Replace compressor?

Hi, All.
Had two techs out. Both say electrical is fine but something inside compressor makes excessive noise that also travels inside via copper lines. Pressures are fine. Cooling take longer then usual. Unit 3 years old Rheem. Cost to replace compressor under warranty $750. Do it or wait and see what happens?

AC sound

Hello,
I recently started hearing a rattling or vibrating sound (similar to an old refrigerator) coming from behind the panel on my indoor air handler. I removed the panel and traced the noise to a copper pipe connection/adapter.
The noise only occurs when the system is in cooling mode. If I run the fan by itself, there is no noise at all.
An HVAC technician inspected the system and performed diagnostics but was unable to find any issues.
Has anyone experienced something similar or found the cause? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thermostat Setting

Question from South Florida:
We keep our central A/C set to 73°F during the day and raise it to 76°F overnight. Would it make sense to set it to 75°F at night instead, so the temperature difference is smaller? Right now, it takes about 1.5–2 hours each morning for the house to cool from 76°F back down to 73°F.

Surgery needed? Any advice is appreciated

Hello,

Hopefully someone can help me decide whether surgery is the right choice for me.

I’ve seen two surgeons and two gastroenterologists, and all of them have essentially said the same thing: it’s a 50/50 decision and ultimately up to me whether to proceed with surgery.

I’ve had a gallstone for more than 12 years. It has grown from 1.4 cm to 1.9 cm over that time. My symptoms have been very mild—occasional pressure or discomfort, some sensitivity to spicy and dairy foods, occasional bloating, and mild nausea. I’ve never had a severe gallbladder attack.

That said, I know the stone isn’t going away on its own. I could continue living without major issues, but there’s also the possibility of having an attack at an inconvenient time or place, such as while traveling abroad.

I’d appreciate any recommendations or experiences from others who have faced a similar decision.

Thank you.

Lending Club Review

Hi,
I opened both a Savings and CD account with LendingClub. After manually linking all of my accounts from other banks (including verifying trial deposits, etc.), I began transferring money into LendingClub from my other accounts.
Shortly afterward, for an unknown reason, my account was locked. I was then told to perform a significant amount of “legwork,” including providing screenshots from my 5–7 other bank accounts, copies of documents, and additional verification materials.
I came to LendingClub expecting ease of banking, but instead I was required to do extensive work while my funds remained locked. I called and requested that my accounts be closed because I no longer wish to do business with a company that treats customers this way.
I was told: “We will review your request and get back to you within 30 days.”
So, basically they wanted me to spend all day doing screen shots and sending the documents for my external account that have been already verified by trial deposits. Otherwise, they would hold the money hostage and then send paper check in about 30-60 days.
Luckily, I was able to intercept ACH to them by contacting sending bank. Then left reviews everywhere and reached out to exec team. Not a single response.
Run away!!!
