Am I the only one who finds this incredibly frustrating?

On my 2025 BMW X5, if I step out of the running car for 30 seconds while my wife stays inside with her own key fob, the car still blasts the horn because my key walked away. There doesn’t seem to be any option to disable this.

This seems like a very normal family use case on a hot day when you want to keep the A/C running while grabbing something quickly. I understand bmw might not supported family use.

Does everyone just accept this behavior, or has anyone else been annoyed by it? I’m honestly surprised BMW doesn’t at least provide a setting to disable the horn when another authorized key is still inside the vehicle.

Need Advice: 9 Month Old Constantly Crying and Won’t Stay Asleep

My son is 9 months old and we’re struggling quite a bit with sleep and fussiness.

For the past several days, he’ll often fall asleep but wake up after about 20 to 30 minutes crying. During the day he can be very fussy and wants to be held much of the time. At night it has become especially difficult because he wakes frequently and can cry for long stretches.

One thing we’ve noticed is that he seems much more upset when laid flat. Sometimes he calms down when held upright, but the moment we put him down he starts crying again.

He does not have a fever, has normal wet diapers, and we’ve already spoken with our pediatrician and a nurse line who didn’t identify any obvious concerns.

Has anyone experienced something similar around 9 months? Did it end up being reflux, teething, separation anxiety, constipation, an ear infection, or something else?

We’re exhausted and mostly just want to help him be comfortable. Any experiences or suggestions would be appreciated.

Any one ever miss pause/play button on steering?

Or you prefer taking eyes off the road, remembering what app you use, finding app, opening it and clicking pause from touchscreen? I can understand many would prefer exactly how BMW has made but curious if there are any like minded folks who wish for the complex pause functionality.

One can also mute or power off or avoid playing music as other options.

8 months old each day is hard

  • baby has reduced drinking milk. He fights the bottle. Drinks 3-4 oz per feeding. He eats 1-2 tsp of purées a day
  • with this he gets constipation. Does not poop did 1-3 days which obviously makes him uncomfortable
  • tried gentle constipation liquids and ofcourse bicycle kicks and warm baths but it’s not super effective.
  • now comes the fun part. Night time. He’s very active after 9 pm and does not sleep until 1 am. Because he does not drink milk well, he wakes up in 2 hours. My partner and I can’t get sleep for 2 more hours after that. Until 7 months he preferred dad at night. He now needs mom at night awake for 2-3 hours after he wakes up early morning at like 3 or 4 am.
  • mom ends up taking day shift and night shift while working at the same time. Dad used to take night shift but he does not sleep well with dad now. Neither of us has slept more than 4 hours a night for the last few weeks

Still looking at the little bundle of joy my heart melts every time.

No Kodi free-plugins for movies are working

Tried many plugins like The Crew, Scrubs, Elementum, etc but always get No steams available. I think without paying for premium options, all free movies options are no longer available as of writing this.

Followed this wiki: https://troypoint.com/best-kodi-addons/ Not sure if I am missing anything. Clearing caches is not working. Just did a fresh installation of latest Kodi with all latest plugins.

I am just the messenger, please dont disable my account.

Useless parking assistance? reset sensors?

I have the parking assistance package, but so far I’ve never really had it useful. It never suggests any parking spots atleast that I can use.

Is there a way to reset the parking sensors preferably without going to the dealership?

Anyone else getting this issue? Its been 4-5 years. No one has fixed this issue. Btw Apple Carplay is available on many cars including luxury and regular cars. BMW has chosen to not fix this for 4-5 years.

Issue: usually after turning off the car and turning it on again, the song dashboard changes to unknown album, unknown, track, and forwarding or skipping songs is not working anymore

So I am on STD short-term disability from company one and got an offer for company 2. Is it OK to continue the STD benefits while working for company? I heard that sometimes there are insurance audits at a later stage. Interesting thing is I already got laid off from company one.
