Fog lights on an 06 EX?

Hey there, I see that my 06 EX has the “cut-outs” for where fog lights would go, is it actually able to be installed that way? I’m used to fog lights on my Accord, and they’re really helpful (spent almost a year driving down a very long dark road to get to work), so I’d like to get a set installed on my CRV without having to mount them on the front or the hood.

New old car, who dis? 2006 Honda CRV EX

76,498 original miles! Exterior and interior are beyond clean, as is the CarFax, because… it was a single owner, an old church lady who drove it as her daily and kept it in the garage. Maintenance and upkeep records are fantastic and precise, and I plan to keep them that way. I paid $7500. Super stoked to have another CRV again (first was an 03 with an 05 motor in it in 2018, it was something).

I went to Ripley’s to check out their cryptid exhibition.

Full of AI shit. They made Mothman sexy, which at least matches with Henry’s description of him.

Anyone making any headshells for the Beta Mini yet?

I’ve seen a few builders making lil’ headshells for Orange’s solid state mini-amps, so I was wondering if there was similar for the Beta Mini yet.

Haven’t been since late 2019, good restaurant recommendations?

Hey there, title says it all. I haven’t been since before COVID, so I don’t know what restaurants are still up and worth visiting. I know that Burger Bucket closed down some years back. No specific dietary restrictions or cuisine preferences. Other than that, I’ve got a pretty set itinerary. Thanks.

Roland Space Echo RE-150 footswitch input help

This is a bit of a strange one. I’ve got a Roland Space Echo RE-150, which works pretty fine for what it is (a delicate piece of vintage effects). I haven’t yet had the chance to have my local techs take a look at it, but I figured I could hold off because it works pretty fine… except for the footswitch input.

So, per the manual, I can connect a footswitch (forums say any old footswitch will do, so I’ve got an Orange FS-2, but the manual says Roland FS-1) into said input to turn the echo effect on or off. Thing is is that isn’t how it’s working. I connect the footswitch, no echo effect but the unit shows that it should be giving off an echo. I press the foot switch’s button and the light on the unit turns off, which indicates no echo. When I remove the footswitch entirely, I get an echo no matter what, as is expected.

Is the issue a matter of just using the wrong footswitch, or is it something that I should have my local techs take a look at?

Finally hit the ceiling

Turns out the OR120 stopped working between when I bought it and last night, which sucks, but I needed to get it checked out and cleaned up anyways. Currently running a brutal trio of Thunderverb 200, OD120, and Sunn Model T Reissue.

Beta Mini May preorders

Just checking in, has anyone here received their May preorder yet? I know, it’s not loud/not worth it/whatever, I ordered it before I got my actual Beta Lead.

OD120 came with Mercury Magnetics transformer installed, why?

Long story short, I bought this 90s OD120 from a MusicGoRound store. When I got home and popped off the back, I saw that it has a Mercury Magnetics transformer installed, which I’ve since been informed is not stock. What would be the purpose of doing so, for a better tone? Does it affect wattage output? I’m dropping this off to my techs today, so I want them to be aware of anything before they check it out.

NGD + the rig + the family photo

Yamaha SG1000, tuned to some bizarre tuning from Japan, half of the rig, and the SG that’s been in my hands since 2023. I love double cut guitars.
