The last Tales game I was waiting on in the mail. I got the Vita remake not long ago, so I didn't need this... but it's so darn pretty 😊

I know it's not considered a mainline entry, but it was at one point so I'm counting it 😅 The last game for my collection arrived while I was camping, and anything else I pick up at this point is just gravy 😊

I will share a pic of all of them at some point, but I now have at least one version of every mainline entry in the series.

Another guide for the collection arrived today.

Took a while to find this one in good condition without it being overpriced 😆

Latest addition. Saved a ton importing a French copy, but it has English as an option in game so I'm fine with it 😅

Has anyone ever gotten extra items in their orders by mistake? (Story below)

So, the day the SMW display showed up on their site i ordered it and a pack of the post cards (I had some points that were going to expire and I haven't picked that item yet) and it was taking very long to ship out. Usually within a day or 2 I would have a tracking number, the next day it would ship, and a day after that it would show up at my house (I live fairly close to where they ship from), but last Sunday I went into a live chat with their customer service to see what was up, explained everything and even gave them my tracking number (I had a number and the order was waiting to be picked up by Purolator).

The guy said he would look into it and came back to say he had shipped out my order and I would get an order confirmation soon and a shipping confirmation when it actually shipped and promptly closed the chat.

Even though i still had my original order active I was emailed 2 more notifications (1 for a display, 1 for the postcards) and those ended up showing up at my door today as seperate envelopes, but there were 2 sets of postcards in one envelope 😅

My original order finally shipped this morning as well and should be here tomorrow, meaning I will probably have 2 displays and 3 sets of postcards, only paid 1 shipping cost, and only paid enough Platinum Points for 1 of each 😆

I'm counting it as a win since they have sent me damaged items in the past 3 times and only replaced one of them, so this is a nice consolation prize lol.

And the next day another game shows up in the mail. It's like Destiny 😉☺️

I decided to import a copy Destructive CIB since it was $20 less than a loose copy of Bazooka Blitzkrieg, even after shipping 😆

It came from the UK actually, which is the first time I have imported a Japanese game to Canada that didn't come from Japan, lol. Now only if Japan had a cheap SFC version of Operation Thunderbolt. Besides T2: The Arcade game that's the only Super Scope game I don't own, and it isn't fun enough that I want to pay $100+ CAD for a copy 😅

Also, does anyone know if this green insert with info about AC adapters came with this originally? Or is it from a Super Famicom box or something else? I found it in the bottom of the game box all folded up.

Latest addition to the collection is here 😊

I still need to get around to playing the PS2 fan translation. I decided to get the PSP version because I prefer the cover over the PS2 version, plus the art for that is on the PSP manual anyway 😅

I have always wanted a Sega CD and 32X so I could play on my CRT proper... but I'm happy enough with my cost saving compromises 😅

PS3 running Retroarch, paired with an 8bitdo M30 blutooth controller (which i also use with my Switch, Genesis, and Saturn) and a Mayflash Magic-NS adapter. It definitely feels better than emulating on a PC or handheld, though it looks like Sonic doesn't approve 😅

I finally got a Super GameBoy 2. I felt it was appropriate to test it out with the only Japanese original GameBoy game I own 😊

Does anyone know why it has the purple tag that says "Free" (I don't recall seeing that before) or know why it let's me add another one to my cart even though I bought one already? Is there no purchase limit on these ones like the others?

I don't really need a 2nd one so I haven't actually tried to purchase more than 1, but it's tempting since when I got my Super Mario Bros. display it came with a scratch right through the protective cover and they wouldn't replace it and I can't order a 2nd one of those to get a better one.

Yesterday I ordered the last few games I needed to complete what I consider a complete collection of the mainline series, so I wanted to ask: what do you consider a complete set when collecting the Tales series?

Just games from your region? Do they all have to be english? Every port? Spinoffs? Etc...

I wanted at least 1 of every game, and once some show up in the mail I will have just that. When it came to JPN only games I didn't care about having all the versions, so I mostly stuck with the versions that had the covers I liked the most (it's not like I'm going to actually play them since i can't read Japanese 😅) and I will just play whatever the best versions of each of those games are that have fan translations.

This is everything I have and will soon have, and why and/or how I got them (and all are CIB):

- Phantasia - GBA:

I bought the loose cart a few years ago for dirt cheap and managed to find the box and the manual for a low enough price that in total it was half of what it normally goes for CIB. Options are kind of limited for official english versions of this game 😅

- Destiny - PS2:

I imported the regular JPN PS2 version over the Director's Cut because it was a lot cheaper and I prefer the cover art. I don't like the cover to the PS1 original and I don't want to pay the going price for a NA copy of that. It's in the mail.

- Eternia - PSP:

Imported a EUR copy a while back and plan on getting the remaster. Similar to Destiny, I don't want to pay the going price for the PS1 version, plus it would annoy me since it's called Destiny II 😆

- Destiny 2 - PS2:

Obviously imported since it's a JPN exclusive.

- Symphonia - PS3:

Got it on clearance back in the PS3 days and I'm happy enough with that version for both Symphonia and it's sequel.

- Rebirth - PSP:

Again, obviously an import. I prefer the PSP cover over the PS2 cover, which is quite bland imo. It's in the mail.

- Legendia - PS2:

I managed to find it brand new on Amazon about 6 years ago (shipped and sold by them, so they must have found some new/old stock or something).

- Abyss - PS2:

It was a gift from a friend who gave me what was left of his video game collection a few years back simply because he didn't want them any more and he knew I collected.

- Innocence - DS:

I prefer the cover over the Vita remake, though I may pick that up eventually just because 😅 it's in the mail

Tempest - DS:

I know it's now not considered a mainline game, but it was dirt cheap and it *used* to be a mainline entry 😅 it's in the mail

- Vesperia - XBOX 360 & XBOX One:

I got the 360 version from the same friend who gave me Abyss, but that was after I bought the remaster on XBOX One. Since neither are worth selling or trading I just kept both 😊

- Hearts - DS & Vita:

Ordered both at the same time. The DS copy was cheap and i love the cover, and the Vita version is the French version, and I don't care that most of the case isn't in English because it has English text in game and it was half the price of the NA version. Both are in the mail.

- Graces - PS5:

Just got the latest version of it because it was on sale for $20 CAD and I had a $5 off coupon.

- Xillia - PS3:

Found a beautiful opened but never played copy of the Limited Edition a few years ago, but may get the remaster eventually if the price drops.

- Xillia 2 - PS3:

Got this not long ago because I found it for cheap, and again may get the remaster if it gets officially announced and goes on sale.

- Zestiria - PS4:

Got it on clearance for $20 at Walmart years ago.

- Berseria - PS4:

Got it for the same price and the same time as Zestiria.

- Arise - PS4:

Got it on PS4 since it was cheaper than the PS5 copy (Black Friday sale), and I could just get the free digital upgrade.

I plan on making a post with a picture once they are all together ❤️

I haven't touched my Vita in over a year and had no idea this had a English translation 😊

I learned about it when I was looking up the game after recently ordering/importing a copy of the DS original for my collection, so I just had to get it up and running.
