I didn’t kiss her on the 3rd date

I’m 23M and she’s 22F.

We went out twice back in December/January. The first date went really well, but the second was more awkward. We were both nervous, and afterward she became distant. I eventually asked if she wasn’t interested, she said yes, and I left it alone.

Over the next several months, she would occasionally like or reply to my stories and eventually added me to her Close Friends. Recently we started talking again, there was some flirting, and we talked about “seeing each other” again after I finish nursing school.

On Monday we went to dinner. I brought her a small potted flower, we caught up, and the conversation felt much more natural than our old dates. We both opened up about our lives and there weren’t really any awkward silences.

At the end she offered to split the check, but I paid. When we got to her car, she slowed down near the passenger side and I wasn’t sure if she was expecting anything. I was nervous and didn’t want to force it, so I just hugged her goodbye instead of kissing her.
Afterward I texted that I enjoyed seeing her and she said she did too. We talked a little after that, but nothing major since.

My problem is that because she rejected me before, I’m hesitant to pursue too hard or misread friendliness as romantic interest. At the same time, she was the one who gradually started interacting with me again and agreed to go out.

If she gave me obvious signs she was interested, I’d absolutely pursue her. I’m just nervous about looking stupid or pushing things again.
So:

Does it sound like she might be interested again?
Should I ask her out again, or let her initiate this time?
Did I mess up by not kissing her?

I didn’t kiss her on the 3rd date…

Long story…. I went out with a girl in December and we went out twice. First time I thought it went great, I took her to see some lights/coffee and I taught her how to dance before the end of the date. Later I planned a 2nd date because she said dancing was new to her. She had ended up canceling on me, and I thought that was it. But we talked a bit and she was telling me how she’s never been in a relationship. She’s 22 for reference. Anyway later she had asked me if I was still wanting to go out with her.

I thought about doing something she would enjoy, so we did rollerskating. I hadn’t gone in like 6+ yrs so I was pretty rusty at it. She was very good at it, and the convos were a lot more awkward up to it. I didn’t know what to do, it felt like she was very nervous and I to be honest I was as well.

She stopped talking to me after the date. I told her we should call and she had told me she gets nervous opening up and getting comfortable with people. I asked if she was not interested and she said yes. So I said my farewell and left it at that.

Present day: she would like or comment on my stories and I’d just like it back. I was then placed on her close friends story and posts. I ignored it. Then later I saw a post of her on her story and commented and we flirted some, I had talked about “seeing” each other again after I finish Nursing school. She agreed happily and we kept talking and really just acted like friends with flirtatious stuff. I took out to dinner on Monday evening and i got her a potted succulent with pink flowers. (I was going for a singular flower, but couldn’t find any and I thought she’d like the plant). We had dinner and we caught up and she opened up to me about her life as did I.

Towards the end of the date she offered to split the check, I said no worries I got it. We walked out to the car and she was walking behind me and slowed down heading towards the passenger side of her car, I was pretty nervous so I hugged her and we went off on our way.

I just don’t know what to do now. I texted her that I enjoyed our time she did too, we talked a little bit and that’s that. I still have one semester left of nursing school, I finish this fall and she plans to move out of her parents place to get her own.

I’d like some input/feedback on what I should do.

I know this for fact, if she gave me obvious signs that she was interested I’d pursue her, I just don’t want to look like an idiot. (I’ve only been in two relationships, my longest lasting just under two years). I’m honestly also just a bit afraid/nervous.

Is she actually interested?

Am I doing too much, or is she actually interested?
I’m 23M and I’m going out with a girl tomorrow who I have some history with.

Back in December:
We went on a first date and I thought it went well.
She canceled the second date, then a few days later changed her mind and said she wanted to give it another chance.

We went roller skating for the second date and it was really awkward. I was bad at skating, she was quiet, and conversation felt forced.

After that, she told me she wasn’t interested romantically, so we stopped dating.

