The Machinist

I watched the Machinist over the weekend and I liked it, however there is one part at the end I don’t understand. >!When Trevor is about to leave to turn himself in, his landlord comes in and asks if she can buy his glass bowl. He said no because it was his mother’s bowl so it means a lot to him. Then he told her that a truck is coming to pick up his belongings and donate everything.!< Why not just let the landlord have the bowl if you’re just donating it? I feel like I’m missing something as it doesn’t contribute anything to the plot maybe other than showing he still isn’t making any sense? I guess it just seems too random to not mean something. I know it’s pretty trivial but I can’t stop thinking about it lol. Thanks for your ideas :)

Three cards have been hacked and fraudulently used in the past two months

I am so drained from these it’s insane. I have created new email, changed every password, got new cards, am I doing something wrong? I don’t understand how I keep getting hacked, especially my Apple Cash. There is no other device logged into my Apple ID that settings shows. If this is the wrong subreddit I’m sorry. I just need some advice if possible. Thank you.

Apple Cash card number used fraudulently

How is this possible? Should I be concerned of being hacked? It was used at Walmart and declined because I don’t have much money in my Apple Cash. It specifically says card number. I thought Apple Cash was more of a discreet way to purchase items since it can’t be skimmed? This is also the third time a card has been hacked in the past two months, I changed all my emails, passwords, and card numbers minus Apple Cash.

Worth it to travel from the east coast for my birthday?

For my birthday this year, I’ve been thinking about taking a flight to see Meow Wolf in New Mexico. Is this worth flying from Massachusetts to see? Or is this more of an “if you’re in the area might as well check it out” type of thing? (NM because I’ve heard it’s the best overall location I know that’s subjective but it seems to be the consensus but part of me wants to check out the LA location if it opens by December) thanks in advance for opinions :)

October vs December

Hello! I’m planning a trip to Iceland and was just looking for a bit of advice! I was originally planning to go this December, but after research I’ve been slightly discouraged due to the snow (I am from Massachusetts I’m used to five feet of snow, however in a foreign country in the dark makes me nervous). I am now wondering if I should go early October of 2027 instead. This way, I can sight see more and still have a chance of seeing northern lights. I was also wondering the best way to I guess “book” sight seeing excursions? Thank you !

New yellowish indent on tooth?

I brush my teeth twice a day everyday and try my best to floss everyday (doesn’t always happen, but I don’t go crazy long without flossing). I don’t smoke or drink. This little yellow circle feels slightly indented into my tooth and it’s brand new. Maybe I just haven’t been observant, but today is the first I’ve noticed this and I focus on my teeth a lot in the mirror when I’m brushing. Is it a cavity? I’ve never had one on the front of my tooth before. My last dental cleaning was about a year ago and my dental insurance through my mom expired unfortunately. Just super bizarre to me and it’s freaking me out. Thank you.

Is it okay to seal with plastic wrap?

I decided to make impromptu pickles since my boyfriend’s mom grew some cucumbers in her garden. I found the perfect size mason jar in my cupboard but I can’t find the top lid. I did two layers of plastic wrap over the top, twisted the seal, and added one more over the top and seal. Is this okay?

[TOMT] [SHOW] [2000’s] Vietnamese kids cartoon

I’m asking for my Vietnamese boyfriend. We are trying to find a show he grew up watching (early 2000’s) of a blue tiger with a curly tail that hopped across trees? He said he knows it sounds like a monkey but he’s pretty sure it was a tiger. He also is pretty sure it is a Vietnamese show and not just dubbed because when he would go to Vietnam, there were a lot of kids clothing and backpacks with this character on it. We can’t find anything online for it. Thanks :)

Forgot levo on a weekend trip

Hey guys, Friday-Sunday I was without my levothyroxine because I forgot to bring it with me (I know, very negligent). I just got back to it and I’ve seen mixed advice online. Should I take my normal dose plus an extra half every day until it makes up for the three missed doses? Or should I just leave it and continue my regular doses? Also I have felt extreme anxiety to the point of nausea all day yesterday and today, can missing levo cause that? Thanks :)

Pretty sure I’m an autumn

NMIP. Not sure what type of autumn though. If this lighting is too direct I can retake them, it’s cloudy out so the natural lighting does feel very bright and white. Most of my clothes are earthy browns and greens. The only type of pink I feel like I can get away with is a very dusty or muted one. I don’t know if I did the drapes right but I chose some different colors from my wardrobe. Thank you!!

Deactivated card still being charged?

Last month my card information got stolen so obviously I got a new card and the bank deactivated the old one. I never updated my uber subscription with my new card and my bank didn’t auto replace it with my new information either. I just got a charge from the uber subscription using my old card. Does this mean that card number is still active and connected to my bank account? If so, can the hacker still use it? It’s not on my bank app or anything anymore. Thank you in advance

[US] Card hacked twice in one month

A few weeks ago my debit card got hacked but my bank flagged the charge as fraudulent. This morning I woke up to five emails stating “your order has been placed!” From various retailers. They used my boyfriend’s card with my email. There must be a leak with my email however when I logged into my email there was no suspicious activity other than this. Is there any way to stop my information from continuously getting leaked or figure out where this breech is coming from? I also received the shipping address on all the orders to some PO Box in Georgia, can I report this address to the police or USPS?

Would anyone want shirts or posters?

I’m cleaning out my closet and I found a bag full of old band tees (size medium). Mostly fall out boy but others as well such as Pierce the veil, panic!, paramore, and all time low. I also have one fall out boy poster, one ptv, and one paramore. If anyone’s interested in anything let me know! Everything is 10 years old keep that in mind but clean and good condition.
EDIT: yay I’m glad so many of you are interested! I’m going to wash them all tomorrow so they aren’t wrinkly and I’ll send everyone who is interested a picture of what I have! I’ll DM everyone who has commented or you can DM me as well :)

Switching from local to national insurance

I’m looking to change my insurance from a local place I’ve had for a few years to Liberty Mutual because it’s almost half of the cost. Full coverage, seven years licensed, 0 claims was $2715 for a year at the place I’ve been insured through. I have heard a lot of stories about people having issues when switching to a national insurance because they aren’t knowledgeable in state specific laws and regulations. Has anyone had issues with switching from a local to national insurance or with liberty mutual in general? Thank you!
