Is there a Don't Date NYC group or somewhere to report bad men? TW: SA

My friend was sexually assaulted by someone she met on hinge the other day. She repeatedly set physical boundaries but he wasn't taking no for an answer and pushed past her boundaries despite her repeatedly asking him to slow down/stop. I also happened to have matched with him prior to this so I'll be reporting him to Hinge (she already unmatched him but is going to reach out to support), but I'm wondering if there are communities where I can share his info so other women know to steer clear. These have existed in other cities I've lived in but I can't find anything like it for NYC from an initial search.

I'm trying to encourage her to do a rape kit and file a police report but she's resistant to taking action due to the fact that the system is historically broken and this man knows where she lives. I have this asshole's full name, address and phone number so...if anyone has any ideas of ways to get some retribution lmk

Fuck men stay safe ily

Dangerous man followed me home last night

TLDR; this man was aggressive towards me on the train and then followed me home. Be wary if you see him. And HUGE shoutout to the guy named River who saved me.

Got on a packed A train around 10:30pm last night. There was plenty of room next to this guy but he was super spread out. I had a long way to go so I squeezed into the spot next to him. He groaned and put his phone away and I noticed he had been watching porn on the train. This should’ve been the moment I walked away but I was feeling pissed off and stubborn, lesson learned…After several stops I shifted my legs and accidentally brushed against his. He was like “bump me one more fucking time” and I just calmly said I’m sorry I don’t have much room. He started yelling about how I need to use my words and how he was going to beat the shit out of me if I touched him again. I wanted to talk back SO badly but I just sat there in silence. Everyone on the train watched this happen and didnt do shit. I moved to a different seat and he went back to watching porn and I thought it was over.

We both got off at Nostrand and he exited behind me. After a block I slipped into a restaurant to make sure he wasn’t following me. He passed by and crossed the street going the opposite way of my place so I thought it was fine and I left the shop. He immediately starts yelling at me from across the intersection “oh you’re scared little bitch? You’re fucking scared??” And other shit I didn’t make out bc I just immediately started walking as fast as I could. I was in a crowd for a while and didn’t see him following, but once I turned onto my street I was alone and wanted to make sure he wasnt there so I dipped around a corner for a sec and when I looked back he was in fact following me. At the same time another guy was crossing the intersection by me and I asked if I could walk with him for a sec to get away from this guy, which could’ve turned out badly if he had been another creep but he was actually an angel. We took a big lap around the block while the asshole continued to follow from a distance until he was far enough away that I could get to my place without him seeing where I live.

Truly cannot thank the man who saved me (River) enough. I broke down crying the moment I realized I was safe with him and he was so kind to me, just chatting to get my mind off of things and affirming how fucked men are. He walked me all the way home and told me about a hardware store near my place that sells self defense stuff. I really worry about what would’ve happened if I hadn’t run into him, and hope he sees this and knows what an impact he had. It really restored my faith in humanity

Please be wary of this creep and stay safe! I live off of Kingston throop and he followed me from nostrand to Macdonough/tompkins

Dangerous man just followed me home

I guess it’s my turn to write one of these…..got on a packed A train and there was plenty of room next to this guy but he was super spread out. I had a long way to go so I squeezed into the spot next to him. He groaned and put his phone away and I noticed he had been watching porn on the train. Awesome and not pathetic at all. After several stops I shifted my legs and accidentally brushed against his. He was like “bump me one more fucking time” and I just calmly said I’m sorry I don’t have much room. He started yelling about how I need to use my words and how he was going to beat the shit out of me if I touched him again. I wanted to talk back SO badly but I just sat there in silence. At the same time another guy was crossing the intersection by me and I asked if I could walk with him for a sec to get away from this guy, which could’ve turned out badly if he had been another creep but he was actually an angel thank god. We took a big lap around the block while the asshole continued to follow from a distance until he was far enough away that I could get to my place without him seeing where I live. Really would do anything to break that guys nose but I’m going to advise all women to avoid him if you see him. Please stay safe!

I'm looking for a place with a backyard in bed stuy but I keep hearing how dangerous garden level apartments are. Wondering what the actual risk level is and how often they're broken into?

Girl desk lunch of brown rice, jammy eggs, kimchi and avocado 😗

I’ve identified as bisexual since I was a teenager, but the large majority of my dating and sexual experiences have been with men. I absolutely have some bullshit internalized homophobia/patriarchial ideation that has kept me in this cycle—dating men because it was my “comfort zone” when there was actually nothing comfortable about it. At best men have disappointed and frustrated me. At worst they have seriously traumatized and harmed me.

After a string of bad experiences with men I decided to finally cut myself off and only date women. I immediately met the person I’m seeing now. It is so delightful. So natural. In a way I have never experienced before. I’m so used to willing the connection into existence—constantly reiterating the good parts and pushing away my uncertainty or discomfort, hoping that I’ve finally found someone who can love me properly. They never can. But the woman I’m dating now can, and is doing so with so much care. She is truly such a wonderful person. I feel so seen and listened to. I love nothing more than being in nature with her, talking to her. We’re developing a close friendship while simultaneously falling in love, and it feels amazing to be with someone who I understand and feel so understood by, so safe with. Also the sex is amazing, despite this homophobic narrative I’ve had forever that I don’t enjoy sex with women as much as men, or that without dick it isn’t real sex.

I’m still wrestling these old homophobic ideas that have been so engrained in me. It’s equally scary and enthralling to give up the need for male attention, and it’s already shaping how I present myself. Lately I’ve really been opting for comfort—no makeup, jeans, tank top, sneakers, keys on my belt loop. It feels amazing to be so adored without feeling the need to edit or enhance myself to someone’s liking. It is totally alien to me. I’m hopeful that as time goes on I’ll be able to uproot the internalized homophobia and feel completely comfortable receiving this amazing love that I’ve wanted for so long.

TLDR if you’re bisexual or questioning you should absolutely give non-men a try

There were 5 individual people at this party last night, myself included, who got flat tires yesterday. Wondering if there was some atmospheric phenomenon, or the full moon ?? playing games with our tires. Lmk
