i dont get the obsession with inflatables

this isnt a hate post i just wanna know why people do what they do

i get using inflatable items i use them occasionally like using a ring in bed for something comfortable

but i feel like some people are extremely obsessive in the way they talk or how many they use at once like stacking tons of them

seen a few people with entire rooms floor to ceiling with inflatables and they absolutely love it

i dont get it, if anyone could explain why people stack loads of inflatables or use them as literally everything cus i just find it confusing

recommendations for decent inflatable footrests for cheap

most on amazon seem to not last very long

i use a gymnastics roll at home but its something i can pack in a backpack when i go places

any recommendations

rather not spend over £10 to £12 tops

not sure if having a backpack with me is helpful or not

usually has a soft cuddly item, box of toys, water, and ear defenders inside

but it makes my back sweaty and even tho i use themed backpacks i like especially in the summer it makes me really sweaty and i hate it

ear defenders are stupid helpful thats why i carry the backpack but im not entirely sure what to do

and having the backpack people instantly assume i can carry stuff for them which completely defeats the purpose of having only a few things in my bag

what can i do and are the ear defenders truly worth it for the few times i use them (tho they stop things going badly when i need them) and is there an easy solution to carry them (not bags over my shoulder)

looking for a fidget toy to replace my current habit

at work ive started using a pair of pliers to fidget with, specifically keeping them open to make a + shape and spinning it around the fingers or over the top of them

noones said anything but all it takes is dropping them on someone and itll be a complaint

is there anything heavy and fixed like this, something thats preferably grippy that can replace pliers for that use?

having a hard time trying to focus on things with new contacts

first time trying contacts, i have a very high prescription.

they said they wont be as good as my glasses but i should still see fine.

wore them for about 2 hours i cant focus on anything properly, every light looks hazy, and i cant read properly without straining my eyes, and anything more than about 30ft away i cant see properly it wss like my eyes were seeing 2 different things at the same time.

i know they say you need to adjust to them but is this a sign to just not try them a second time?

any advice would be appreciated

also the optician knows distance was a little blurry with them on and told me to just try them for a few days its the closest they can get to my prescription

not sure what to do about my preferences

kinda losing interest in a lot of toy type inflatable items

i still love gym balls especially the peanut shaped ones and some inflatable toys like armbands and rings can be ok but otherwise im just losing interest in them and idk what to do about it if anything can be done or what else can i do about it?
