Next show starts before the current recorded show is over

With about 45-60 seconds left in the recorded shows I'm watching, YTTV will pop up the next episode banner at the bottom and start the 5 second countdown. I have to cancel that process twice to continue watching the current show to the end. Is there a setting to turn this off, or delay it?

Real Time NFL Scores 2026-27 Season

I have created a Google Sheet that pulls real time NFL scores from the reliable ESPN API. I've made this viewable by all, so please feel free to make a copy to use for yourself

SAME sheet for 2026-27 season

This sheet can now be used for multiple seasons. Go to the Admin Console and archive the last season. Then change the season and rerun the data load.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1VKEMLSsSgzPihoGaG0q51-hKofAGY59x6lHa7hVXPms/edit?usp=sharing

Features:

  • IMPORTANT - Select the Week(s) to update in the Admin Console tab
  • Pulls all NFL game data from ESPN into the Live Scoring sheet by Week
  • Archives previous years through button in Admin Console
  • Trigger can be set to refresh the data at chosen increments
  • Week Filter sheet allows for data set to be filtered by week
  • Week Filter sheet allows for completed games to be hidden
  • Week Filter sheet will highlight the team with possession of the ball (during game)
  • Week Filter sheet shows the timestamp when Live Scoring was last refreshed
  • Pause checkbox lets you skip API calls without having to change the triggers

Triggers:

To auto refresh a copy you'll create a trigger that runs the function "main".

Here are some instructions:

  1. go to Extensions AppsScript
  2. On the left side choose Triggers
  3. On the bottom right , Choose + Add Trigger
  4. Choose which function to run - main
  5. Select event source - Time driven Select type of time based trigger - minutes timer
  6. Select minute interval - Every 5 minutes

Is my tattoo & piercing perspective outdated?

I've lived my Gen X life with the perspective that Jews just don't get tattoos or face piercings I don't believe in heaven or hell so that's not the issue.

As a progressive individual I realize that everything changes. So....

My 18 year old jewish daughter wants a face piercing and a tattoo. And I'm torn between upholding tradition and being left behind. I'm not a fan of tattoos or piercings but it's not my life.

What has your Jewish experience been with Tattoos and Piercings

The "I can't do math" bit isn't funny anymore

I'm still a fan, but I'm guessing that bit was chuckle-worthy exactly one time. It's not funny and it goes on for way too long.

I tested Statelinker S2 Portable WiFi Hotspot

I tested the StateLinker Hotspot briefly and want to share a few observations after the first day:

The Good:

  • The price is very good at $69.99 with free shipping. It arrived in 3 days
  • It's very light weight
  • Setup was simple. I turned it on and after a few minutes of the screen reading "registering...", it connected
  • The LED screen shows how much data you had total and how much is remaining and the current speed (in high, med, low I assume?)
  • The LED shows a QR code that allows users to connect immediately
  • It showed 10GB available right away. No call to customer service needed
  • 2GB per month rolls over if not used
  • No SIM, No contract
  • It was relatively easy to connect to the administration page. Username and password are in the small instruction pamphlet
  • Initial tests got between 20Mbps - 35Mbps connected to AT&T in Northern Virginia, although somehow I went through 1GB hitting fast.com a dozen times.
  • 4G is not expected to phase out until 2035

The Bad:

  • SSID password must be exactly 8 characters in length and cannot contain special characters
  • the puck seems poorly assembled with plastic worn in some places and seems uneven
  • it's extremely hard to see the screen outside due to glare
  • the screen times out after 15 seconds even when charging. There is no other indicator that the device is on. So it's hard to tell if it's on or off
  • Ships with a very short USB to USB-C wire. No charging block
  • Only works in North America

The Sketchy:

  • The Statelinker website looks like an AI mess. Lots of 404 errors and incorrect "cut and paste" version of what they are selling
  • Who knows how long this company will be around
  • If you run out of free data, the paid plans look expensive

The Unknown:

  • I haven't tested battery life. I plan to use it stationary for 1 day per year, so that shouldn't be a problem
  • Who knows how long this company will be around
  • It is supposed to allow 16 concurrent connections. I've only tested 2

G30 BMW Home Automation in the US

Since BMW ConnectedDrive Automations were disabled in the US, has anyone come up with clever ways to include their G30 in their platform?

Has anyone tried the Statelinker S2 WiFi Hotspot?

This looks exactly like the GlobLinker no contract hotspot but only for North America and 1/2 the price at $69.99 USD. Same tech, same 10GB free and 2GB / month rolled over.

https://statelinker.com/products/products-portable-wifi-hotspot-10gb-free-data

The Statelinker S2 is a compact 4G LTE portable WiFi hotspot with Wi-Fi 6 technology, designed primarily for North America (US, Canada, and Mexico). It eliminates the need for physical SIM cards, offering contract-free connectivity for up to 8 to 16 devices simultaneously.

Key Features

  • No SIM Required: Uses virtual/cloud SIM technology to seamlessly switch to premium networks without carrier restrictions.
  • Wi-Fi 6: Provides improved efficiency and faster speeds in high-demand or crowded network areas.
  • Design & Battery: Ultra-lightweight (approx. 100 grams) with an all-day battery life lasting up to 15 hours.
  • Built-In Display: Features an LED screen that shows remaining data, speed, connected devices, and signal status.
  • Data Perks: Most purchases include introductory data (such as 10GB for the first 30 days) and various data plans for continued use.

Drop shipping options?

What has your experience been with drop shipping integration into Wix? We're looking to have a zero inventory shop for shirts, hoodies, pants, hats, and maybe stickers. Small non profit school boosters. So traffic won't be heavy.

We're using the legacy Editor on a business premium plan.

I'm working for a small non profit and we'd like to do a live poll in a meeting of about 100 people and show the results in Google Slides. We have the non profit version of Workspace. Has anyone had experience with a free version that is reliable?
