Best Veangence Story you have ever read???

I am really eager to read a good Veangence driven story

Preferably in first POV and preferably with Female protagonist but it's not necessary. I just like them more.

But please suggest me what is the BEST Vengeance story you have evverrrrrr read?

Where the cause was soooooo understandable that readers can unabashedly root for the protagonist seeking revenge.

Think of something like Girl with a dragon tattoo or Razorblade Tears.

Please and thank you!!! 💗💗

Obsessive Mmc relentlessly pursues fmc, but his superficial charms have NO sway on her.

He's a decent guy over all... not a bad person, but to be with fmc he's willing to cross any line. Even abduct her if possible.

His looks, sex skills, power, money, gifts, all the luxury he showers on her, doesn't make FMC accept him.

She might be physically attracted to him, but she absolutely DOESN'T accept him until she starts to love the person he really his.

She really doesn't want to be with him until she starts connecting with him as a person and his views.

It could be a "oh he's misunderstood" trope, I don't mind that. I think that's what happened in bad guy.

Or it could be that fmc finally sees mmc's point of view.. like what happened to Addie in Hunting Adeline.

Or maybe mmc finally realizes his mistake and tries to be a better person... like Cheater by D.D. Prince.

✅️👇🏻Examples

  1. {Bad guy by celia aaron}

  2. {Cheater by d.d. prince}

  3. {Obsession by Gemma Weir}

  4. {Cat and mouse duet}

  5. {Quid pro quo by nenia campbell}

  6. {Unapologetic obsession}... (all of Drethi A books work)

  7. {Psychotic obsession}

  8. {Stronger series by Jay Marie}

❌️👇🏻Bad examples: in these books, I feel like fmcs acted all morally righteous, but they all accepted him when he bestowed her with gifts and care.

Some even accepted the life of cruelty and crime at the end, just cuz they are now the queen at the mmc's side. Since they can't be harmed now, they are totally fine with mmc continuing his horrible work.

  1. {Pucking wrong number}

  2. {24690 by a.a. dark}

  3. {Rules of Bennett}

  4. {Decent by Sam Mariano}

  5. {God of malice}

  6. {Deception trilogy}

Pls dont recommend books like {Hans by S.J. Tilly}... cuz i don't think the fmc fits in either of these categories. But most importantly I don't think mmc relentlessly pursued her. They just hooked up, connected and they were together. That's a completely different type of trope. Great book regardless. Just doesn't fit.

Please and Thank you!! 💗💓

Please no RH recs and I don't think most mafia books can work here, cuz mmc is almost always a bad person in Mafia books who only wins fmc through his wealth and charm.

Pls help me find a simpy emotionally clingy DR mmc!!

😭😭😭 I am constantly picking up and dnfing books. Just can't find one that fits.

I know everyone has different idea of what they might consider simpy or clingy. This is why I am giving the mmcs examples, I'd love to read something like this again. Plssss!!! :

  1. Caden {Unapologetic obsession}

  2. Milo {Quarentine by drethi A}

  3. Dimitri {Player by Kresley Cole}

Think---->>>> ULTRA simp emotionally clingy mmcs who can't spend a day without her.

They were not just in lust with her, but legit insanely in love. Emotionally invested 100%. No gatekeeping or reservations.

Pls pls pls suggest me recs with DR mmcs that makes you think words like...

✅️PATHETIC

✅️SIMP

✅️EMOTIONALLY CLINGY

❌️ My personal Nos:

  1. Mafia

  2. RH

  3. Pls no such scenes where mmc is intentionally antagonizing fmc. Like they do in bully romances.

  4. No OW drama.

👉🏻Already read All the Drethi A books.

👉🏻I don't think any RK books really fits my post.

👉🏻I think {Neva Altaj's Frozen heart} might work based on what I have heard about it but it's mafia. Regardless, it's still on my tbr.

👉🏻 Please don't recommend {Perfect by Ariana rivers} its on my tbr, I soft dnfed it for another reason. Will pick it up later.

Physically Feral + Emotionally Sensitive Mmcs

Why is it difficult to find any good feral but sensitive simpy DR mmcs these days?

👉🏻I think, DR mmcs who truly love fmcs, they can manipulate situations to bring her physically closer to them, even non con or dub con her to enforce physical intimacy.

