If anyone wants to try it out, they have a booth at Hakata.

Hana Akari tickets

They sold out in seconds so I bought them from a tour company instead. They are the green box seats for 4 but I only need 2 and feel bad letting them go to waste. It's for September 27 going from Osaka to Otsu. It includes a one night hotel at Biwako Otsu Prince Hotel as well. If anyone is interested, let me know.

Shinkansen

I had planned to visit Kagoshima in October from Hakata. Will the shinkansen be operational by then?

Wallet with IC card access

It feels impossible to find a nice RFID leather wallet, bifold with cash compartment that also has an outside window/pocket to tap IC card. Would appreciate any leads.

Second HDD not detected

I have a SATA connected with the same power cable for my primary SSD. I switched to a different SATA port on the motherboard but it's still not being detected in BIOS. It's a pretty old drive but it worked last time I used it. Other than trying a different SATA cable, is there anything else I am missing?

Merch for Americans?

Someone posted wishing Doraemon would get more popular in America so that we would get more merchandise here. I joked about starting an import business since I am visiting Japan later this year.

I am not doing that but I am debating buying merch for people. I always visit the Fujiko Museum when I visit Japan so I could grab something. The thing is I can likely only buy for one person because I have limited luggage space and I want stuff for myself lol.

Would there be any interest in this? If so, how would I pick the person? You would have to be in America and willing to pay in advance and for shipping.

Audio unmutes after unlocking screen

Installed 26.04 this week and everything seems great except a tiny quirk. Whenever I unlock my screen, the audio is somehow unmuted even though I keep it on mute. Anyone else?

Why does the Y have such odd hours this week?

Why is reddit so toxic? I ask a question and people who don't know the answer respond with their assumptions and get upvoted but when I respond demonstrating their answer doesn't make sense, I get downvoted.

I realize this isn't a college paper but repeating the word data ad nauseam doesn't answer the question.

Free shinkansen to Kagoshima?

I read somewhere that they were considering offering free shinkansen tickets from Hakata to Kagoshima. Have they released any more details?

Are components really expensive?

Everyone is saying ram and ssd prices are outrageous but I just dug up my order from 2012. That's 14 years ago! $315 for CPU, mobo, 8GB DDR3, 1TB, 450W PSU, and mid tower. https://imgur.com/a/UmzueAu

Today I am looking at the same number of components minus tower for $600. Double the price but in addition to 14 years of inflation later, it's also easily double the computing power.

Not really a loss but not sure how else to tag. Held MU for years then sold before liberation day thinking I was being smart.
