Hello!
I have been working diligently to get tailscale to stay enabled on my Motorola Edge 2024. I feel like I have tried everything, but the tailscale app will still routinely disconnect. Here are the things I recall trying thus far:
If you have any ideas, please let me know. Thanks a ton!
So for context, I took this video in Dec 2023 when I got off on the wrong floor at the Union Bank Place building off O street. I was just reminded of it now after watching The Backrooms movie. I was taking the elevator up, and it stopped on this floor (I think floor 2). When I got out, I couldn't open the elevator again. I walked around and found a staircase that lead up to an area where it sounded like someone was playing the piano. You can briefly see that staircase around the 5 second mark. I couldn't go up the stairs as there was a red velvet rope blocking them. I walked around a little more and found old payphones. I then tried the elevator that was across from the one I got off of and that one worked. I'm sure this is a normal old office building, but I am curious if anyone knows anything about it or what it was / what the piano was.
Notice the solder line in the second picture; is that easily cleanable? Do you think it was made smaller or larger?
The gold seems kind of muted, is that just a patina that can be removed, or something different?
How old would you guess that it is?
I previously attempted to use both of these sticks on Windows. It ended up bluescreening and corrupted my install.
You'll notice that these sticks have a different latency and I know that I can adjust that in the bios. With my previous attempt I had not adjusted the latency.
I would like to use this RAM in a TrueNAS server and not have to buy more, given RAM prices. I also know that RAM is very important with ZFS and I do not want to risk corruption. Please let me know what you advise and if you have questions.
In this really helpful interview that was recently posted, Jeff discusses the plans for how the bootloader can be unlocked. He mentioned that you will have to request a key and then they will give it to you and know that you have it. I'm curious what you guys think about this and why they chose to do it this way. Perhaps for warranty stuff?