But when it comes to emotional intimacy, they are not above begging and pleading fmc to choose them. To never leave them. To love them. 💗😭

Most mmcs these days just enforce physical intimacy, and its like they don't even care if fmc is emotionally attached to them or not. It's like they only want her for her body, and because she's their "toy", they hate other people touching her.

They are too preoccupied with other goals like "business endeavors", "personal revenge" and other quests to really care if fmc is emotionally invested in them or not.... as is the case in majority of Sam Mariano and Lola King books.

👉🏻I'm looking for those books with mmc so obsessed, that if she asked, he'd not only give up his entire career bur also present his heart on a silver platter.

No ifs, or buts. I hate when mmcs want fmcs but also want their "business" or "other goals", even at the cost of fmc's happiness and safety.

I'd love if:

  1. Mmc is Super Rich but not in Mafia business.

  2. No single parent or RH tropes.

  3. No OW hookups.

✅️Books that perfectly fits:

  1. Everything by Drethi Anis and Leigh Rivers.

  2. {Player by Kresley Cole}

  3. {Captive by R.J. Lewis}

  4. {Hunting Adeline}

You know that scene in {Unapologetic obsession by drethi A.} When caden is like.. "why don't you see how much I love you? Why can't you give me a chance".. (or something like that)... Axel portrayed similar emotions in {5000 nights of obsession}.

They are well aware that if it comes to physically keeping her, they can very well achieve that by force or restrain. But it Literally KILLS them to see Fmc so emotionally detached from them. Cuz they indeed truly loves her. 😭😭

I want to see this type of conflict from mmcs.

Pleassseeee!!! Thanks so much in advance!! 😭💗

Mmc is like "you are mine and I'm never letting you go"... but in a non DR way.

Please suggest me books with an Alpha Nice Guy mmc who says lines like: "You are mine and I'll never let you go".

Book itself can have a DR setting, but the Mmc should not be a dark toxic mmc. Pls.

Examples:

  1. Logan bennet in {Mindfuck Series} : he's a normal guy. Not DR toxic at all. But when he fell for Lana, he was still completely green except he showed his posessive side with lines like "you are mine, I'll never let you go". >!Specially after he confronts her about letting him think she's dead.!<

  2. {Nemesis by Seraya}: again, mmc was a complete gentleman. Who passionately loved fmc. The only time his "posessiveness" came to show was when Fmc was slipping away. And he's like... there's no way I'm letting you go.

  3. {Broken by J.l. Drake}: mmc is a protector. He saves fmc from captivity and falls for her. And literally says the same line.

✅️Basically I'm desperately looking for Non Toxic, Non DR, Green Flag Mmcs who are still extremely posessive and emotionally attached to the fmc. Like ----->

  1. {Love vs Scarecrow by Cassandra Gannon} >!Mmc loved her for years, never looked at another woman, and was just biding his time. He literally believes she is his wife, but in a very Non Toxic Non DR way..?!<

  2. {Hashtag series by Cambria Hebert} >!Romeo starts off like a normal college guy. But he's becomes soooo ridiculously attached to Rimmel. Nobody matters to him but her.!<

❌️Not looking for those Mmcs who:

1. Thinks of excuses to not be with her. ❌️ Like ----->

● {Nocticadia by Keri Lake} >!Mmc is a nice guy, but constantly makes excuses to not to pursue her cuz shes too young, and his student!<

● {Failure To Match by Kyra Parsi} >!Jackson desperately wanted her but refuses to sort with his feeling and comit to her long term!<

● {My Killer Vacation by Tessa Bailey} I'm currently reading this, and almost done with it. >!Mmc is still not fully ready to comit to her.!< 😭😭

2. Are too polite to ever say the line "you're mine" or "I'll never let you go". ❌️

---> I think most Ali Hazelwood mmcs will fit here. like Adam Carlson, Levi, and Jack Smith.

