Please help me choose a show - only one night in nyc, my dad (75) and me (48)

Edit: it’s for this week (8/19 or 8/20).
Please help me choose a show! One night only for my elderly dad and me. Something he’ll easily be able to understand (meaning literally — like he easily mishears words). He has a very short attention so nothing too long or serious. Something fun and easy. THANK YOU
PS Have made a short list but please recommend anything don’t go by my list:
Lost boys
Ragtime
Maybe happy ending
Six
Operation mincemeat
Two strangers
Masquerade

Whistler by Ann Patchett: why does Daphne…

This was my second Ann Patchett book, my first being Tom Lake. They felt like homework and I struggled to get through both of them.
Whistler is Daphne recounting every minute detail of her childhood with which she seems disinterested up until this point in her life. Here’s my biggest problem with this book: if Eddie meant as much to Daphne as she said he did, how and why could she neither think about him nor ever try to find him?

Ablation made more worse - one year down, will it ever get better?

Trusted Mayo Clinic unfortunately. The ablation caused terrible nerve pain. It’s been one year. Anyone experience more pain afterwards? Did it get better?

Glycerin has more calories than sugar

Glycerin = 4.32kcal/g
Sugar = 4.0kcal/g
I prefer 2 tsp per pint which adds an extra 54 calories. This is the same for propylene glycol, alcohol, and other fillers in the flavor extracts. Something to consider when tallying nutrient content

Custom dosing a .5mg pen

My doctor has given me a .5 mg pen. If I want to go down slightly, can I click to customize? Say to .33 for example? I know this can be done with the 1 and 2mg, just unsure about the .5. Thank you!

Deciding which surgery to do

TOS surgery or styloid removal? Story: I had tonsillectomy and two months later developed severe tightness with pins and needles in the top of my neck, base of skull, and top of head. The pain is constant and never goes away. I cannot touch anywhere on my neck due to pain.

1.5 years later, I developed trap and arm pain. I also had a radiofrequency ablation at c2-c4 so uncertain if this caused the arm pain. Scalene nerve blocks and botox eliminated the pain on the left side, but didn't touch the right side. Now my right side is where all the pain is.
Eagle syndrome doctor wants to remove styloid, even though imaging is normal. He says this is common after tonsillectomy and causes my symptoms.
TOS doctor wants to surgery due to arm pain, but can't confirm that the primary symptom - neck/skull pain - will resolve.
I have had every test in the book. I don't have neuralgia because my pain is not stabbing. It is dull, constant, pulling tightness. I've had many procedures and nothing has helped.
Please comment only if you've had surgery. Thank you so very much to everyone.

Lost 60% of hair so far and it’s not stopping - all labs are fine

This is after one brushing. It’s every day. What have others done to combat this? Are there labs that revealed there was a problem for you? All of mine are fine. I can’t tolerate minoxidil but even if I could I’d need the shedding to stop first. Thank you.

Those that had surgery: did this get better? Did you also have these symptoms…

If your hands did this, did you also have trap and skull base pain? Did that pain improve with surgery? Ty!

Ferritin falsely elevated due to inflammation

My ferritin is low: 20. Then I had a medical mishap (liver hemorrhage from a biopsy) and my ferritin skyrocketed because it’s also a measure of inflammation. Ferritin went to 450 in a week. So ferritin for iron reasons is now “hidden” despite still being low. Now my doc won’t do my iron infusion. Any advice VERY appreciated!

Grinds + cold water overnight in French press?

Sorry if asked and answered. Can I add cold water to course grounds in French press, steep overnight, then plunge the next day? If this won’t work, mind telling me what to do instead please?