Since then:
We stayed connected on Instagram.
She kept liking/reacting to my stories and posts.
Eventually we started talking again, sending reels, joking around, and I flirted with her a few times.

At one point I told her that once I finish nursing school, I’d like to actually pursue her properly.
She replied: “I wouldn’t mind that :)”

Now:
I recently asked her to hang out.
She said yes and gave me multiple days she was free.
We planned dinner for tomorrow.
I confirmed tonight and she replied right away saying yes.

I’m attaching screenshots for context.
My issue is that I feel like I do most of the work. I reach out more, start conversations more, flirt more, and I’m the one who asked her out and planned everything.
I don’t necessarily think she’s playing games, but I’m getting tired of always being the one creating momentum.

Does this sound like genuine interest but maybe someone who is shy/inexperienced, or does it sound like I’m carrying the whole thing?
And after tomorrow’s date, should I back off a little and see if she actually initiates?

How does a short man build confidence?

I was at the gym yesterday and overheard two guys talking about getting height lengthening surgery just so they could be "taller". I thought about that conversation and it made me feel bad for them. Do you think it's because of these **phones** that people are now so self conscious of themselves to the point that they would rather have surgery to break their perfectly functioning legs to get a woman.

I too am a short man, I am 5'5 and I try my best to not be chronically online. Besides my height I am so much more than just my stature. I play music professionally, I work in healthcare and I am blessed to have the ability to go to college to pursue nursing school and I graduate in less than 4 months. I have friends and family whom I get to have in my life. Perhaps when it's late at night I find things to pick at myself on. I don't think the grass is greener on the other side, only where you water it.

I am 23m and she is 31f

So I’m in nursing school and I’ve met this wonderful girl. She’s 31 and I’m 23. She’s honestly one of the sweetest, kindest people I’ve ever met. She has a kid from a previous marriage. She was engaged at the beginning of nursing school, but she told me it didn’t work out.

There’s just something about this girl. Every time she walks into the room, I catch myself smiling. It doesn’t feel like lust. It’s hard to explain. She’s just… different.
I’ve really been thinking about asking this girl out toward the end of nursing school when we graduate in December. I genuinely have a thing for her, and I’ve been single for about three years now.

The biggest thing holding me back is wondering if she’d even go for a guy like me. I think the age gap is what gets in my head the most. As for her having a kid, that honestly doesn’t bother me. I don’t expect to be anyone’s number one priority. I like my independence too.

When she found out it was my birthday, she bought me a cake and a gift card. It honestly meant a lot to me. When her birthday came around, I did the same for her. During clinicals she’ll randomly bring me food or an energy drink, and she’s always cheerful. I know life can’t be easy between nursing school, having a kid, and everything she’s been through, but she still treats people with so much kindness.

I think that’s what I like most about her. She’s just a genuinely good person, and I could honestly see myself wanting someone like that to share life with.
Would it be a bad idea to tell her how I feel toward the end of nursing school after we graduate? I don’t want to make things awkward while we’re still classmates, but I also don’t want to spend the rest of my life wondering “what if.”

For those of you who bought a home: how old were you when you bought your first house, what was your profession at the time, and how did you make it happen?

What careers actually catch up with home prices and fight inflation?

I just turned 23 years old, Living in TX, and I’m graduating this December to become an RN. My plan is to work in a ICU at a Level 1 trauma hospital. I am hoping to buy a home in December of 2027.

I’m not trying to sound ungrateful, but it feels like home prices and the cost of living are moving faster than a lot of normal career paths. I want to be smart while I’m young and choose a path that can actually lead to buying a home, building wealth, and not constantly feeling behind. Did your career income actually keep up with home prices over time, or did you have to switch careers, work overtime, start a business, invest, move cities, or do something else?

I’d really like to hear what people do for a living, when you bought their home, and what advice you would give someone my age trying to make the right long-term career and financial decisions.

200k+ mile 2018 Honda Accord 2.0T

Just hit 200k+ miles on my Honda Accord EX-L, and honestly, it has been a great car. I paid $16k for it, it’s fully paid off, and I really like not having a car payment.