✅️ Plots can have second chances trope, only if the breakup seperation was not mutual and mmc spends their time apart just biding time, trying to win her back. Like ------>

● {Elements of chemistry by Penny Reid}

● {Until I get you by Claire Contreras}

✅️Most importantly, please suggest a story you truly enjoyed. I know a lot of tessa bailey books might fit my post perfectly. But there's been only a few I really enjoyed. And most of them were the ones you guys recced. Like:

● {Getaway Girl by Tessa Bailey}

● {it happened one summer by Tessa Bailey}

God bless!! Please and Thank You!! 💗💗

Ps: My personal Nos are: RH, HR, Single Parents, and Mafia criminal mmcs.

S.T. Abby's Nash Brothers series is coming out!!!!!! (Pinch me, I'm dreaming)

Meagan Brandy has posted on insta that she was approached by the late C.M. Owens (aka S.T. Abby and Kristy Cunning) 's sister, two years ago, about finishing the Nash Brothers series.

Yes, the same series mentioned at the end of mindfuck series paperbacks. I thought we'd never get to read them!!!! (Omg we might actually get to see what happened to Leonard's sister)

I wholeheartedly adore (borderline worship) mindfuck series. Lana Myers is my wife. And this news is just sooooo dang amazing.

RIP to the great C.M. Owens. I absolutely love her!💗💗 And love Meagan Brandy for doing this.

Lead uses expert level cyber skills to hunt down bad people

Please suggest me a book (if anything comes to mind, in which the lead character uses expert level cyber skills to hunt down bad people.

I tagged romance genre, BUT it can be anything with a romantic subplot.

Like: mystery, thriller, horror.

👉🏻I'm mostly looking for a dark romance or modern romance book with this plotline, with some political intrigue.

The cyber security part can be unrealistic, over the top, or far fetched lol. I don't mind. As long as it's used a lot in the story.

👉🏻Would love if it also has FBI investigation themes.

Books in my mind are:

  1. Mindfuck series by S.T Abby: Fmc and her partner in crime used phenomenal (albeit, far fetched) cyber skills through out the story.

  2. Haunting Adeline by H.D. Carlton: Mmc is (claimed to be) world's greatest hacker, who built a vigilante organization with others like him to track down pedos.

  3. Love Hacked by Penny Reid: Mmc is legitimately the creator of bitcoins. Lol. And he uses his skills to stop bad people from profiting off of his invention(?), ig.

Please recommend if anything comes to mind.

Thanks so much! 💗

Fmc and Mmc seriously debates about the ethics of his "morally grey" business

I love DR, but lately I have been feeling sorta annoyed by the same plotlines repeating:

  1. Mmc is an apathetic criminal/mob billionaire, while Fmc is a morally white person with loads of empathy.

  2. Mmc gets obsessed, fmc hates him for his criminal / self serving work.

  3. Stalkholm syndrome happens, she falls for him, cuz of how well he treats her. AND ALL OF A SUDDEN... She's completely fine that he likely kills innocents for his work or is a drug trafficker or assassin. Or whatever.

I find it a little too ridiculous to read that a fmc who behaves like she'd die trying to save a stray puppy, would be all fine with living a happy life with a mafia boss/criminal harming innocents (potentially)..by the end of the book.

For example: Lia in {deception trilogy by Rina Kent}. Never did they discuss about Adrien leaving the mob biz. Instead, she happily brings her children in the same world. ??? I was like. What?? Girl. What happened to your "killing is bad" stance?

Also Cecily in {God of wrath}... How are these (supposedly, "sensitive") fmcs so chill about their mmcs being a criminal billionaires?

I hate most of all, that the authors never show the couple having a discussion about it either.

Like fmc and mmc tries to find a middle ground about their respective believes.. like they did in {Captive by R.J. lewis} and {Cat and Mouse duet by H.D. Carlton}

👉🏻💓Pls let me know if you have any recs in which Fmc and Mmc actually discusses about his ethics. Right and wrong. And that they don't truly find happily ever after unless both are fully on board with his work.

I feel like most fmcs fold in a snap upon seeing his wealth and "stamina" lol. And it feels so lazy. Like okay, I'd get it, if the fmc is morally grey too...like in {limerence by h.c. dolores}... (or if she was brought up in a criminal family too. Like {monster trilogy by Rina kent}.

But in most DR, they pretend like fmc is super selfless and nice, only to have her be completely fine with mmc's criminal business by the end.

Thanks in advance!! 💗🙌🏻

Extremely over PROTECTIVE mmcs

Looking for over protective DR mmcs. By over protective I mean, mmcs who are borderline paranoid about fmc's health and safety.

