can anyone recommend a book or course for it?

I saw this site for a roadmap for React, would you recommend it: https://roadmap.sh/react

29M, I ended my 6-year relationship with my (29F) girlfriend after a final violent incident. Was it the right call given our history?

I need some outside perspective because, despite my decision being final, a part of me is struggling with the gravity of ending a six-year relationship. It's hard to let go of someone you've built a life with, even when you know it's the right thing to do.

I (29M) officially ended it with my girlfriend (29F) of six years a few days ago.

The breaking point was physical. We argued, and in her anger, she hit a coffee table so hard it flew across the room and almost hit me. The context was critical: it happened the morning after our fight, and when I later offered her to drive her to work because of the heavy rain, she told me she would "rather sit in a stranger's car than in mine" and called me an "ignorant and selfish prick." For me, that combination of violence and deep disrespect crossed a line I couldn't uncross. That was the moment I packed my bags and knew I was done.
While this was the final straw, it was the culmination of a long pattern that left me feeling drained and trapped.

I often felt like my health was an afterthought. I have frequent stomach issues, and my pleas for more home-cooked meals were consistently dismissed. It felt like my basic well-being wasn't a priority.
There were a lot of control dynamics, especially around transportation. She would often expect rides and would "cause a scene" if I didn't immediately comply, yet she'd refuse reasonable solutions like me offering to pay for a taxi for her to have more independence.

The most traumatic moment for me was about six months ago. After an argument, I left for the weekend to cool off. She sent me messages threatening to jump from a window or hurt herself if I didn't come back. She even sent pictures of some of my things she had broken. The manipulation and guilt were terrifying.

I also felt I could never be "supportive" in the right way. I remember when she was fired from a toxic job. I told her it would be okay and that we had enough money for her to relax. I felt I was being supportive, but she confronted me saying it wasn't enough. The atmosphere became so tense that since I work remotely, I had to go work from another location for a few days. I just received messages about how I was "running away" again.

After this last violent incident, we did have one calm conversation where we both acknowledged our problems. But that one conversation can't erase a history of this behavior.

I know I can't go back. The decision is made. But I would be lying if I said it didn't hurt to let go of so much history. I just need to hear from some people on the outside: given this history, did I make the right call? Has anyone been through something similar and found peace on the other side?

29M, I ended my 6-year relationship with my (29F) girlfriend after a final violent incident. Was it the right call given our history?

I need to post this to get some outside perspective because, despite my decision being final, a part of me is struggling with the gravity of ending a six-year relationship. I (29M) officially ended it with my girlfriend (29F) of six years a few days ago.
The breaking point was the most recent argument. We argued, and the next morning, she was still angry. During a conversation, she hit a coffee table so hard it flew across the room and almost hit me. She later told me she'd "rather sit in another man's car than with me" and called me an "ignorant and selfish prick." I packed my bags and left, telling her to move out.
While this was the final straw, it was the culmination of a long, draining pattern of behavior that made me feel disrespected, controlled, and afraid.

**Physical intimidation:** The coffee table incident is the culmination of a pattern of aggression and violence that I've endured.

**Emotional blackmail with suicide threats:** I can never forget about six months ago when we had a bad fight and I left for the weekend. She sent me texts saying she wanted to jump from a window or hurt herself if I didn't come back, along with pictures of some of my things she had broken. The manipulation was traumatic.

**Constant control and double standards:** She expected me to be her on-demand chauffeur but would "cause a scene" if I didn't comply, while refusing simple solutions like taking a taxi I offered to pay for.

**Emotional neglect:** My frequent stomach problems, which make fast food painful, were consistently dismissed. My pleas for home-cooked meals were treated as "nagging."

**Sexual neglect:** A complete lack of intimacy on her part for a long time left me feeling completely unwanted and rejected.

**Impossible standards for "support":** When she was fired from a toxic job, I gave her space, reassurance, and told her not to panic about finances. She later confronted me, screaming that I wasn't "supportive enough." When the tension made me work from another location, she accused me of "running away."

**Forced responsibility for her health:** I was constantly tasked with managing her emotions to prevent her mild seizures. It felt like I had to suppress my own valid anger and fear, just to keep her stable.

After this last incident, we had one calm conversation where we acknowledged that arguments were escalating. For a moment, it felt like a breakthrough, but that brief glimmer of hope is overshadowed by years of this pattern. My best friend and my mom, who I've shared parts of this with, are fully supportive of my decision to end it.

I know I can't go back, but I would be lying if I said it didn't hurt. I just need to know: Given this history, did I make the right call in ending it? Have any of you been through something similar and regretted it, or does this pattern sound as unsustainable to someone on the outside as it does to me?

I love her but she had hurt me so much, i had to finish it

I just ended a six year old relationship. We were living together in a rented apartment.

The last argument that we had was really a breaking point for me. I love her and she loves me. The problem is that she really said a lot of awful things to me that really damaged my self image.

The evening ended us arguing about the cooking and how I was sick of fast food and that I shouted on the phone that she could do a bit more home cooking because of my frequent stomach problems and all of these problems with fast food.

Then next morning we were both still angry at each other. It was really raining and she was getting ready for work. I’ve asked her something regarding the food and she just gave it me in my face. She hit the coffee table and flew right next to me almost hitting me. Then after I asked her to give her a ride, she started that she would rather sit in an another man’s car than with me. And that Im an ignorant and selfish prick. That table toss with the car statement really spiked my blood pressure, i just packed my bags for a few days to my parents house and told her to move out when she finds a new place.

Gdje zurimo ljudi?

Posa ti je udaljen 15 minuta laganom voznjom. Isao sam do Beograda i nazad bez problema.

Imamo li problem u nasem obrazovanju?

Nasa djeca sigurno nisu manje inteligentna, u to sam cvrsto ubijedjen.

I jos uz to sto raste broj vrsnjackog nasilja.

Ko ovdje donosi odluku koliko cijena stana vrijedi?
