I’m going to assume the Blip helped bring them closer together again!
The Blip is more than likely never going to be addressed again in the MCU, but it’s one of the only things I can think of that makes sense around them opening that door to be romantic (and sexual) in their relationship again.
In the bar scene they shared at the end of the Defenders miniseries, they do talk about how they plan to move forward after what Jessica put Luke through. Where she betrayed and violated his trust, when he discovers she killed Reva (under Kilgrave’s influence/mind-control) while they were having sex multiple times. But they still kept their distance from each other, while dealing with their own problems going on in their lives.
Given how their daughter; Danielle is old enough to have been born during the 5 years half the universe was snapped. The trauma of all that, and learning how to adapt to that lifestyle likely swayed them into becoming closer again. Realizing that either one of them could’ve also been dusted, which makes them appreciate each other more.
Either way, I’m making this my head-canon theory.
If Amy Madigan can win an Oscar for Weapons, Inde Navarrette should without question win one for Obsession!!!
If any of you have seen both of these movies, I’m curious which one you think was the more superior performance.
It might’ve felt like a different experience because I saw Obsession in theaters, while I waited for Weapons to be available on streaming. But I found myself feeling more anxious and scared of Navarrette’s character compared to Madigan’s. Any time she wasn’t present, you just kept getting nervous of what she was going to do next. But the way she conveyed how multi-layered her character was, was just masterclass acting, and without question Oscar worthy!!
If she isn’t even given a nod, it’ll be one of the biggest snubs next to Toni Collette’s in Hereditary
What character in a cartoon is more sympathetic in your eyes as an adult?
Nani in Lilo & Stitch was a character that I thought was a bit dramatic and harsh at times as a kid, but as a grown up you realize that she’s a person who is hardly keeping herself together while still dealing with her own grief of losing her parents like Lilo.
She had to make a lot of sacrifices in order to keep her and Lilo together (like giving up a potential career as a professional surfer), has so many responsibilities to tackle all at once and is still very young where she’s not even a full adult yet (at around 19-20 years old).
But on top of all that, she decided to let Lilo own her own dog during a time that might not be the best for them. But was being considerate about what her little sister is going through, and felt that giving her a dog would be the best way to fill in that void where she was missing a friend that’s loving and loyal. But when the “dog” causes so much trouble, he just keeps adding onto the amount of stress she’s already going through and sabotaging her where she’s not seen as a guardian who is fit to raise her sister.
As much as people love Stitch, David wasn’t entirely wrong to call him out that his presence ruined Nani and Lilo’s chances of staying together.
What movie villain surprisingly has good manners?
I was rewatching the comedy film; We’re the Millers (2013) with Jason Sudeikis, Jennifer Aniston, Will Poulter and Emma Roberts, and even though I know this isn’t meant to be a movie that filled with a lot of depth and is just one of those “feel-good comedies” that only exists for the purpose of laughing at stupid humour. I found one of the villains; Pablo Chacon to be a very interesting character, as weird as that sounds!
What really intrigued me about him, is how despite him being a Mexican drug kingpin. He actually still seems to have good manners and principles! For example, when he finds out that his drugs were stolen by an imposter along with his fake family. He doesn’t order any of his goons to hunt them down for him, he chooses to go after them himself but still brings one of his top guys with him because he knows what the imposter and his “family” looks like.
Even when he’s about to kill the people who stole from him on two different occasions, he chooses to let them “die together as a family, with honour.” giving them that short time to value their last moments with their loved ones despite how they weren’t a real family.
Also when they escape from him, but he manages to catch up with them again. He’s more angry over the fact that they not only stole from him, burned his face with steam and destroyed his car, that he acknowledges that he wants to kill them. Not that he HAS to. Yet, he still gives David a moment to plead his case and in the end, he still has manners where he decides that he’ll kill him first and doesn’t have to go through the pain of seeing his new “family” die.
So I’m curious if there are other examples of movie villains, where you’ve seen them have similar mannerisms like this!
It’s kinda funny how Matt and Karen each have their own love triangles, which includes them both!
Following the Punisher special presentation, I feel like if it wasn’t clear before. Frank clearly has romantic feelings for Karen, but because he knows he’s not capable of being in a relationship and still hasn’t found a way to make peace with the loss of his family. He doesn’t pursue it, but views her in a meaningful way.
Although the status on whether Elektra is still alive or not is unknown, something tells me that she will be back in fold in the MCU! Which will of course bring back that Matt-Karen-Elektra love triangle.
Despite how Charlie Cox insisted that Karen “is Matt Murdock’s MJ”, I feel like these connections their characters have will really put that to the test!