Last time I made a somewhat similar request, people mostly recommend over posessive mmcs, which are great too dgmw. ❌️Like {Hans by S.J. Tilly}, which doesn't have a over protective mmc. He was an over posessive one, but in terms of protection, he was like every other DR mmc about her safety.

Instead I'm looking for recs like this: where mmc is super rich, and he will use every cent in his pocket to ensure fmc is protected 24/7.

● She's allergic? He'd personally make her food every day.

● She's constantly guarded under protection....(because mmc wants to protect her from enemies, and not just cuz he's worried she'll run away)

● He's constantly thinking of ways to protect her from potential (both self inflected and external) harms.

I only have three book examples at the top of my mind right now.

  1. {Stronger series by Jay Marie} mmc was the villain. But my gosh he was insanely paranoid about her safety. One time she ran away on a motorcycle and he was infuriatingly mad cuz she didn't wear a helmet. (Dgmw he's still an asshole. But looking for that type of protective vibes in a DR mmc)

  2. {Deviant King by Rina Kent} trilogy. Aiden King stands out to me, because of his ultra protective vibes. He legit had a vasectomy, cuz a potential pregnancy might harm Elsa. Also, he'd sell his entire family and money to ensure Elsa is safe and cared for.

  3. {God of war by Rina kent} Eli was less intense version of his dad, but he gave me the same vibes. He was only working to provide for Ava. He had no other goals. Legit ensured she can't drink ever, knowing how self sabotaging she can be.

In all these recs, mmc was posessive (like every DR guy) but most importantly he was also overtly OVERTLY protective about fmc. At times, they didn't care if she's happy or thriving. As long as she's physically safe 24/7.

They were billionaires who (indirectly) established that they are only working, so they can spend every penny (and every relation they have) to pay for fmc's protection and physical health lol.

PS: {Captive by R.J. Lewis} also has this vibe. Mmc was ridiculously concerned about fmc's safety. Leaving her unguarded was such a massive chore for him. Same for {Unapologetic Obsession by Drethi A.}

Think of vibes like:

  1. 24/7 guarding from his close friends or inner circle. Because mmc thinks his enemies might attack fmc.

  2. Constant checking of her food.

  3. Ensuring she's cared for and protected 24/7.

Basically extra-caution and surveillance efforts. And NOT because mmc is posessive or is afraid that she might try to "leave" him but because he's extremely worried about her safety. ✅️🙏🏻

Please let me know if anything comes to mind.

Thank you so much!!! 💗🙌🏻

Gentleman alpha in the street, freak in the sheets..

Hey guys, it's been a year and {Getaway Girl by Tessa Bailey} is stuck in my head. I love that book so much.

These tropes specifically.

  1. Polite, (non womanizer), wealthy gentleman Mmc becomes best friends with a fierce black cat Fmc.

They are similarly eccentric together based on their sense of humor... think of Josh and Alley from {lights out}.

Idk I just really really love this combo of strangers to bestfriend to lovers. But with an alpha, gentleman mmc (not necessarily a Golden Retriever) and an impulsive, fist throwing fmc... (who almost always thinks she is too much of a mess for the posh rich mmc lol)

  1. {Getaway Girl by Tessa Bailey} is ofcourse my favourite.

  2. But I loveddd!!! {Lights out By navessa allen} too. Josh and Alley's combo is soooo fuxking cute.

  3. {Ten trends to seduce your bestfriend}

  4. {Love hypothesis}

  5. {Becoming a vincent}

  6. {Honestly I'm totally faking it}

  7. {Butcher and Blackbird}

  8. {Window shopping by tessa bailey}

  9. {Long Time Coming by Meghan Quinn}

They don't fit the criteria exactly but all of them have such a great friends to lovers storyline. And in each of them.. mmc is a wealthy gentleman and fmc thinks she's too much of a mess to be a good partner for him. And he pursues her to the end of the world. Convinces her, her mess is better than anything else.

Pls pls pls. Let me know if you have any more such plotline recs.

Thank you so much!!

My personal NOs: preferably no sports romance pls. And definitely NO enemies to lovers, and NO womanizer /playboy mmc. He's always been a gentleman or atleast didnt sleep around alot even before fmc.

