Anyone else remember the beta and first month of the game being released?

First off the beta had such a great connection with hardly any desync, really really loose matchmaking and things just felt great.

Season 1 was good too, tons of players, good connection, things felt pretty solid.

And then yeah... the rest of the seasons started happening.

Really wish we could go back to how things felt during the beta, because that by now/today's conditions feels like a completely different game.

Storing "older" or previous year hard drives?

I still have my original hard drives of client photos and all dating back to 2014 and while I've never had a client ask personally for older photos (as much of everything is online at a gallery at Smugmug) I am a little cautious at keeping the RAW images and all just out of habit.

I had a former mentor tell me he put them in safety boxes at a bank but I'm thinking that's kind of... overkill possibly? Is it worth hanging on to them or just wiping them for future use with prices of drives increasing each year?

I have mostly Western Digital MyBooks and a few Toshiba desktops.

Endgame, Zombies have infinite replayability... but multiplayer?

I really wish I knew what it was about multiplayer that's just so off-putting.

I do like this game, and have had fun the last couple of months.

I like to level guns, do weekly challenges, get streaks -- but the actual dopamine just fades away REAL quick... and I'm not sure exactly why. Like all the fizz is gone, you get the stuff, play a few matches with it and then... get bored almost instantly.

I might play with friends but the matchmaking itself gets so OP at times that after some matches with friends, you're burned out and log off.

I'm not sure if it's server or matchmaking or both honestly -- but the replayability with multiplayer just isn't there like it should be with a COD game -- meanwhile I can play Exit 115 over and over and have fun.

Mortal Kombat II captured the same energy as 1995's MK...

I've seen some weird reviews, clickbait thumbnails and outrage over the film...

Meanwhile I'm over here living like it's 1995 again and actually pumped that we got a really kick ass video game movie that was just straight up a good time.

Killer visuals, brutal ass combat and a soundtrack that was pretty epic.

MK2026 is a really strong contender for being one of the best MK movies, though 1995 is my favorite nostalgia wise.

Honestly felt like an inner child, video game nerd that was able to pinpoint moves or details, it was a ride.

Did Bono's Fly persona inspire musicians in the early 90s?

Looking at Bono's style during Zoo TV, it seems that a few of the grunge bands started wearing more sunglasses similar to Bono's... 2nd Photo is Scott Weiland of STP, 3rd is Layne Staley -- was he ever a fan of U2 or was it mockery?

I gotta state I like this game and like to team up with friends to play, but I swear more and more everyday it's feeling more like a chore to get on and play some games mostly because of how small the matchmaking has become.

10v10 is just stacks against stacks, clans against clans.

Lobby surfing and you'll maybe find a lobby that's a bit more relaxed and fun, but it's so few and far.

Then it jumps back to being really unenjoyable.

Throw in that people aren't playing the BO7 only maps anymore (Forge, Colossus, Homestead, Exposure) and then it starts to lose the dopamine pretty quickly -- almost feeling a bit bored.

I log in to do challenges, get camos, so there's some substance there but for the most part when you've done those, the game just comes up a bit dry.

I thought that Azure servers were going to be somewhat of an upgrade, but also BO7 had slightly more servers than previous games.

Yet for someone who lives close a server, the data transmission is quicker.

Someone who lives further away from a server, packets take longer -- but are they protected by lag compensation or does that only apply to bad connections?

If you have fiber, or fiber to cable, or even cable internet -- what is your ISP missing to ensure a smooth experience?

Is it really the servers or EOMM manipulating the servers?

So I have my controller set to slide only, and I use bumper jumper tactical for my layout.

Sometimes I'll jump with L1 and press slide to try to be quicker with centering and aiming, but when ends up happening is like a delay / long slide and I usually have to pull back and hide myself.

I'm not sure of the best to describe it but feels like a Jump and then sliiiiiiiide, when I only pressed the buttons but didn't hold down slide.

My controller is at 8000mhz, plugged into USB 3.0 and have my USB hub to an Affinity assigned core. Is there a way to fix this, is anyone else experiencing this?

And others don't?

For example, I live in South Dakota, and connect to Chicago's server, but whenever I'm playing, it feels like I'm often 1-2 seconds behind the enemy and my friends when playing with them.

To me, it feels like a struggle to get a decent killstreak going because by the time I see an enemy, I'm already melted. That or my hit detection is poor that I miss a shot off a potential kill streak.

I have fiber to premise, but gets converted into cable in my apartment complex. I've pretty much got no bufferbloat on my router (Flint 2) but what's been bothering me for months is that the enemy sees me first, where as people I play with get to see them first, shoot, and win.

Is this a server side vs client side type of thing? Do people closer to a server have an advantage? If so, then what about lag compensation for the bad connections? Shouldn't I technically under a bad connection for being FARTHER away from a server?

Lastly, if I show 30ms on my end, that's not actually 30ms is it? I see either people no a 6ms or 75ms melting -- is there something that my ISP isn't doing? My ISP services about 6 states that don't touch the areas where the game servers are -- but that shouldn't affect things right?

Does anyone else have a slight OCD when it comes to messy spaces when a groom or a bride are getting ready? Notable the buttoning of the dress or even a first look with dad/bridesmaids?

I've debated putting something my contract about saying space must be cleared or organized. Granted you could use AI to clone it out or delete it, but I'm really just amazed by how messy some spaces are.

Any tips on how to suggest a cleaner space?

EDIT: Didn't realize this would be such a dividing topic and the amount of negativity coming from the replies too. Here I thought this was more about just making things a bit easier, guess not.

Let me say that I like this game and give it a fair shot, not all lobbies are horrendous but lately it's been getting... well, BAD.

Matchmaking is basically down to a small player pool (as it always was) but long queue times for parties, playing stacks against stacks, or even worse a solo player being put up again a stack -- like 10v10.

Ping & Lag are unfortunately back and affecting half of the player base while the other enjoys no issues -- some questionable hit reg and even higher ping with joining friends.

The cheating problem is getting worser by the day, not just for pubs but Warzone as well and has gone completely off the rails to a point where I don't even think Ricochet was ever doing anything, or is doing anything anymore. People will walls in multiplayer, aimbotters in Warzone.

It seems this is all we talk about now, and never anything positive about what COD/BO7 has done right -- Treyarch either has their hands tied, has to wait for the approval of Activision or simply checked out and stopped caring. Not a good look when MW4 is a few months away and trying to draw up hype for a new title either -- if they let a good game like BO7 get to this, then MW4 will become this as well.
