[22/M] "I'm looking at you through the glass....don't know how much time had passed".....

Hello everyone! Thank you for taking the time to read my post. I've always liked the idea of having a pen pal, especially nowadays when most of our conversations happen instantly through messages and social media. There's something really nice about actually taking the time to write to someone, waiting for their reply, and having a little piece of another person's life arrive in the mail.

I'm 22, I currently live in Eastern Europe for university. I'll hopefully graduate next year, so I'm currently trying to survive the final stretch of university while pretending I have everything figured out. 😂

I'm a pretty introverted person and an INFJ, if that means anything to you. I'm usually quiet when I first meet someone, but once I'm comfortable I can talk for hours. I really enjoy getting to know people slowly and learning about all the little things that make them who they are.

As for my interests, I'm a bit of a nerd. I love video games, especially things like God of War, Baldur's Gate 3, The Witcher 3, Elden Ring, Sea of Thieves, Apex and Rainbow Six. I'm also really into sci-fi and fantasy, and I love movies and TV shows that completely pull you into another world.

I also paint and build model planes, and I play guitar occasionally when I want to relax. I'm very much the kind of person who can spend an unreasonable amount of time watching a 9-hour video about some completely useless topic and somehow find it fascinating. 😭😂

Music is probably one of the biggest things in my life. It's gotten me through quite a lot over the years, and there's almost always something playing somewhere in the background. My current obsession is Sleep Token, especially Take Me Back to Eden, but my taste is pretty varied and I'm always looking for new things to listen to.

So please, if we become pen pals, send me your favourite songs, artists, albums, playlists anything. I genuinely think music is one of the easiest ways to get a little glimpse into someone's personality.

I'm also a huge fan of random conversations. Tell me about your day, your favourite childhood memory, something you're currently obsessed with, a weird hobby you have, something you're learning, a completely useless fact you know, or some random thought that crossed your mind at 2 AM.

I actually have a ridiculous amount of useless knowledge myself, and unfortunately my sister has been forced to listen to quite a lot of it. 😭

One of the things I'd really love about having pen pals is getting to learn about life somewhere completely different from my own. What does an ordinary day look like where you live? What food do you eat? What music is popular there? What places do you love? What traditions or little cultural things would someone from another country find interesting?

I'm not necessarily looking for someone who has exactly the same interests as me either. I'd actually love to meet people who can introduce me to things I've never experienced before. Tell me about your hobbies even if I know absolutely nothing about them I genuinely enjoy listening to people talk about things they're passionate about.

I'd ideally like this to become a long-term friendship rather than exchanging a couple of messages and disappearing. I completely understand that life gets busy and that replies won't always be immediate. I'm not expecting someone to write every day or respond instantly. I'd just like to know that there's someone on the other side who actually enjoys continuing the conversation.

I'd also love to eventually exchange physical letters, postcards, photographs, little drawings, random things from our respective countries, or whatever else we feel like sending. There's something really special about having a little collection of someone's life sitting on your shelf.

I'm open to people from pretty much anywhere and don't really have any specific requirements. I'd much rather hear from someone who is genuinely curious, kind, open-minded and interested in building a friendship.

If you're interested, feel free to DM me! Tell me a little about yourself, where you're from, what you're interested in, what kind of music you listen to, or even just something completely random.

Please don't worry about writing the perfect introduction. I'm an introvert too, so I know how awkward the first message can be. 😂

Maybe we'll exchange a few letters.

Maybe we'll become long-term friends.

Maybe I'll end up learning something completely unexpected about a part of the world I've never seen.

I'll see you on the other side of the glass!! : )

[M4F] [22] [Belarus/Europe/anywhere] I really want someone to give all I have.....

Thank you for reading my post in the first place. Honestly, I have absolutely no idea how to start one of these...so let me just write what I have in my head and hope it won't look like a unicorn who barfed all over😂

I'm 22, and I'm an introvert. A pretty serious one, actually. I'm not the person who's going to walk into a room full of strangers and immediately start talking to everyone. I'm much more comfortable getting to know someone slowly, having those random conversations that somehow last for hours, and eventually reaching the point where we can sit together in comfortable silence without it feeling awkward.

I'm studying at a university at the moment(which has lasted for about 700 years😭 GET ME OUT!!!) and don't worry, I promise I have a personality outside of studying. 😭

When I'm not studying, I'm probably gaming.

And I mean gaming gaming.