Mmc leads a massive anti-corruption vigilante organization

Im sorry, I know this has been asked every few years. 🥲

But I just can't CANT find any annyyyyyyy series in which mmc leads a really powerful lethal anti corruption vigilante organization that works for the people. Except {Haunting Adeline}

Zade's work in Z corp is perfect example. He controls Politician, Billionaires, any large scale corrupt criminals that ruin normal people's life.

He's passionate about ridding the world of the extremely bad people ruling at the TOP. Cuz that's where it all starts.

It's unrealistic but very V for vendetta style. I love it so much!!

**This plot: that he built an entire team of loyal honest vigilantes from around the country. Protecting people who cant protect themselves.**

Plssss plssssss plssss I beg you, pls share any book (from any genre) that has this plotline other than Haunting Adeline.

Specially an mmc who is a vigilante against corrupt politicians.

Pleaaseee and Thank you!! 🙏🏻💗🥲

(Pls no RH)

And HEA must. Pls. So no Under your scars.

DR mmc with posessive, obsessive, red flag-ish streak..but he's also super sweet and caring with her.

Ikkknooww this is such a weird combo to ask. Yall have created the nicesest safest place in this sub. We can say ask for darkest requests and you guys always deliver!! Love you 💗!

But what do I do when I have a slightly tricky request. 😭💀

I really want to read a DR book where mmc is "alpha, territorial, broody, etc etc" but he can also be super sweet and caring, and considerate for the fmc, when she needs it.

For example, like

  1. Zade Meadows {Cat and mouse duet}

  2. Aiden King {Deviant King trilogy} most of RK men would work.

  3. All the Drethi A. Mmcs.

  4. Mmc from {Cheater by D.D. prince}

  5. {Captive by R.J. Lewis}

  6. {Bad guy by celia Aaron}

  7. All the C.R. Jane mmcs.

  8. {Limerence by H.C. dolores}

Basically he can be a walking Red Flag.. (would do anything except for physical abuse DV and sharing) but he's also super sweet, domestic and caring with her when she needs it.

He genuinely loves and treats her like a princess but would turn into red flag if she tries to leave him.

❌️I just DON'T want them to be primarly self serving like most Sam Mariano mmcs are.

Basically looking for a book in which mmc can be a Toxic Red flag, but atleast he has some morals....like the mmc from Bad Guy by Celia Aaron. He kidnapped her but never touched her without her consent. Actually, genuinely cared for her happiness. Same goes with Captive by R.J. Lewis, and other C.R. Jane mmcs.

My personal Nos are

  1. Explicit scenes with OW

  2. Preferably No Mafia

  3. No RH

  4. No Domestic Violence, like mmc physically hitting her in rage.

Thanks so much! Please rec if anything comes to mind. 🙌🏻🙌🏻💗💗

Which L.J. shen book has no scenes of mmc with OW. (Explicit or during seperation)

I love L.J. shen's posessive mmcs but I hate that almost all her books have them

  1. Explicitly Hooking up with other women.

Or

  1. Has a second chance trope in which mmc and fmc brokeup, and mmc was happily fucking other women in their time apart. Eg. {Devil wears black} {Ruthless Rivals}

I am not very rigidly against these tropes, I just don't want mmc to be extremely callous playboy type.

✅️💗For example, in {Truly, Madly, Deeply by L.J. Shen} mmc was perfectly in between.

He was in Love with fmc, she broke his heart, so he did have other hookups, but thats cuz they were NEVER in a relationship before. And afterwards, he was mad but still desperate for a relationship with her, she was avoiding commitment.

Mmc was mad at her, but he was never too bitter or vengeful. He still loved and cared for her so much.

Are there any other books by her that has similarly in between mmc. He can be mad at fmc but not too bitter. And NO hookups with OW (atleast explicitly) and after mmc and fmc are in a relationship.

Please and Thanksss!!!!

Any book in which mmc is OTT protective of fmc... like not a hair on her head must be harmed

Idk why It's been a while since I have read a romance book in which mmc is truly protective of fmc. Like, no harm should fall upon her. He's 24/7 thinking about her safety. Like really, every second. His main goal everyday is to keep Fmc safe

I keep thinking of Darren's toxic obsession with Jaden { Stronger series by Jay Marie}, he wasn't in love, but he was OTT protective of her. He's like "anybody who hit her is dead..except for me, I can break her bones anytime lol".

