This is a story of a girl.

There was a girl who dreams about to become a TV reporter.

In her childhood She was grown by watching TV news and Anchoring shows. So she started developing interest on becoming a TV reporter. She used have too much of stage fear. She realised that in order to become TV reporter she has to overcome that fear. So she started doing anchoring voluntarily in school farewells. People used to tease her anchoring based on her speaking skills. She doesn't care at that time and kept focusing on speaking skills and improved over the time.

In college also, she used to actively participate in seminars, presentations voluntarily. She learned lately that body language is also important. So, she started improving her body language and she faced many troubles like people used to tease her body language and made fun of her. She had no friends. She was not having any support from her parents as her parents thought she would become a doctor. She went into depression for some days.

But somehow, she never lost confidence in herself. Apart from college, she participated in public gatherings and seminars to test and improve her skills. Many people mocked her speaking style, body language, and tried to discourage her. Despite receiving no support from friends, family, or organizers, she continued attending events voluntarily because she believed every stage experience made her stronger.

Later on, she stopped attending public gathering and started looking for actual TV reporter jobs. Although she was pretty confident about her skills she still faced many rejections. After applying continuously for more than 100 jobs, she again got another opportunity to showcase her skills. The interview got scheduled in next 4 days. So she started focusing her skills such as grammar, speaking, body language.

The Interview day:

9 members were there for the interview only for 1 position.

She attended the 1st round of interview where they given a random national NEWS to test her. She Excelled in the first round. She was confident and waiting outside for the result. After all the 9 members completed. They announced the result. They selected 5 members for the final round.

They called for the second round, this time the round got conducted in front of around 100 people. Like basically they have to present their skills in front of those 100 people. Slowly one by one are attending they called 2 members. She was observing and realised they are also pretty good in skills. Now, 3th member she got called. She went to give the news in-front of all the people. She started with her intro, then continued with the given News. Soon, all the 6 members final round got completed.

All the 5 members are waiting outside for the result. After sometime they announced the result someone got selected and she was rejected. She got Miserable. While she was going back to her room one of the panelist member came to her and said they rejected you based on your looks, I really impressed with your skills and tried my best to select you. But, they didn't selected you because of your looks. Unfortunately, she never focused on her presence but only kept focused on her skills. She got to know for years, she fought against fear, criticism, loneliness, and rejection.

But that day, she realized there was one battle she never prepared for — being judged for the way she looked.

Her confidence shattered, not because she lacked talent, but because the world refused to see beyond her skin tone.

This is a story of daughter

In a world there were only two survivors remain, a father and his daughter.

The world is destroyed: the air polluted, dead zones spread everywhere and survival nearly impossible.

Let's call the father and daughter as Thorn and Dove.

Dove is only five years old when the disaster happens. The father used to take care of her after the disaster.

After the world is collapses, Thorn desperately searches for a safe place to raise his daughter. The world outside was unlivable, filled with polluted air and ruins. At last, Thorn discovered an underground Bunker to raise her.

The bunker is hidden, and equipped with enough supplies to survive for years.

The father brought Dove into the bunker and safely guarded there. He gently said we are the last survivors in the world so this the best place to live. The bunker has everything: beds, books, food, clothes and games.

Dove is a child didn't understand the weight of his words, she only understood only one thing clearly: how her father was protecting her.

Sometimes Thorn used to go out from the bunker normally. Dove asked her father that she also wants to go outside with him. Father said he has only one protective equipment and only going scavenging.

Dove agrees and stays inside the bunker. As the years pass, Dove spends most of her time reading books. Thorn spends nearly every moment with her. He plays games with her, read to her, cooks with her, teaches her, and protects her from everything outside.

One day, Dove asked about her mother. Thorn's eyes filled with tears as he replied, "Your mother... died during the disaster".

Dove hugged him tightly and whispered, "I miss her too, Dad". She later asked for a pic of her mother. Thorn showed her the only photo which they had taken after she was born.

Thorn and his daughter survived in the bunker for 15 years.

Flashback:

Let's call Dove's mother as Evelyn.

15 years ago.

Evelyn and Thorn had a troubled marriage. Evelyn asked for a divorce as Thorn was financially unstable, neglectful. and paranoid.

They both had a huge fight. Thorn refused to accept the divorce. Terrified of losing his daughter, he forcefully took Dove and disappeared to another city.

There, he hid her and raised in a bunker so that her mother would never found her.

Present:

Father dies due to health issues.

Dove was left alone.

One day, she found his protective suit and stepped outside for the first time in her life.

She expected ash.

She expected corpses.

Instead, children were laughing. Cars moving through the streets. People walked past her without fear. The world had never ended.

Confused, she asked people, "The world is ended right? How are you alive?"

They looked strangely and laughed walked away.

She realized Thorn made her believe that the world was ended and about the last survivors was a complete lie.

There was no apocalypse.

There were no "last survivors."

Dove realized her father's betrayal.

Since her childhood, Dove believed and agreed with her father to everything and raised in that bunker which she don't deserve.

She then noticed something shocking: her childhood photos were everywhere in the city. She was confused why her photos were everywhere. She asked the people regarding the photo, people told her, "This girl went missing years ago. Her mother has been searching for her."

Dove broke down to tears and realized that her mother was alive.

They both were in the same city. Evelyn (mother) is searching for Dove from 15 years.

Evelyn doesn't know how her daughter looks like. She only has the photo when she was 5 years old.

Dove didn't understood where to begin and whom to ask. She had no friends, no identity outside the bunker. Then she remembers the family photo. She immediately goes to the bunker and searches for the photo.

She began spreading messages across the city with her mother's picture.

She requests everyone, "If this woman comes searching for her daughter, please give her this address."

Two months pass.

One day, Evelyn walks into a small coffee shop and asks for her daughter. The workers tell her they know nothing and politely ask her to leave.

As Evelyn walks away, one of the waiters suddenly calls her back and says I know her and gives her the address Dove gave.

Immediately, Evelyn goes to the address and she finds a underground bunker. It empty.

As she walks inside, she founds her family photograph lying there. In that moment, Evelyn realizes the truth about her husband's betrayal.

Overwhelmed with emotion, she stayed inside the bunker, waiting. After sometime, Dove returns to the bunker and broke down to tears.

Evelyn heard that someone is crying and sees her daughter. Dove looks at her in confusion and whispers through tears, "Who are you? How do yo....!!" and recognizes and says "Mother?"

Evelyn broke down to tears and nods. Yes Dove, she says while crying. I'm your mother. I've been searching for you for the last fifteen years.

Both of them finally realize the betrayal Thorn committed against them.

Dove says "Mother... father died recently because of health issues". He never let me leave this bunker. He tole me the world had ended... and we were the last people to suvive.

Evelyn holds her daughter tightly and says nothing.

After fifteen years, mother and daughter are finally together again.
