SFO lounges are “too full” for priority pass
There was nobody visible in the lounges but “too full” for priority pass. It’s a really poor experience.

Bought an overpriced bottle of soda at a self service kiosk store at Austin airport. They defaulted to 18% tip!
Does that mean I get an 18% discount?
And everyone gets $30 off, people who prepaid get $40 off. This experience feels very half assed
Why do they make the process the process so hard? It’s not like it’s a device repair. It’s a $59 device that is clearly defective. But they make you drive to the Apple Store, then it takes an hour to figure it out. When I tried to do it online it wouldn’t let me because I needed a serial number, for a frickin’ woven wallet!

Just got my Atlas Pure Black this morning. I’m coming from a Herman Miller Aeron, and the first thing that stands out is the headrest: it’s excellent. It feels like a real upgrade, and sitting in a focused/upright position is very comfortable. Overall I’m liking the chair so far.
That said, I’m a little underwhelmed by some of the fit-and-finish. My reference point is the Secretlab Magnus Pro XL I bought late last year, which feels rock solid and genuinely premium. The chair doesn’t quite hit that same standard for me. The armrests creak whenever I touch or adjust them, and they feel more like a loosely attached accessory than an integrated part of the chair.
So: strong first impression on comfort and headrest, but I wish the armrest build quality matched the premium feel of the Magnus desk.
Built a kid-friendly Sonos jukebox for our Portal and it’s been a massive hit. It pulls from a parent-approved playlist, so the kids can pick music themselves without wandering into the broader catalog. We also cap the volume so it can’t get too wild. Big buttons, simple UI, and the Portal has turned out to be a surprisingly great screen for this.
The server and sonos integration was all built with OpenClaw and Codex.
Driving westbound on I580 and a truck bed cover came off a car carrier, and hit me. The tire warning came on quickly and now am waiting a tow truck from Tesla.
Not the way I expected my day to go, but thankfully we are all safe.
Going to be towed to Tesla service center in Dublin, and will likely have to get a new tire. Hopefully there is no more damage.
Then we try to figure out if we can identify the truck and get them to pay for the damage.
I took a two day rental from Hertz at SFO last weekend. I returned the car on Sunday morning. When I got there it was really busy, and there were a lot of returns happening. The person told me to leave the keys on the dashboard and I could go, which it typical at SFO. Thankfully as I left I took a photo of the car on the lot, because something seemed off.
The next day I noticed a credit card charge. Then I got a text message saying I still had the car. I called the presidents circle and they said they would get it solved. Today I got a threatening text message from the rental overdue department telling me I had to contact them ... I have spent almost 2 hours trying to get this resolved.
Any suggestions on how I can get it resolved. I am getting really frustrated.