I love games like God of War, Baldur's Gate 3, The Witcher 3, Elden Ring, Sea of Thieves, Apex, Overwatch and Rainbow Six. I'm very much the kind of person who can spend hours getting emotionally attached to fictional characters, exploring every corner of a game, or getting way too invested in some completely unnecessary side quest.

I'm also into fantasy, sci-fi, survival/adventure stuff, movies and TV shows. I've watched things like Supernatural and Game of Thrones, and I genuinely enjoy getting completely absorbed into fictional worlds. I used to read a lot more than I do now, but medical school has unfortunately stolen a large portion of my free time. 😭

Music is another thing I care about. My current obsession is Sleep Token, particularly Take Me Back to Eden, although my music taste isn't limited to that. I'm always happy to discover something new if someone wants to throw songs at me, and I also love Cosmic by avenged sevenfold it'll always have a place in my heart.

Personality wise, I'm quiet at first. Probably very quiet. I'm shy around new people, and I tend to overthink things way more than I should. But once I'm comfortable with someone, I become considerably less quiet. 😂 I like having meaningful conversations, random late night discussions, stupid inside jokes, sending each other things that reminded us of one another, and eventually knowing each other's little habits. I'm a big empath....I love helping people and comforting them and being generally kind.

I have an absolutely unnecessary collection of random facts that nobody needs to know, especially not at 3 AM. Unfortunately, my sister is currently the unwilling victim of this knowledge dump, and every time I look at her face while I'm explaining some completely useless fact, I feel genuinely sorry for her. 😭

And I'd say that I'm a very ambitious person, I dream a lot about my future and how it would pan out for me and I've worked very hard to be where I am

I think what I'm looking for most it's : kindness and compassion

I'm not really interested in forcing something just because two people happen to find each other attractive. I'd rather actually get to know someone. Become friends. Talk about stupid things. Talk about serious things. Find out what makes each other laugh. Slowly become part of each other's lives and our routine and have an arsenal of inside jokes that we will talk about.

I'm also very much a "let's do things together" person. Gaming together, watching a show, exploring somewhere new, going on random little adventures, trying something neither of us has done before, or even just staying home doing absolutely nothing together sounds like a pretty good relationship to me.

And despite being introverted, I don't want a relationship where we simply exist separately. I want someone who actually wants to share their life with me. Someone I can be excited to tell things to. Someone who will randomly message me because they saw something that reminded them of me. Someone who can tolerate my terrible jokes and the occasional overthinking. 😭

I'm also hoping to meet someone who is comfortable being themselves. I don't expect perfection, and I definitely don't have it myself. I'd rather have someone genuine, kind, emotionally mature and willing to communicate than someone who looks perfect on paper.

I'm not particularly interested in rushing anything either. I'd rather have something that develops naturally than immediately jump into "we're dating" after three conversations. If we click, we'll know. If we don't, that's okay too.

As for what I'm looking for specifically... ideally, I'd like to meet someone kind, preferably someone who understands the whole "I like people, I just need time to recharge after being around them" thing. 😂 Someone who enjoys nerdy interests would obviously be a massive bonus.

I'm an INFJ, if that means anything to you.

I don't know exactly what will come from posting this. Maybe I'll meet someone interesting. Maybe I'll make a new friend. Maybe this post will disappear into the Reddit void and I'll never hear from anyone. 😂

But I figured I'd give it a shot.

So if you've made it this far, thank you. Seriously.

If anything I've written resonates with you, feel free to message me. Tell me about yourself give me an awesome intro....I'll probably judge you (lovingly of course 😂 yh that's my attempt at a pick up line(I'm so bad lmao))

Well..... I look forward to meeting you!

Ps: you can ask absolutely anything about me if I haven't mentioned anything in this post....and I don't judge btw..be yourself....be crazy...be awesome

An ode to melancholy...I feel like I've wasted my chance for happiness

I think I’ve finally stopped looking for someone, and somehow that makes me sad

I don't really know how to word this without sounding overly dramatic, but I think I'm just frustrated.

I've spent a long time hoping I'd eventually meet someone. Someone I could genuinely fall in love with, someone I could be completely comfortable with, someone I could have those stupid little moments with that you only ever see in movies or hear other people talk about.

And it just… hasn't happened.

I don't think I'm particularly good at the whole casual dating thing. I don't really know how to meet someone, flirt with someone, or just casually date someone without my brain immediately going, “Okay, but do we actually connect as people?”

I want something meaningful. I want to actually know someone. I want to know what they're thinking when they suddenly go quiet, what makes them laugh uncontrollably, what song they listen to when they're having a terrible day, what random little things they're passionate about, what their childhood was like, what they dream about when nobody is watching.

