I am a lamp lover & have well over 20 lamps I’ve thrifted. These are by far my favorite I’ve ever gotten my hands on. But I admit, when it comes to finding lampshades I am clueless. Usually if I thrift one without a shade, I’ll try on a few shades at the thrift & find one I like there but unfortunately there wasn’t any matching shades at the thrift today. These are by far the most unique lamps I’ve gotten (and they work!) so I want to be sure I’m getting the perfect ones.. I prefer 2nd hand but eBay & other sites have been pretty tough to find a matching set of 2. And im too excited to get them going to wait for the perfect ones to find me at the thrift store. I’m thinking of getting a 14 inch shade but I just don’t know.

I haven’t yet decided if I’m going to replace the crystal beads that are missing or if I’m going to take them off entirely. I think if I keep them, I won’t go with a beaded shade.

What size ? What colors do you think would be best ? Most of my home is black/gold & deep red. I included a photo of another lampshade in my house and that’s kinda what I’m leaning towards is finding something like that one.

+ the solar lights I have in my front window. Most of them are close enough to a window to charge but the others I just take the base out every morning & put them on the porch to charge :)

My dad was notorious for carving his nickname “Mitch” into all of his tools. He passed a few years ago & I never really noticed this though I’ve had it a while. “Nom Ura” is what it looks like but that doesn’t make any sense. I’ve never seen him put anything but variations of his name on his tools so it has me stumped.

For context- this was a birthday party and these texts were exchanged while the sun was still out. We live in a trailer park so we’re in close proximity. This is the very first time I’ve heard her complain of noise from my kids in all the 10 years we’ve lived next to each other, like I told her via text if she came and knocked on my door and spoke to the adults we could have talked about it. Instead all of the kids came rushing in from the backyard every few minutes saying she was peaking out the door singing songs about how they’re retarded, bitches and bastards. She also refused to open the door when I knocked after the kids came to me the first time.

She never married or had children and has lived alone for many years. This is a passed down feud. This house was originally my grandmas, then my mom’s and now mine for the last 10 years. She hated my grandma , hated my mom and has been giving us issues the entire time I’ve lived here. But this was a whole new level of insane.

Long rough history with allergies.

Initially he was having ear infections + diarrhea constantly. That was his only symptom as a puppy. After tons of tests, vet said allergies & put him on prednisone + we switched him to Hills Science Diet. His ear infections & diarrhea stopped completely.

Fast forward some months, prednisone is causing other issues that were not worth the benefits we got. (Aggression & weight gain mostly) He actually ended up having an adrenal crisis episode that almost took his life due to vet not giving us proper weaning instructions. After that he was put on a handful of temporary medications & the new vet (we switched vets after the adrenal crisis) told us chicken is a very common dog allergy and suggested we switch to Purina Pro Plan salmon. So we weaned him from his old food to new food. We now have just been doing ear flushes once or twice a week depending on his activities. No ear infections BUT now he has very dry & flaky skin, his back is coated with white flakes all the time. He has eye boogies all the time & red eyes.

Super exhausted at this point as we’ve tried so much. We’re going to get a humidifier for the house since we live in a dry climate but not sure what else we can do to help him.

Btw he listens very well EXCEPT when he’s having outside time & I tell him to come inside which is what was happening here. He loves his outside time & I always have to chase him to bring him in lol

Last summer my kids & I randomly stopped at a walking trail. We were in the area and just looked around on maps for water near by and ended up here. It was either Westminster or Arvada but can’t be certain which. It was hidden in a neighborhood and right behind an elementary school. Any ideas?

There was bike jumps and it was all behind an elementary school & surrounded by a neighborhood that’s all I remember. I’ve been searching maps all week to go again soon but I cannot find it!
