Looking for someone who is willing to be of service and give a lead for a zoom meeting I secretary

Checked with the mods before posting and they said it was OK.

I secretary a zoom meeting on Tuesday nights at 9pm pacific time. It’s Los Angeles based. Small group. Normally 30-50 people. A mix or newcomers and old timers alike. It’s an As Bill Sees it meeting. The speaker reads an excerpt from ABSI and shares for 15 mins.

My speaker for tomorrow cancelled and I was wondering if anyone would be willing to be of service and give a 15 min lead for the meeting? There is no specific format to follow. You can just speak whatever you’re feeling. Or just go with the standard what it was like, what happened, and what it’s like now.

Meeting opens to group share after the lead.

I appreciate any and all of you. Hope you’re all well.

Thanks

4400lb Boat

Really enjoy the F93 but it’s super heavy. The M handling is amazing though, you can feel the weight but you can also feel how solidly it distributes itself. And it’s long as hell but I like it. I was wanting a longer car this time around so this fit the bill.

I know purists will hate the changes but I’ve never been a stock kinda guy. To each their own I suppose….

Just picked this up a couple weeks ago. 2023 with 7000 miles. BW sound. Carbon fiber. Full leather. Full body Xpel PPF. Ceramic. 6/60k BMW platinum additive. Almost 50% off sticker. Depreciation on these is crazy.

Haven’t done too much yet.

Selling my aftermarket wheels

Some people had expressed interest in the wheels when I posted about getting out of my model s.

Selling a set of BC Forged HCS02 that are custom built for the Model S and a set of Falken FK510.

Wheels are 21 inch with brushed grey faces and polished lip with black hardware. Wheels are $5,900 from BC. These are in amazing shape. No cracks or bends. I just took them off and had my wheel guy inspect them and they are sound, structural integrity 100%. Original boxes included. These are great wheels for being a budget brand. These are specd perfectly and there is no run even all full turn. Offsets are:

21x9.5+22
21x10.5+35

Tires are Falken FK510.
Front: 265/35/21
Rear: 295/30/21
Tires have 4k miles in them and have tons of life left. Tires came to $1,640 from Americas Tire.

Together wheels and tires came to $7,540.

Selling wheels and tires for $4k plus shipping if you’re not local. I’ve also got a carbon fiber spoiler that was $199 I can throw in if you’re interested in that. It’s the same size as the standard one that comes on the plaid only aftermarket CF.

Pictures were taken today and I included some of the wheels on my old model s. I’m in So Cal

Carl’s has hit me with a crazy amount of offers this month.

All these just in May alone. Anyone else get spammed with offers like this?

Does this seem like a good price?

I was having some work done to my car about 40 miles from my house. I drove by this Carls and had to snap a pic because the price seems crazy low compared to my local locations. Same combo is $15.99 at mine. Is this a good price compared to where you are?

Sorry for the grainy pic but I was across the street and had to zoom in.

Probably no way to gift an offer from the app? I’ve got like 20 of them and no need

I’m guessing there’s no way to give this to someone else? I’ll never use them all so someone else in here should benefit if possible

My lease has come to an end and now it’s time to say goodbye to my 2023 S.

This was my first experience with an electric car so I wasn’t sure I’d like it long term so opted to lease rather than buy. I’m glad I did because I’ve been eager to get rid of it for the last year now.

Not that there is anything bad about the car. It was fine to drive and never gave me any issues until about a month ago. It just wasn’t an enjoyable driving experience for me personally. While quick off the line, the driving experience and engagement wasn’t to my liking. The styling also was very boring to me. I had hoped it would grown on me as time passes but it never really did.

The tech is obviously a huge plus. I was beyond satisfied in that area.

It came with free lifetime supercharging which was great and one of the things that initially sold me on it. The supercharging network is amazing and I liked how I was never lacking for a place to charge.

In the last few months I’ve had all kinds of bugs. Windows rolling down randomly. Windshield wipers going off randomly. Weird smell that comes and goes in the interior even though the car is always clean and filter has been changed. Bluetooth connectivity constantly going out. Door locks acting wacky and not being able to open passenger doors from the inside. Nothing major, just irritating.

So now it’s time to say goodbye. I initially thought there was no option to buy the car at the end of the lease but I was at a non Tesla dealer yesterday looking for a car for my wife and the dealer told me that Tesla changed their policy and there is now an option to buy. I looked in the app and it says there is no option to buy but that I can call to inquire. The dealer put it in his system and he said it showed I was able to buy at lease end. I then went to kbb for a quote. The dealers responded and also told me that it’s shows as buyable in their system so I don’t know what’s what with that. I’ve got an email and voice mail out to Tesla lease team but haven’t heard back. The offers were more than my residual so hopefully there is an option to buy.

All I have to do is pop these wheels off and put on the originals which are still brand new and remove these N2itive lowering links and replace them with original and I’m good to drop off. Some people said I need to remove the tint or end up paying a fee so I’ll probably do that as well.

While it wasn’t a bad experience, I think this will be my last EV.

This combination of repairs at just 915 miles has me concerned. Clearly I’m no mechanic but rack and pinion and steering gear replaced plus axle and arm replaced plus one tire addressed. I’m worried they hit something really hard in order to make all that repair necessary. No accidents or damage reported on otherwise clean Carfax. But this just seems like a lot of repair early on. But the car now has 29k miles so maybe it’s not an issue since this happened at 915 miles? This is a 2023 BMW M8 F93 with 29k miles and a single owner.