And maybe that's part of the problem.

I don't want just anyone.

But at the same time, I'm starting to wonder if I've made my expectations so emotionally specific that nobody could possibly meet them.

The frustrating part is that I never really had the stereotypical teenage experience of falling in love.

No high school sweetheart.

No first love.

No staying up until 2 AM texting someone because neither of us wanted to say goodnight.

No having a crush that actually turned into something.

No embarrassing teenage relationship that I could look back on years later and laugh about.

I know none of that is mandatory. I know people experience love at completely different ages. I know that having a high school relationship doesn't automatically mean someone had a better or happier adolescence.

But sometimes I still feel like I missed something.

I wish I'd gotten to experience that kind of innocent, uncomplicated love before everything became so complicated.

I wish I had someone from that period of my life who I could look back on and think, “Wow, we were idiots, but we really loved each other.”

Instead, I feel like I've spent most of my life watching other people experience things I've wanted for myself.

And I'm happy for them. Really.

But there's a weird kind of loneliness that comes from constantly being genuinely happy for other people's relationships while secretly wondering when you're going to get your turn.

I've tried putting myself out there. I've tried talking to people. I've tried dating apps and online spaces and meeting people through different interests.

And every time, it somehow goes nowhere.

Either there's no connection, or the conversation dies, or one person loses interest, or circumstances make it impossible, or I realize that we're fundamentally incompatible.

Eventually you start wondering whether the problem is you.

Maybe I'm too quiet. Maybe I'm too awkward. Maybe I overthink everything. Maybe I take too long to open up. Maybe I want too much emotional depth.

Maybe I'm simply not the kind of person people fall in love with easily.

And logically, I know that's probably not true.

But knowing something logically doesn't necessarily stop you from feeling it.

At some point, I just got tired.

So I've stopped looking.

Not because I don't want love anymore.

I absolutely do.

That's probably the most frustrating part.

I still want it. I still want to fall completely in love with someone. I still want to have a person who feels like my person. I still want the late-night conversations, the stupid inside jokes, the random “this reminded me of you” messages, the comfortable silence, the little adventures, the feeling of having someone you can tell absolutely anything to.

I just don't have the energy to keep searching for it anymore.

And weirdly, now that I've stopped looking, I regret it.

I regret that I never got to experience being in love when I was younger.

I regret not having someone to grow alongside.

I regret that I don't have those memories.

And I know I shouldn't compare my timeline to anyone else's, but sometimes it's difficult not to.

There are people younger than me who have already experienced relationships, heartbreak, first love, first kisses, first dates, all of it.

And I'm sitting here thinking, “Cool. So when exactly is my character development supposed to start?”

Maybe this is just an INFJ thing.

Maybe we spend so much time imagining what a deep connection could feel like that reality has a hard time competing with the version we've created in our heads.

Or maybe I'm just lonely.

I don't know.

I don't even necessarily want advice. I think I just wanted to put this somewhere where maybe someone else would understand it.

If you're an INFJ who also spent most of your life feeling like you were waiting for something that never came, I'd genuinely like to know how you dealt with it.

Did you eventually stop caring?

Did you meet someone completely unexpectedly?

Did you learn to be happy without looking for that person?

Or are you still sitting here wondering when your turn is going to come?

Because honestly…

I'm tired of looking.

But I'm also tired of pretending I don't wish I had found someone already.

22 [M4F] #Anywhere Dumb joke connoisseur, Nerdiest nerd and well maybe kinda dumb when it comes to life👽....

Well if you made it here....thank you so much for reading this 😭

Alright I really don't know how to say what I have in my head so Ill just blurt it out haha.

I'm 22, and apparently I've reached the age where I'm supposed to know what I'm doing with my life. Unfortunately, nobody gave me the instruction manual. 💀

I'm a massive nerd. Like… massive. I'm into games, movies, sci-fi, fantasy, random bits of useless knowledge, and probably anything that gives me an excuse to say “wait, did you know...” and proceed to talk for 10 minutes. Well my sister is the one who's listening to it currently and I feel so bad for her when I see her face🤣😭.

Gaming is probably my biggest hobby. I love RPGs, story heavy games (although I have a lot of these in my library that's unfinished 💀) , co-op games, and anything that lets me completely disappear into another world for a few hours, yh but adulthood is trying to nerf me💀. I'm also a huge fan of Star Wars, LOTR, Supernatural, and pretty much anything involving space, monsters, magic, questionable life decisions, or people dramatically staring into the distance.