The guy covered her with his body from flying bullets. (Even tho it wasn't out of love, but cuz she was his favorite toy)

Anybody who even remotely risked her life, even indirectly, was killed.

Think of his constant obsession of treating her like a fragile doll with everyone BUT make it ACTUAL LOVE and not just toxic obsession.

Better example would be Aiden {Deviant king trilogy by Rina Kent}.. towards the end of book 3, he was hand feeding her apples lol. 🤣🤣

He even considered taking up medicine as a career to help her with her disease.

Refused to let her get pregnant.

And he was in Love and not just obsessed.

I have read {Captive by R.J. lewis}, {Bad guy by celia aaron} and {Cheater by D.D. Prince} already.. (although i think cheater was more about his toxic obsession and not love)

Preferably: NO extremely shy silent fmcs. and please No RH. And please!! A must HEA.

Thanks!! 💗

Fmc is really into social welfare and doing the "right thing"

I'm looking for books in which FMC has a backbone and stands up for Social welfare where needed. It might not be her ultimate life goal like an activist. But her main passion is to contribute to society through her job or any other way. As much as she can.

Author Penny Reid does this EXTREMELY well.

  1. {Knitting in the City series}

  2. {Hypothesis series by Penny Reid}

  3. {Ten trends to seduce your bestfriend}

And many more. Fmcs always ALWAYS!!! think about the ethical issues, discuss them in depth. Sometimes mmcs are fully on board, other times... it takes time to open their eyes... (ex. {Elements of Chemistry})

But ultimately, I LOVE how in each Penny Reid book, fmcs are actively aware and supporting social welfare causes. Either through their own career path, or as a sideline volunteering.

Pleasseeee recommend if anything comes to mind.

Thank You!!! 🙏🏻 💗

Massive youth protest/ rebellion overthrows government

Hey guys! I'm looking for any fantasy/sci-fi series (New Adult) with main plot about massive youth led protest defeating tyrant government.

Loved this storyline in {Iron Flame by Rebecca Yaross}, When every senior officer (and even Dragons) was insistent on lying to the cadets. But when they found out. Most students just got up and left Navarre.

Showing how weak their gov forces were without the young cadets supporting them. Ultimately, they folded and accepted the rebellion.

Similar adjacent youth led rebellion stories were pretty popular in YA.

Examples: {Hunger games} {Divergent} {Shatter Me} {Harry Potter} etc.

Many newer series like {Silver Elite} {Daggermouth} are going in the same direction, but sadly not enough books are out yet. {Daughter of the drowned empire} I love this series, but we are 5 books into it, and no closer to usurping the government. They hardly have 5-6 kids in their cause. The rest really don't give a fuck lol.

Other examples (without romance): {Red rising} {poppy wars} {Ember in the ashes}

I'd prefer if the series are:

  1. New Adult and not YA. I know we have so many recs in YA already.

  2. Less about single corrupt king/ queen, or royal control. More about systematic oppression by a group of leaders, or government. It can include Kings or Queens, but also the entire council, high post officers etc. Everyone is unanimously maintaining a dictatorship, through lies and propaganda.

Thank You For reading this!! 💗🙌🏻

Somebody needs to write this... "I'll let the world burn for you" said Gobi to Pradhan, true epic love story between the PM and EM

Lol, we all had fun with PM and RG forbidden love story.

But you guys!!! We are getting free material right nowwwwww. Don't you think?

Think of this... the "evil" world is coming after PM Gobi's one true love. Everyone is against him.

But Mr. Gobi!!! He's a man in Love. ALPHA Male who's only simp for his love.

He'd rather let the world burn, before letting them touch a hair on his head.

Tropes:

"Touch him and die"

"Forbidden romance"

"Morally grey"

"Secret relationship"

"Hurt/comfort"

"Caretaking"

"Overprotective mmc"

💯💯💯💯💯

Someone with skills, atleast make a fan edit bro.

Constant longing stares from mmc with silent yearning..

