Looks, luts and white balance

Howdy

How do you set the white balance when using 1.a look (such as Ross Kodacolor200 or whatever you prefer) and 2. A LUT?

In good, Sunny days I have no problems.

But in low light or indoor environments WB is often wrong. However, LUT and Looks usually come with a "preset" white balance.

Can you share your workflow in indoor/low light/artificial lights conditions?

Thanks

Hybride vs électrique après 3000km

Hello

TNAS PC stuck

I recently changed my macbook and since then the TNAS PC application is stuck with the message "Terrasync is starting or performing data migration. Please wait..."

That means I cannot access any of the sync services.

I've tried re-installing the OSX application, no way. Everythoing is updated to the latest version.

The system is up and working, the sync perfectly works on my mobile phone.

Ideas?

Lelit bianca: flow too fast

My lelit bianca flow is too fast: flow rate with no porta filter is about 270ml/minute, normal rate should be 200 (as far as I know).

I thought the gliceur was broken bit it's ok and once checked it I also changed it.

Pump pressure was about 10bars, so I reduced it to 9bars - flow rate reduced from 300ml to 270 in about 30' seconds.

The water flowing from the machine should look like a "gentle rain" while in my case is concentrated in the center and not on the whole shower. I took off the shower which is clean...

Any ideas?

Edit: I changed the needle, greased it and tighten a bit more the gliceur and the top. The flow is now reduced to 160g in 20'' , about 8g per second. It's still mich higher than expected but now I have no clues...

Pea ouvert mais jamais utilisé : que faire?

Bonjour

Merci

Manual grinder: 1zpresso je-plus upgrade?

Hi

I currently own a 1zpresso je-plus that I bought a few years ago and thatI use for espresso when buying specialty coffee. Works nicely but I was just wondering if better manual grinders are available on the market.

It's more of a curiosity rather than a real need to change my grinder..

Ouverture PEA : choix ETFs et courtier

Bonjour,

S9+ttartisan 40mm

Really impressed by this lens. Very cheap, solid feel, nice results. I also particularly appreciate the manual aperture ring

Lumix S9 - sensor scratch, should I keep it?

Got a great deal on Amazon on a refurbished camera. External conditions are great (new ..) but there's a "hair" once shooting in the blue sky.

I didn't notice anything before doing this test (I took about 200 photos) but the defect is definitely there and...looks more a really tiny scratch on the sensor, not just a grain of dust.

Great deal means 40% less than new.

Aesthetic is perfect.

No issue of any sort beside what I mentioned above.

Defect is very minor, only noticed when shooting blue sky (looking for a possible defect of the sensor..)

Return window ends in 3 days.

Is there any chance that the scratch will worsen with time? This is my main question...if the issue is there (and will be there..) only when shooting a blue sky, I can live with it (but I'm maybe wrong)

I know I can get rid of the mark in post, but I'd prefer avoiding it.

Camera is a Lumix S9 with the 18/40 lens in kit. Basically I paid less than the camera alone.

Troubles using LUTs

Hi

LUT are great in many ways but at the end of the day, I struggle quite a lot with them.

They work very well in ideal conditions but...what is the ideal condition for each lut? I find myself very often not using LUTs as I don't want to ruin my footage.

So..how do you use LUT and how can you be sure the final result Will be ok?

I particularly struggle in indoor environments..

(Lumix S9) Not sharp as I would like: tips?

I often have the feeling my photos are not as sharp as I would like.

An example here enclosed (Lumix S9, 1/200, f4.3)

Any tips?

From Lumix to Nikon..?

I have tried for a while Lumix camera (S5 and S9) and I quite like them. However, I'm truly fascinated by the Nikon z f ...that unfortunately I cannot try (beside having it in my hands).

Is there anyone that made the shift from Lumix to Nikon ? Why?

I essentially take photos so the video part of Lumix doesn't motivate me. And everyone seems to say "Nikon is better for photos"...

Thanks for your comments

New gps: suggestions?

Howdy

I'm on the market for a new gps, last one was a Garmin explorer 2 that I didn't like essentially because of the screen (looked like a Sony Ericsson t68..)

My use is recreational, 50/70km on Sundays, lots of climbing in my region. I need turn by turn navigation .I also have a Garmin Fenix.

What brand/model?

Garmin is the obvious answer but they are over expensive and I also use the Fenix during my rides.

Wahoo? Bryton? Or a cheap Chinese makes the deal ? Chinese models seem really good on paper but should be tested...

Thanks for helping

Oh yes, the budget: max 200€

S9: lut for indoor family events ?

I've recently acquired a Lumix S9 and I'm having a lot of fun with LUTs, especially the Ross&his jpegs settings.

However, I have the feeling that most of them are optimized for sunlight and in good light condition.

What do you suggest using for indoor photos (low natural or artificial lights)?

Thanks for sharing