That said, I’m starting to worry about long-term reliability. It has a few cosmetic and minor issues coming up. I recently replaced the front brakes, my gas cap actuator is buzzing now, and the front grille/plastic trim has noticeable damage from someone backing into me. I could probably replace the grille for around $200–$400 and the gas cap actuator for about $50. I also have a nice size dent on the passenger side from someone dinging me in a parking lot.

For context, I’m a nursing student graduating in a few moths and I’m trying to save for grad school/CRNA school, so I’m trying to make the smartest financial decision here. Ideally, I could sell my Accord for around $7k–$9k because of the high mileage, then put that toward a newer 2018-2022 2.0T Accord around the $20k range.

Part of me thinks I should keep driving it since it’s paid off and the issues are mostly minor. The other part of me worries that at 200k+ miles, I may be getting closer to bigger repairs.

For anyone who has owned a high-mileage Accord, would you keep fixing the small stuff and drive it until it dies, or sell it while it still has value and upgrade to a newer one?

What would you do?

Need some outside perspective.

I met this girl at one of my shows. She came up to me, talked with me, then found me afterward, smiled, handed me a piece of paper with her number on it, and told me to text her. We texted, talked on the phone, and made plans to go out.

The day of the date, she confirmed with, “Sounds perfect!” Then she never showed up and I didn’t hear anything. The next day, I called and left a voicemail saying I hoped she was okay.

About 24 hours later, she texted:

“I’m so sorry! I tried to answer your call and my phone died and couldn’t get to a charger until just now. I’m ok just dealing with some serious family stuff. I feel really bad. Between the army and cutting off certain family members it’s been a lot.”

Would you give her another chance and let her reschedule if she wants to, or would you see this as too many red flags this early on? What would you do?

Should I call her or text her?

Should I text or call her?

I need Reddit to tell me if I’m being reasonable here.

I was playing a show when this girl came up and talked to me. After I finished, she found me again, smiled, handed me a piece of paper with her phone number on it, and told me to text her. She seemed genuinely interested. This wasn’t a dating app situation—she approached me.

We started texting and talked on the phone. We set up a date.

She had canceled once before because “something came up,” but later agreed to another date. Yesterday, we confirmed the time and she replied, “Sounds perfect.”

I showed up and waited. No text, no call, no “I’m running late.” I eventually left. It’s now the next day and I still haven’t heard from her.

Part of me wants to reach out one more time in case something genuinely happened. The other part of me feels like basic communication isn’t too much to ask.

Would you call/text once more, or just take the hint and move on? Am I overreacting, or am I giving too many chances?

Spotted a truck being filmed Saturday — Yellowstone related/ Green 90's ram "yellowstone truck" in Springtown Tx

I wish I had caught it on my dashcam, but on Saturday, June 6, right as it was starting to rain, I saw a truck being followed by another vehicle with a long camera arm/rig attached to it. It looked like they were filming the truck while driving.

Does anyone know what this might have been for? I thought Yellowstone was finished, so I’m curious if it could’ve been for a spinoff, commercial, or something else.

This was around Springtown Texas.

What Mod should I use?

Hey everyone,

I've looked into Cherax and a few other options, but I'm hesitant because I have a main account that I've put a fair amount of time into and don't want to lose.

For those who have experience with this, how risky is using a menu these days? Does playing in invite-only sessions make any meaningful difference, or is the risk pretty much the same regardless of the lobby type?

Thanks in advance for any insight.

Does castle branch validate health insurance?

I recently switched to PRN status at work so I could focus on nursing school during the summer, and as a result I lost my employer-sponsored health insurance.

The issue is that the last insurance information showing up on my records is from a job I had about a year ago. Since then, I've had private health insurance (which was extremely expensive) and then insurance through my employer before going PRN.

I'm trying to figure out what my options are now. Can i just leave it the way it is because private insurance is about $200 a month and to be honest I cant afford that. Should i risk it?
