Sulit na ba to for the price?

I'm looking for a daily city driver within metro manila. Is this a good second hand price?

Is it still possible to get flights below 8k pesos these days?

I've been waiting for seat sales constantly but it looks like even seat sale prices reach almost 10k.

at this point i've just been waiting to travel to any other country in Asia with a flight below 8k in the next 12 months. so far i've only been able to book a round trip to kaohsiung.

are the days of getting seat sale tickets worth 3k gone for good? will we even get tickets below 8k?

Funds are gone, KYC is gone, account has been erased.

Anyone experienced this sort of issue? I was just about to log-in to gcash and my biometrics log-in wasn't working at all. Palaging gcash is having an error. Then. eventually logging in with my phone number which already has an active account, leads to sign-up. So I had no choice but to sign up, so that I can create a support ticket.

They are absolutely no help, they insist because I am logged in there's no problem with my account. The idiots in the support team don't understand no matter how I explain to them that my account which is supposed to have active funds, an active KYC, and transaction history, are all gone. Literally zero left in the account and I have to KYC still with zero transaction history.

This is incredibly alarming, has anyone had this happen to them before? I'm about to file a formal complaint to the BSP.

Tablet for work and media consumption

I need a tablet for multitasking work. Excel, word, pdfs, browser, slack, etc. Nothing heavy like editing, just productivity stuff but i want a smooth experience.

Preferably i want a good screen too. AMOLED if possible, or a really good LCD if the difference is negligible.

Any good tablet recs? I've been thinking about the Samsung Galaxy S11 but i was wondering if this is overkill. I don't mind spending that much if it's worth it, but I don't want to unnecessarily overspend if that makes sense so budget is flexible but I'm looking for that sweet spot in price to performance.

Also, is there any merit to waiting for the new gens for example to get a discount on the current gens?

Suggest a laptop for office productivity

I also posted in the international build a pc sub so I'm copy pasting their form here:

Budget

30,000 to 50,000 PHP (approx. 600 to 850 USD)

Are you open to refurbs/used options?

Yes but prefer brand new if the value is good anyway.

Screen size

Any

Weight limit

No specific limit but on the lighter side for sure.

Purpose

Remote business development work, lead generation, heavy multi-tab browsing, and an entertainment device for movies while traveling. I plan to travel a few times a year.

Form factor

Standard/Clamshell

Intended usage

Heavy web browsing with multiple simultaneous tabs (Chrome/Edge), CRM software (Salesforce/HubSpot), lead gen tools, light Microsoft Excel sheets, and high-definition movie streaming (Netflix). No gaming or video editing required. Heaviest I'd play is a pokemon emulator so no GPU requirements.

Desired battery life

8+ hours of actual office productivity and video playback but I don't know if that's realistic.

Please list, in order of most important to least important, the priority between Size, Weight, Performance, Battery life

  1. Battery life

  2. Weight = Performance

  3. Size

Info/Requirements

16GB of RAM is highly preferred to prevent slowdowns during heavy multitasking.

Highly appreciate any suggestions!

I am going to earn 5k a month paid in Crypto (USDC). Am I eligible for the 0-rated VAT?

If I'm going to be paid in USDC, what's the tax filing process? Also how do they track this anyway am I supposed to provide the crypto wallet? Does anyone have similar experience?

Anyone from athena resigned before 1 year contract ended?

I'm 4.5 months into my contract. My contract only states penalties if resigning before 3 months for the training bond, and if i don't render 30 days.

I plan to resign now. I hate my job and have another lined up already.

For former athena EAs, or anyone who can answer, is it fine to resign even if the contract period hasn't ended?

When resigning do i need to mention that I have another job offer already?

From GPT: The training bond — and an important timing nuance (Section N)

This is the clause to read carefully, because it's internally inconsistent:

It says you "agree to remain employed... for a minimum of twelve (12) months." But the only concrete monetary penalty attaches to a different trigger: leaving "before the end of the initial three-month period," in which case you'd owe ₱166,500 (the stated training cost).

As written, the ₱166,500 penalty is tied to that three-month window — which you're now past. The 12-month "commitment" is stated but isn't clearly attached to a specific dollar penalty in the text. On a plain reading, the bond's hard penalty no longer applies to you.

Considering this, I should be in the clear right?

Sulit na ba for the price? Samsung Galaxy S25 FE from their authorized shopee store

I got this for 19k after scrolling and seeing they had a live selling. It was a huge discount on the live and limited to a number of stocks only. Someone posted a similar deal a week ago so it seems they have these every now and then.

At 19k, is there a better phone?
