Major help needed with F2!!

I failed F2 about 3 weeks ago and I absolutely must resit it at some point in the next 3 weeks as my Kaplan resources are going to run out.

I failed by only 3 marks, I took two weeks off studying (mistake I know but I was so burnt out and had a busy couple of weekends anyway) but now iv gone back I honestly feel back at square one.

I absolutely cannot get my head around Leases & PUP & no matter how hard I try I can’t remember the causes of movements in ratios.

Does anyone have any tips on F2 in general or those particular subjects?

Thanks in advance

The best show in the entire world

This is a totally irrelevant post but I am just getting ready for work & Heated Rivalry pops up in my suggested watches on Sky. I haven’t watched it since February (out of sheer will power) & I was like fuck it I’ll just watch the trailer quickly to feel something haha. I literally cried at 7am, AT THE TRAILER. Once again reminding me how this show does something to me that no other show has ever achieved. Wtf did they put in this show. Honestly when I finally let myself watch it again I am going to feel high!!!!

Lexi, Mark, Alex, Christina, Owen WHAT???!!!

I’m on S6 E11 & WTF have I just watched.

Lexi leaving Mark because he actually wants to be a good dad & then getting with Alex!?!?

Christina literally saying she will give Owen away to another women for a chance at more surgeries!?!?

Two of my favourite ships ruined in one episode lol what the hell I’m shocked!

What are your favourite scenes/ aesthetics from TLOU?

Im asking this out of pure curiosity because I was just looking at my Mac wallpaper remembering how LONG it took me to settle on which ones to include as I had a million ideas lol (I had no idea what flair to use for this)

Issues with Sky Stream

Has anyone else expericed issues with Sky Stream? Our wifi is not the best anyway & we are getting an upgrade in a couple of weeks but the strange thing is the apps on my tv are working fairly well.

It’s the actual Sky tv that isn’t, if I’m watching itv2 it will constantly freeze and buffer but if I go into ITVX app and watch itv2 live it works fine so it’s clearly something to do with the Sky Stream puck and not the wifi.

Has anyone experienced/ got a fix for this? It’s been happening for about 2 weeks now.

I hope I don’t have Julia down wrong

I genuinely see her as someone who is extremely direct & her friends/ family on the outside are most likely the same so she can’t fully comprehend the over dramatic reactions to what she sees as her just voicing her opinion.

Iv rarely felt such empathy towards an islander because she just strikes me as massively out of her comfort zone & someone who isn’t really willing or able to alter herself to fit in. I think she‘s misunderstood & I think Lola is extremely rude (even though I can understand the initial irritation).

I will be disappointed if it turns out she genuinely is out to get screen time by causing drama (aware I will never know this for sure🤣)

Did anyone else who hadn’t played the game first get ADDICTED to the show?

I honestly got so obsessed with the show I’d never experienced anything like it before, I watched S1 like 5 times in a row. Im not really a gamer but I watched play throughs of the game on YouTube after finishing the show & as much as I liked it, it just didn’t match up. I’m kind of happy I never played/ watched a play through of the game first as I genuinely can’t imagine my introduction to TLOU world being anything other than what it was!!

I hate myself for liking Alex!!!

I am on season 4 & I absolutely cannot stand that I’m starting to really like Alex. His misogynistic comments & the way he treated Issy in S1 are unforgivable and that’s why I can’t believe I like him!! Did anyone else have this happen when they got to S4?

How is anyone defending Jasmin’s actions after tonight’s episode?

I’m finding it insane to come on here and see posts defending Jasmine & even accusing people of being ‘male centered’ for being on Kavens side in this situation. Jasmine has completely dismissed Kaven’s feelings over and over again, the end of this episode was hard to watch because he has gone back on his decision to have a break (which is clearly needed) because she has given him an unfair ultimatum. Pulling Lorenzo for 1 on 1 chats is genuinely baffling to me knowing how Kaven & increasingly Yasmin feel about the situation. Jasmine is clearly a strong women & might genuinely believe she’s done nothing wrong (and in that case I would say she is just in denial that she clearly feels like there was a missed opportunity with Lorenzo) but even so when you think you are correct you can still consider the person who your actions are affecting‘s feelings & adjust accordingly. I don’t even have any hate towards Jasmine & I really admire how she has held herself in other situations but this episode shes been utterly indefensible.

Christina so far (at the end of S2)

I started Greys a couple of weeks ago & I’m on the last episode of S2 at the moment. I absolutely cannot warm to Christina, there’s been times that I thought she was improving but since she walked away from Burke whilst he was asking her for advice about his hand operation & leaving the operating room when he needed help I just think she’s cold & rude. I understand the road they are trying to go down with her character (unemotional, smart, probably damaged & we’ll find out why she is the way she is) but I genuinely just think she’s a rude person. Is my mind going to change as I go on through the seasons?

Has there every been a fix for binging that isn’t willpower?

