How are we all prioritising our peace in preparation for retrieval?

I'm preparing to do my first cycle, and I'm trying to keep myself very calm and stress-free, but have recently been through a break up and am experiencing major grief as a woman in my late 30s with all my friends around me having babies. How are we all keeping things peaceful in the lead up to this?

For those who had children, how much did your romantic/sex life with your partner change in the long run?

I'm struggling with the decision and this is one of the things I think about. Obviously in the immediate months your sex life is likely to be affected. I'm talking about in the longer term - is it a relationship killer as much as some of my friends say it is?

What is everyone up to this weekend?

it's saturday night here in the UK and i'm on my sofa, doing a puzzle, watching TV and drinking an alcohol free beverage... i haven't seen a soul in a few days but i just feel peaceful here all by myself. i broke up with someone recently and being alone is giving my body the rest and security it needs.

happy weekend!

Child free feelings emerging suddenly in late 30s? anyone else had this?!

I was very pro becoming a parent all my life and it was something i desperately wanted. However, at 34, I experienced a big break up which started making me question things, however I still thought i'd have kids eventually. I've had flickerings of wanting kids over the past few years, but I recently dated someone totally CF, and (although we've now broken up), I'm now having seriously strong CF feelings and allowing myself to imagine what that would be like, and suddenly I'm struggling to get the desire back to have children. Has anyone else experienced this? I guess i don't really know what to believe!

What's the best advice you can give to someone who has broken up with a man that wasn't sure about their relationship?

edited for clarity: I have broken up with someone that said they weren't sure about our relationship. They kept going back and forth and were unable to commit to me. I am heartbroken. Any advice you can offer for heartbreak would be really appreciated.

How to deal with heartbreak when living alone

I've broken up with someone I really liked and I'm feeling disappointed and low! How are we all managing these tough times when living solo? I love living alone but it can be hard when it's just you and your thoughts.

EDIT - i think my initial post was misleading, technically they broke up with me, although it's a bit murky

Why did Robert behave the way when Miranda broke up with him?

He seemed really hurt in the elevator with Steve and Miranda, and then he behaved badly on the stairwell when he bumped into Miranda. Then he immediately seemed fine when Steve went to visit him and was hooking up with women? I never really got this ...

Broke up with my latest boyfriend after a series of difficult heartbreaks in my 30s… will this get better?

I’m 36, and have just broken up with my boyfriend of 6 months because he felt conflicted about the relationship. He seemed attached to me, but for some reason the commitment was giving him severe anxiety which was in turn giving me severe anxiety.

This is my third heartbreak in my 30s. One from a major long term relationship where we realised we weren’t ultimately each other’s person, and another from someone who I dated for a long time but didn’t commit.

I wanted children and a family, but at nearly 37, and absolutely no desire to get back out there any time soon, and very little desire to even get out of bed, I feel I need to resign myself to a different kind of life.

I don’t know what I’m looking for - moral support maybe? Stories from people who were in a similar position to me but had a happy ending? Anything to help me feel less alone would be greatly appreciated ❤️

Did anyone switch positions in their late 30s?

For context - wanted a child all my life, went through a lot of chaos in my 30s relationship-wise, now at 36 I'm starting to consider being CF for the first time in my life. Have others experienced something similar?

What are some really good, engaging books written by psychotherapists?

I really enjoy reading books written by psychotherapists, as I love considering things from a psychotherapist's perspective, and this helps me to consider my own patterns. In particular, I love psychodynamic therapy. What must-reads do you recommend?

What's the quickest/easiest way to change your life drastically for the better?

Keen to hear your thoughts. My "lowest hanging fruit" has probably been quitting alcohol.

Well known musicians that work 9 to 5s or have side jobs?

I'm wondering at what point artists feel ready to quit their job. Are there any well known artists that are known to have other careers to pay the bills?

Anyone know why my Logic Pro download is stuck in the App store?

Hi all, I purchased Logic Pro today as I decided to finally upgrade from Garageband. The only thing is my download is stuck in the App store! I updated my software so no issues there. Has anyone experienced this before? I've tried deleting it from the applications but it won't delete. I've restarted a million times. I've made more space in storage and nothing (I have about 30 GB free now). I right click to try and stop the download and restart it, but it won't do anything.

Grateful for any help anyone can provide!

EDIT - i'm using macOS 15.7.7 and downloading Logic version 12.2 i believe?

EDIT 2 - Solved! it was storage-related - thank you so much everyone that replied!

Timelines in SATC

What are the timelines in SATC? I know we mostly know how old they are, but I'm talking lengths of relationships - like, how long was Carrie with Berger, how long was Charlotte with Trey? Is this something we ever get to know?
