J Batt didn't fall for Northwestern's deception. He knew that Northwestern fired Coach Fitz because he went 1-8 in Conference 3 of his last 4 seasons and the hazing scandal was just a convenient excuse. Now, MSU risks losing him to UK, BOT should triple or quadruple his salary. He's the best
He had the courage to fire a coach that went 5-7 and 4-8 in his last two seasons and replace him with a coach that went 3-9 and 1-11 in his last two seasons.
If we loss Batt, and MSU football has a losing record over the next few years, it is 100% on the BOT.
Does Clemson have anyone like this that will do his due diligence
Say a party files a motion for partial summary judgement. No memo contra is filed by the other side. Lets assume they are fully aware and have received proper service. Is a Judge still required to read the motion or can they simply grant it?

I know this is an unpopular opinion, but this new NDA Pledge seems dystopian and un-American. I find it troubling that everyone is calling for the ouster of the 3 board members who voted against it. It seems like mob mentality in favor of the 5 board members who voted for it.
Kevin Guskiewicz lesson learned -- Is the We Heart Kevin G Campaign too little too late?

reddit.comGood Day, For those who support the war with Iran, what are you going to do to help the 15,000+ Jewish people that live in Iran ? History has told us that once the Iranian government is fully overthrown, groups like ISIS will quickly form and those groups will come after the Jewish residents.
Is there a plan in place for this scenario that will definitely happen? We have seen time and time again that when a government is overthrown, religious minorities will be persecuted much more by rogue groups. So I am wondering what the plan is to protect the 15,000 + Jewish residents of Iran. I don't think we should just wing it when it comes to people's lives.
Why is stuff like this allowed? Are there any policies that the University can put into place to ensure new job roles aren't created for the President's friends in the future? Is this person also going to go to Clemson with Guskiewicz or does MSU have to keep paying them?
"The concern I have… is we are a public institution," said At-Large Faculty Senator Jack Lipton. "We are not a private company where you can hire your friends."
This was 8 years ago. Were any of the current individuals serving on the board of trustees serving back then?
youtube.com"Column: I understand why Chancellor Kevin Guskiewicz is leaving UNC"
Deja vu. Maybe he would be happier leading something smaller/simpler. I'm not sure Clemson is the right move because he will probably deal with drama there as well. I wish him the best
"Fast forward to February 2023 when he was lambasted by the BOT and directed to “accelerate the development of a School of Civic Life and Leadership.” In keeping with an ongoing bent toward revisionist history, the current board chair recently opined that both the Chancellor and the Provost were authors of a memo that proposed what is now known as SCILL, again asserting that somehow this is a benign effort, something that’s been in progress over years. The questions, debate and, indeed, anger over such a center – which was never described as a School before February – indeed began years ago. But planning by the faculty? No sir.
Who wants to lead in such a situation?
Imagine what it must feel like to prepare for two days per month with your board, the entity with which you are supposed to hold the institution in trust. Yet you might as well be walking into a viper pit, full of people who hiss one thing to your face and another behind closed doors. This one’s jockeying for political office. This one wants to get rid of tenured faculty. That one is a champion of civility, except to those who tell him things he doesn’t want to hear. Yet another is all about free speech for everyone except you. You, chancellor, are not to speak unless we OK it. In fact, don’t make an announcement to reduce tuition for lower income families or lament a U.S. Supreme Court ruling the institution fought for nine years.
One wonders why these people want to be involved in the university at all. Except for the basketball games and the glitzy fundraising events, they seem to hate everything about the place."

If you spend 5 minutes watching this video(that had 64 views before today) you will see we lost someone amazing that was going to take this university to the moon, to heaven, and beyond. We will NEVER recover
youtube.comI really think MSU should hire a Spartan as the next president. There's no evidence that these massive salaries are warranted, there are a lot of smart people to choose. Look at how many university presidents end up in scandal regardless of their pay--These are just regular folks like you and I.
Stop putting people on a pedestal
With so many in Columbus living in their cars now, at what temperatures are people at serious risk? Where are the free cooldown areas with freeze access to A/C for people facing this scenario where they can also bring their pets?
reddit.comPlease stop saying Iran needs a nuclear weapon for the same reason Americans need the second amendment. More countries getting nuclear weapons is extremely dangerous. That doesn't mean I support the war, i'm just saying we need diplomacy and world peace. Thank you
