An update from yesterday’s post. To recap Rogers is holding my devices at gunpoint and won’t let me voluntarily leave their network after they offered me a friendly disconnect and then changed their mind in less than 24 hours. Now ongoing with CCTS, my complaint with Rogers initially started on the basis of unusable data meaning I can’t load Google Maps outside, no streaming works and I can’t even browse social media all while holding a steady and healthy 5G connection. Meanwhile I demonstrated with proof that the same devices work excellent on a competitors network in the same geographical circle.

Now Rogers sent their own internal account notes to CCTS and I genuinely can’t believe how much they undermine their own response.

Rogers is now been framing this as me complaining about “slow network data speeds.”

So my complaint moved to the next stage with CCTS today, and Rogers sent over their response along with supporting documents.

One of the attachments was their own internal account/technical notes.

Their formal response says there were no significant network issues and that increased traffic is not the same as a network outage.

Then their own Tier 2 notes say:

“capacity is an issue as per SLAM tool”

and

“due to amount of users on the towers speeds will be slow at times”

and

“Upgrades are planned around this area but no ETA”

Then their Office of the President notes also say they were escalating to Tier 2 to determine whether a “friendly disconnect” was still appropriate.

Then the next day there’s another note saying:
“OOP has adv not to contact the cx anymore CASE CLOSED”

They also attached the email where I specifically told them my complaint not simply being about slow speeds, but about repeatedly having no usable cellular data.

So their CCTS response basically says there’s no significant network problem, while the internal notes they attached say capacity is an issue, upgrades are planned, and there’s no ETA.

I’m honestly just amazed they submitted all of this themselves. How do you submit your own evidence and somehow argue against yourself at the same time?

I am at a loss for words.

Has anyone been in a similar situation before?

I am constantly checking emails and I have my phone on my person at all times. Nobody from Rogers has reached out yet.

Reddit made it seem as if it was like throwing a nuclear bomb in their backyard. But no reaction at all so far.

I provided the CCTS with a boatload of evidence including service ticket numbers, OOP email paper trails and screenshots. They have all the evidence in the world they could possibly need.

I’ve been doomscrolling through 1688. I just want to give up.

Only dug up a TF frame I was interested in and it’s plated so that gives me an option but for the life of me I can’t find anything else besides that.

Is there a one stop seller that can find the frames I want and the lenses I want without having me to jump through a dozen hoops?

I’ve messaged a few sellers already and got nowhere. Cindy is at least working with me on what options they have. I don’t mind paying a seller to source frames. That is my objective anyway.

Does anyone have any advice on how I can go about this?

I have been to a handful of podiatrists already and none of which are able to identify the root cause to my sesamoid pain or provide any measures to ease it.

Like I mentioned I have zero trauma or injury history. It just happened out of the blue during a work trip where I walked a lot and my sesamoid never stopped hurting ever since.

It’s been close to 2 months now. The last podiatrist I saw offered cortisol injection but that does not sound like fun at all.

I have also tried and ordered custom orthotics experimented with a dozen or so shoes and nothing gives.

Is there light at the end of this tunnel? Can anyone comment on this? Did I develop arthritis before 40?

Hi all.

I have a PTO coming up in July (won’t be able to take one again till Christmas due to construction project starting soon) and I really want to go down south for a nice relaxing vacation.

Can anyone point me in the right direction where we can find crystal clear water on a budget in July?

Seems like Riviera Maya is a complete write off. Punta Cana is also seeing lots of sargassum. We did look at Bahayibe also but we’re a bit spooked with Viva Dominicus burning down. Jamaica is out of our budget.

Is there nowhere we can go?

I am contemplating a cruise at this point but tbh I do not want to spend 7 days on a Petri dish.

If anyone has recommendations or is staying somewhere that would be up our alley I’d greatly appreciate it.

I have a 600 sqft condo. 2 cats. Laminate flooring everywhere and 1 area rug.

Looking for mid range options under 500.

My Miele Celebration (not sure which model it is but it’s yellow and made in China) motor gave up and the shop told me it’s not worth to replace it as it’s a budget low end Miele. Plus I bought it over 10 years ago so warranty is out of the question.

Now I am currently looking at the below to replace it with:

Miele Guard L1 Cat and Dog, at Costco it’s $499.

My concern is it seems overkill for such a small space. And dimension wise it seems MASSIVE compared my little yellow Miele.

Sebo K2, basically sold at every vacuum dealer near me for $499.

My concern here is the head seems very bulky and not as narrow as the parquet twister allowing me to get into nooks and crannies with ease.

And at $499 it seems like a lower tier model compared to the L1 Costco is selling for the same price.

Miele Guard S1 parquet, on sale at Bestbuy and smaller shops for $449.

Similar situation as the Sebo, if for 50 dollars more or the same price as the L1 why not get the higher end version.

So are there any mid tier options available or is this basically the gist of where the market is at??

My optician is getting a large batch tomorrow. I’m in Canada if that matters. I have never heard of this brand before but they are getting some high appraise apparently and I was told it was on the same level as Etnia Barcelona or even higher quality than them.

I’m currently wearing Blackfin titanium and looking for a second pair in acetate. Looking on their website (Woodys) I have found lots of great options.

If anyone has any experience with Woodys that can comment on their durability/quality that would be fantastic.
