After seeing so many "how can Peter afford all this?" posts, I did some math and put together this little analysis... I spent way too long on this so please indulge me if you will.

If Aunt May left Peter a modest inheritance (life insurance, retirement plan, some savings), Peter’s technical skills, freelance work, fabrication abilities, and some investing could plausibly fund a pretty modest life while giving him the flexibility to operate as Spider-Man full-time. Here’s my best attempt at putting some numbers to it.

• For May's inheritance, it's a given that she worked in management for a non-profit (FEAST). We also should assume she was smart enough to plan for the future and had a life insurance policy and a retirement plan where Peter was named the beneficiary. We should also assume she had some savings or other assets that Peter would benefit from.
• For Peter's income, we are going to throw the whole "photographer" job out the window because that's not a viable source of income these days, especially given Peter has so many tech and science related skills that would pay out better.
• I'm going to assume that Peter would be ok with trading in cryptocurrency, and might have a pretty good understanding of how that market works... my estimate for his Crypto returns is pretty conservative though.

I do this kind of analysis work at my job pretty often (although for much more boring use cases), so I think my logic is sound. Any feedback is welcome.

"But Joel didn't call him after the trade!" The narrative that he and Joel don't like each other, that they wouldn't get along, that this move spelled impending Embiid trade, etc... all speculation by fans and media talking heads. Vibes are good. Hoping to see one big lovefest all season long.

• We don't see a toilet in Peter's apartment PLOT HOLE - how does he take a dump?
• How does MJ and Ned afford that sweet apartment in Manhattan of all places? PLOT HOLE!?!
• We never see the Punisher eat the chili he made!!! How do we know it didn't go to waste? Did he even put it in a tupperware container and into the fridge? PLOT HOLE!
• Spidey jumped into Yelena's banya/onsen/communal bath with his underwear ON! So are we assuming he put his suit back on OVER the wet boxer briefs? How did he get them dry, or was he swinging around with a big wet spot on his Spidey crotch?!!? PLOT HOLE!!!

...seriously, what were they thinking when they decided to put that pink filter over everything after “Primogenesis”?!? I just started the DLC and reached Mysidia, and wow... seeing the game in natural lighting again makes such a huge difference. I felt compelled to take these screenshots after soaking in the virtual sun outside of Mysidia, and I'm not really a screenshot/in-game photographer type.

The game is mostly visually stunning otherwise, but you spend nearly half of it looking through this gross pink wash. Will I ever get to see Dhalmekia or Waloed without that sickly, oppressive rose-colored filter covering everything? I actually like the game a lot, other than this (valid) complaint. I understand why they wanted to make the sky and atmosphere seem change to match the tone of the story, but maybe they could have approached it a different way.

EDIT: I just want to be clear that I absolutely LOVE this game. The visuals, the music, the story - I think this game is wildly underrated and overhated by FF fans. The pink sky just really bugs me because I want to see Valisthea in all its natural beauty! But I get the decision for the Primogensis effect - it makes sense with the story. It's just a minor complaint from me, and makes the the DLC more impactful.