Mmc constantly looks at her, and fmc doesnt think much of it, but he's longggginnnnggg and yearning for her deeply. He cannot stop himself from looking and listening to her every word.

Imo, Mmcs (who silently yearn) often stare so longingly and constantly cuz that's the only way they can expresss the intensity of their emotions, without risking FMC feeling pressured. (Either they can't say that they love her, or they want to go by her pace, and doesn't want to pressure her with the intensity of their feelings.)

Preferably FMC SINGLE POV: I feel like longing glances from Hero feel more heart dropping if we don't know what he's thinking. Instead, we get fmc's reaction whenever she catches him staring, still he never looks away in embarrassment.

He might not outright declare the depth of his feelings, BUT, he is not afraid to look at her, as much as he can. Maybe cuz they barely get to hang out together. Not in a creepy way, but in a "she's an ethereal person, how can I ever get fill of her"...

Example:

  1. {Elements of chemistry by Penny Reid} remember that scene in book 3.. >!when Martin gifts Parker a piano, and she's playing it for an hour, only to realize Martin's been intensely staring at her intensely for god knows how long.!< Looking like he found some really important treasure, and couldn't believe its sitting right in front of him. And the fact that he doesn't outright declare his feeling, so not to pressure her, but seeks every chance to hang out with her was so fucking good!!!!!!

  2. {Blood and Ash by Jennifer L Armentrout} similar to EOC.. in BAA book 2, the mmc is trying his best as to not outright confess how desperately he wants her. He's trying to go along at HER pace. But at times poppy would find him staring at him, like so intensely.

  3. {Ten trends to seduce your bestfriend} Byron constantly looked at her. Sought her company. Hung to her every word. But knowing she has feelings for someone else, never ever told her about his feelings, so not to put her in a bad situation.

  4. I know Ali Hazelwood does it so good... (yes I have read bride, I just thought the reason for TAB was ridiculously dumb)

  5. Also series like {Kindred's curse saga by Penn Cole} and {When the moon hatched} also has this exact plotline.

PLEASE!!! If any such book comes to mind, where the longing stare scenes really made you go.... whooooow! Pls recommend them.

My personal genre NO's are: Mafia, RH. Historical might work, might not. It depends on the writing.

Thank you so much!! 💗🙌🏻

**Spoiler** theory about Casteel in the final book

I thought the worst ending would be to make Casteel the villain and have her end up with Kieran. But I just realized something much worse can happen...

What if.. Kolis have also posessed Casteel in the past??

What if Casteel was never the hero, but a person under kolis's influence. That's why they both say Poppy taste like Honeydew.

I'd buy all the books and burn them if this happens I swear.

The idea that kolis called poppy's blood taste like honeydew.. ew ew ew.

Also... Kolis kept saying how he always had all her firsts.....the first time Poppy and Casteel slept together. He said she taste like Honeydew. What If...what if....... Kolis had posessed Casteel at the time??????

Sorry for the nightmare. 🥲

Again, if this happens... I'll burn the entire series.

Fmc is an unrecognized (academic) genius, and (wealthy) Mmc (pref. in the same field as her) helps her get recognized or get back on track.... (no rockstar or musician tropes pls)

Fmc is some sort of unrecognized genius or just very capable in a field (academics related). Maybe something happened, family responsibility or life issues that slowed her career or led her astray.

Mmc (must be from a wealthy background) recognizes her potential and is in awe of her. He helps her achieve her forgotten goals, and get recognition for her work.

Example:

1**. {Deal with the Bossy Devil by Kyra Parsi}** fmc was a prodigy student on tract to get into top law school, but family issues led her to drop out. Mmc is wealthy businessman who saw her potential and help her get back on track.

  1. {Love theoretically} Mmc is on a higher position than fmc, but he sees how amazing her work has been, and by now she should have been farther ahead. He helps get more exposure.

❌️I have also seen similar stories in musician tropes. In which fmc is an extraordinary singer or artist, and mmc launches her career...very the star is born type. [If anyone is looking for it.. try {sin and discipline by lily white} it's an amazing book.]

✅️But i'm currently looking for non show business type talent. More academic or industry based talents and skills.... if not that, then maybe sports.. like in {waking olivia by elizabeth o'roark} but make the mmc privileged.

Please and Thank you so much!! 💗