I'd say that I'm a very ambitious person, I've achieved my dreams a lot and I'm almost done with my university too(which lasted for about 700 freaking years😭), and I'd like to say that I dream a lot about the future and how it would pan out

Music is another big one. My playlist is basically an emotional rollercoaster with absolutely no warning. One minute I'm listening to something peaceful, the next I'm questioning every decision I've ever made because a song hit a little too hard. 😭 I would love to hear about your favourite songs and artists!!

Personality wise, I'm pretty introverted and initially quite shy. Once I'm comfortable with someone though… good luck. I can go from barely saying anything to sending you a completely unnecessary 17 message explanation about some random thing at 2 AM. And I'm an absolutely loyal person I got no funny business 💀

I also really appreciate people who can be silly. Dumb jokes, terrible puns, sending each other memes for absolutely no reason, random conversations that somehow turn into talking about the meaning of life at 3 AM that's my kind of interaction.

As for what I'm looking for, I'm not really interested in collecting a giant list of people to talk to. I'd rather meet one person I genuinely click with and see where things go naturally. And I'd fall inevitably to a person who's kind and empathetic 🥹I value that a lot .

Someone I can talk to consistently. Someone who's curious about things. Someone who can laugh at stupid things with me but can also have those unexpectedly deep conversations when the mood hits.

And yes, I'm looking for something romantic eventually, but I'm not trying to speedrun a relationship. I'd rather actually get to know someone first, become friends, develop an absolutely ridiculous amount of inside jokes, and then be lovey doveys 🤣😭

If you've read this entire thing, congratulations. You now know more about me than several people I've known for years. 😭

So, if you're also a nerd or not you don't have to be, enjoy terrible humour, or just feel like talking to a random guy on the internet who probably has no idea what he's doing either…

Come say hi. 👽

Tell me something random about yourself, your favourite game/movie/song, or even just give me your worst joke.

I'll probably judge you.

Lovingly, of course. :)

Ps: if you'd like to know more about me that I've not mentioned here just ask haha I don't judge at all!!!

Looking for a long term friend (we can lore dump each other at 3am) 22

Hey! If you somehow ended up here, thanks for clicking on my post. Hopefully you don't regret it by the end. 😭

I don't really know how to start these, so I'll just be honest.

I'm honestly just looking for someone who enjoys talking consistently. Someone who likes getting to know people.

I'll be honest, I don't really miss having hundreds of people to talk to. I just miss having one person I can message every day. Someone to send random memes to, share weird shower thoughts with at 2 a.m., rant about life, get excited over the smallest things, or just sit in a voice call while we're both doing our own thing.

So... a little about me.

I'm 22, currently in university (which feels like it's lasted about 700 years) and I think most of my interests fall into the "nerdy" category.

I'm a huge fan of Star Wars, Pokémon, dinosaurs(yes they are still awesome!), science, history, mythology, philosophy, poetry, and learning about different cultures and languages.(Basically anything that makes me go OMG WoW) I game occasionally when I have time, although adulthood keeps trying to nerf that hobby.

Music wise, I genuinely think someone's playlist says a lot about them. My favourites constantly fight for first place between "Cosmic" by Avenged Sevenfold and The kill by 30 seconds to mars.

Now your turn. What's that song for you? The one that somehow manages to hit differently every single time?

Movie and TV recommendations are always welcome too. If you're into sci-fi or fantasy, we'll probably get along ridiculously well.

Now, it's only fair I warn you about my sense of humour. I make terrible jokes, laugh at my own terrible jokes, and occasionally make jokes that even I don't understand afterwards.

My cooking skills are... let's just say they're a threat to public safety, so if you're looking for someone to exchange recipes with, you've been warned.

I'm not expecting us to become best friends overnight. Good friendships take time, and I'm perfectly okay with that. I'm just hoping to find someone who's willing to put in the effort to actually know each other instead of exchanging ten messages before vanishing into the Reddit void forever.

You don't have to like all the same things I do. Sometimes it's more fun when you don't. Teach me about your hobbies, your favourite games, your favourite books, your weirdest interests, or the most random fact living rent free in your head.

If any of this sounds like your kind of friendship, send me a message. Tell me about your favourite fictional universe, your favourite song, the weirdest rabbit hole you've ever gone down, or just say hi.

Looking forward to meeting some genuinely interesting people.

PS: Please don't judge my terrible jokes.

PPS: I live in the European region if that matters.

May the force be with you!! 🫡