Heather’s opinion on Fisk following the Born Again S2 finale?
Something that the episode doesn’t fully address, is whether or not Heather still supports Fisk following the collapse of his administration or if his actions where he goes on a rampage and kills protestors plays a part in what causes her to crack and becomes Lady Muse!
A lot of people say it has more to do with what her experience is like over what she’s been through with Matt, and how him turning out to be Daredevil is what pushes her over the edge. But I feel like I need answers on whether she also feels betrayed by Fisk, after how much she defended him and could no longer do so once his true nature unleashed and loses everything.
I might need to rewatch this season and pay more attention to her scenes, so that I’m not missing anything. But regardless her actress does an amazing job at making her insufferable, since that’s how we’re supposed to feel about her.
I like how he just laughs it off, but you can tell that he is getting so annoyed being asked the same question over and over again to the point he can’t escape it.
But it’s also put him in that position, where he’s become too nervous to say anything about his Marvel character. That he’s worried about giving anything away regarding what his character’s future looks like in the show, and if he’ll likely be in any other projects in the MCU franchise!
You can’t help but feel bad for him on how much he’s asked the same question by these interviewers over and over again! Because no matter how much he denies it, people will still not believe him and if he does admit it. He has to deal with Marvel snipers coming for him.
"Interesting to see who you've, aligned yourself with. Ms. Jones."
"Watch yourself, Kingpin!"
Even though they could've given them a scene that was more meaningful, and you could tell this moment was only placed in as a fan service. It was still satisfying to see these two iconic characters share the screen together! Knowing that this might be the only time they do, it meant a lot that they'd find room to include this in the episode!
This now officially makes Jessica the only Defender within the roaster to have interacted with both of the best villains in the Netflix era. With the other being Kilgrave!!!

I know that she reprised her role as Elektra in the Deadpool & Wolverine movie (and she still looks incredibly hot 🔥🔥!), but aside from that I haven’t seen her in a whole lot of projects compared to when she was younger and it felt like she was appearing in almost everything.
Anytime you go to a comic convention and Matthew Lillard is attending, his lines are almost ALWAYS full (even on the days that aren’t usually the busiest) and for good reason!
When I was waiting in line to meet and greet him, he went out of his way to go inside the line giving everyone high fives and apologized for the waiting but also voiced how grateful he was to see all of these fans that wanted to meet him. When it was finally my turn, we talked about how much I loved his performance as Shaggy growing up and how I only recently became a fan of the Scream movies. Also when I talked about my experience about meeting him, and found him to be one of the nicest celebrities I’ve ever met on another subreddit. Unexpectedly, he left a comment from his own Reddit account, thanking me for including him on “this list of goodness.”
I would also put Krysten Ritter second, where I met her twice during the COVID-19 pandemic where this platform allowed fans to have virtual meet and greets with different celebrities since comic conventions weren’t open around that time.
There have been people who have expressed concerns about whether Born Again can last long past Season 3, given how it was recently reported that the viewership for Season 2 is close to 50% less than what it was for the first season!
It has people worried that it could lead to a cancellation if the viewership doesn’t increase, but I doubt it’ll be the last time we see these characters.
Marvel knows that there is a fan following that loves these street level characters that were originally from Netflix, it might not be huge on a level that might match the movies but they are still popular enough where they know people are interested to see more of them.
I’m not completely worried, especially since the people behind Marvel Television seem quite passionate about exploring them further.
This series was very close to topping Breaking Bad as my all time favourite show, because I still remember how much of a cultural phenomenon it was. I’ve never experienced anything like it, when it came to watching a show. It got you thinking that its legacy would continue to live on where people would still hype it up, similar to how franchises like Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Marvel, etc. are treated where it becomes a tradition to rewatch the entire series once in a while.
But its ending destroyed all of that, to the point where you can’t have conversations with people about it without getting angry about what a huge letdown it was.
Even the industry itself has come to acknowledge how bad it was, that you hear other show-runners talk about how much they want to avoid giving their shows a “Game of Thrones” ending!
With the Duffer Brothers behind Stranger Things being an example, even though there have been some arguments where some fans felt it was similar to it.
Also Eric Kripke behind The Boys has admitted to being nervous about how fans will look at the show following the series finale, that not even critics have seen it yet. Fearing that it’ll have the “Game of Thrones” effect where people will lose their love for the series and will have no desire to want to rewatch it again.
Keanu Reeves is certainly up there!
Anytime I come across stories where people talk about their own personal experience meeting him, or the things that he has done for people is very wholesome! Despite the tragic things he has gone through, he never lets it bring out the worst in him and set a great example of how kindness makes a big difference!