I’m honestly so sick of not being able to control myself. It’s so out of my control that I genuinely don’t think I’m ever going to be able to stop this.

Update me!!!

I’m taking a break from Instagram because it genuinely depresses me sometimes lol but the downside is that I feel like I’m missing out on updates for my favourite shows/ actors/ celebs etc… I have always got all my info from Insta (obviously I within reason I’m not basing my electoral votes off of it or anything haha) as it’s always been my main social media but now I don’t have it I feel left out!!! Can someone update me on if we’ve heard anything from Jacob/Rachel etc… about S2 or any major developments regarding Connor/Hudson? I appreciate I’m being so lazy btw…. thank you in advance!!!

CIMA F2

Does anyone have any tips on how they studied for F2? Im struggling with the whole thing in general (the amount of content and the actual content) and it's overwhelming me. My study provider is Kaplan and the content is good but it seems to just be going in one ear and out the other!

Does anyone else struggle with being on holiday or away from home?

Disclaimer: I am not diagnosed with any type of neurodiversity but I have long suspected that I am & may pursue a diagnosis in the future.

For as long as I can remember I have struggled with being away from home. When I was a kid I hated staying at family members for the night, I’d cry practically the entire time & if I did manage to get my hands on a phone I would just constantly call my mum. I also then started to not like being away from home even with my parents, it’s not that I didn’t like going on holiday but I became uncomfortable whenever I was not in my own home & also obsessed with cleanliness.

I was maybe 10 when I first remember my nan buying paper plates because I refused to eat from the plates in the villa that we were staying in. The thought of doing it made me so entirely uncomfortable that I would make food literally on my hand and ensure it never touched a plate or the side (btw this villa/ villas were not dirty or anything). As iv gotten older I don’t necessarily feel so strongly about this anymore but I still would avoid eating from a plate if I can, I’d rather just stick to crisps or something pre packaged but I can eat from a plate if I have too.

What is much worse now than when I was young is feeling uncomfortable sleeping in bedsheets in hotels and villas & feeling like the water isn’t clean. I have to force myself not to analyse the bedsheets because if I see even one speck of dust I really really struggle to get in bed & it’s just not realistic because a hotel is never going to be completely 100% spotless, but I can’t seem to compute the fact that a bit of dust which more than likely came from myself anyway when sitting on the bed, is not the same as having dirty sheets. With the water, I can barely even explain why I dont like it but all I know is I keep my mouth tightly closed in the shower & if it does get in my mouth I hate it & when it comes to brushing my teeth I will avoid it as much as I can i.e. I’ll only brush once a day or I will use such minimal water that I’m practically brushing dry.

Like I said I’m not even 100% sure that I’m neurodiverse but this is just another thing that adds to my long list of stuff that I feel might point that way & I’m wondering if anyone has the same problem when away from home.

Edit: just wanted to add that it’s not lost on me how snobby this sounds, I’m really not that person. I know some people don’t even have a bed or clean water, I just can’t help the way I feel and I wish I could.

AITA in this very random situation

I broke up with my ex 7 years ago, it was a really bad relationship. He was extremely controlling & manipulative among other things but without going into detail long story short it was just very fucked up. Since the breakup he contacted me once around 3 years after trying to reconcile & accept responsibility for his actions but I essentially shut him down. I wasn’t rude (although I don’t think anyone would blame me if I was) but I was blunt & I made it clear (I thought) that there wouldn’t be a chance of reconciliation ever. Within this message I did say that we could be civil and he should move on (whilst I did mean this it was more said because I also hoped that it would suppress any further attempts to contact me grovelling).

Fast forward to recently he drops off a birthday card with 1 ticket to a football match he is playing in. I didnt see him they were left with my dad & the card said something along the lines of ‘if you want to come and support please do if not no worries‘ - I ignored it. I was honestly totally shocked & I almost thought that it was more of a showcase of ‘look at how good I’m doing now’ and not necessarily because he thought I’d ever come (I mean it seems ridiculous to me that he thought I would).

A mutual friend messaged me the day before the match asking if I was going, I said no, that I was really shocked to receive a ticket & would never consider being friends with him.

I recieved a message from his cousin the day of the football match, saying that he (my ex) is devastated because of what I said to the mutual friend, that he is going to pull out of the football match because hes not in the right headspace & the message essentially asked me to message him ‘good luck’ or ‘something to make him feel better’???? I didnt see this message on the day, I saw it two days later and as far as I’m aware the football match still went ahead but in a way I’m glad I didn’t see it on the day because I would have been feeling guilty as if I’d done something terrible to upset someone & ruin a whole event. I essentially replied to his cousin saying that I can’t see what iv done wrong and it seems like I’m just being guilt tripped because I haven’t given the response he hoped for.

AITA for not accepting responsibility for him feeling this way?? AITA for not RSPV’ing to say I won’t attend?? Could I have dealt with this situation better?

