let's say

amon took away a water/fire/earthbender's bending

they isolated themselves/ran away and korra couldn't find and restore their bending

then a few months later...

BOOM! now they're an Airbender

how do you think this would affect their life and former identities? because let's assume most of the story goes the same, you used to a waterbender, for example, and you were very connected to that culture, then you get your bending taken away, few months later you discover you're an airbender now, how do you think this'll affect the story? "former earthbender now turned airbender" could be interesting i think