Struggling in debate/ discussion

Im hoping someone else struggles with this & maybe has found some ways to overcome it or manage it… I hope I am allowed to post here as I am not diagnosed as neurodiverse but I have for a long time suspected that I am, I haven’t actively sought a diagnosis but I am feeling more like I possibly should.

When I want to prove a point, or when I know I am right or when I see my point of view as moral and someone else’s as immoral or bigoted I really struggle to articulate myself. I will ramble so much to the point that I almost start lying or fabricating statistics or evidence to prove my point. I feel horrible because it is manipulative, I rationalise the guilt by telling myself I’m fighting the moral argument (which isn’t just me being delusional, I have strong views and I would like to think I am always on the side of the oppressed so I genuinely do believe that a lot of the time I’m morally correct) but with that being said it still isn’t right and it’s something I wish I could change. Another thing that happens is I’m so intent on getting my point across, I’m talking so fast & manically that if someone says ‘but you just said ***’ I genuinely can’t remember if I did say it, so I instantly say ‘no I didn‘t’ but I’m not even sure if that’s true!

I have extremely strong views on political and social issues, I can become quite fixated when someone making a discriminatory comment, I can’t just brush over it and I do unfortunately find myself having outburst where I feel like I almost go into a manic state. I cry, I go into my room and spend sometimes hours texting paragraphs to those involved desperately hoping to get my point across or looking up evidence to prove my point. Then after I feel extremely ashamed & embarrassed about my reaction which in the grand scheme of things is probably an overreaction in anyone else’s eyes but to me, someone who takes things very seriously & tends to feels others pain, it is a valid reaction.

The whole process of my reactions & how I deal with confrontation or debate is not good for me, even if I feel like I’m fighting the good fight it really leaves me drained, overwhelmed & just not feeling positive at all.

AITA for not caring about how my reactions to things make people feel anymore

For context I am pretty sure I am undiagnosed neurodivergent in some way but that doesn’t take away from the fact that I think my reactions are valid, but it does mean that my family don’t really understand the way I react so strongly to things. Iv spent such a long time blowing up and reacting in a very intense way (crying, shouting, going to my room and manically texting paragraphs to those involved to desperately get them to see the error of their ways) and once iv calmed down I feel so embarrassed & ashamed. Still angry & upset at those in question but also overwhelmingly embarrassed of my reaction and not being able to just ignore & walk away.

Lately I’m getting to the point where I don’t even feel guilty anymore, and Im really conflicted as to whether that’s a good or bad thing. I can be a lot. for example I shout & probably to most people’s eyes totally overreact, but at the same time I can’t punish myself for having strong reactions to racism, homophobia, misogyny & just general ignorance. I have a elderly family member who is obsessed with other people’s weight, they made many comments on mine as a kid, they constantly comment on other people’s and it just makes my blood boil, others (even peoples weight she is commenting on) don’t seem to care but I can feel myself becoming distant from them because I just can’t separate the nastiness from the actual person I love.

Hope this isn’t just a massive ramble but I honestly need some advice. I just feel like it seems unfair to punish myself with the feelings of shame and embarrassment when really I do deep down feel that my reactions are valid (just maybe they way I display them is a bit much) Is it bad and selfish that I’m at the point where I genuinely don’t give af if my reaction upsets someone even if maybe it is an overreaction?

Recs for films like ‘Speak No Evil’

I’m not a huge horror fan but I really loved Speak No Evil so I am looking for similar films.

I liked both the original and the remake, the originals ending was much more harrowing and I understand thats what makes it such an amazing piece of filmmaking but I must say I preferred the ’happier’ ending of the remake. Not necessarily opposed to recs with bleak endings but pls warn me🤣

I don’t like too much gore (I enjoyed Hostel but the gore was too much for me, Never Have I Ever I was fine with the gore…. If that helps give a scale😊)

Really appreciate any recs thanks in advance

Okay so I fear I might get hate for this post but I need to say it😭 Connor & Hudson are getting quite a bit of criticism for attending the Met Gala giving all that it represents & it being hosted by JB who essentially profits from ICE. And like….. what can I say, you can’t argue with someone pointing that out & it’s frustrating because I love Hudson & Connor.

I’m not so much for the argument that it’s distasteful to attend because normal working people are struggling with the cost of living & it’s just a ‘show of billionaires’ I mean I get that argument but Hudson & Connor are not only crazily new to the industry but they are not billionaires and I think it’s an unfair weight to put onto their shoulders just for attending an event. But the ICE argument like….. there’s just nothing I can say, I’d like to think they wasn't really given time to consider this.

I am not hating on them & I don’t think they should get any hate for going simply because they are so new in the industry, probably highly managed & booked onto events prior to accepting but my brain isnt rationalising this well😫 Also, I feel this way about other celebs I love too but Im only mentioning H & C here for obvious reasons.
