Raising Canes remodel is almost done. Looks like they decided the parking and drive thru were not an issue.

I get they can't really do much with what they have, but I figured they would have tried something. I don't care about their bland food, but I hate the traffic problems they cause.

Community Water Management

If you have to use Community Water Management, how much is your bill? I have to use them for water and sewer, and my bill for this month is 81 dollars, and it's usually around 70, which is still high, I think. I'm one person! Am I just stuck paying these outrageous rates?

RIP Three Buddies

They're closed, closed. I know some people liked it, it was very mid the one time I tried it. I think they suffered from not advertising they were open for the longest time (as well as it just being a cursed location)

Happy 10th birthday to the princess of white cats, Tilda🎉🎉

8 years ago this girl showed up on my porch and wouldn't leave. She was clearly already housebroken, been fixed, and had been left behind by some immature people(I live in a college town). Tried to give her away because I couldn't have a cat at the time and she came back....twice. The second time she came back, I could actually take her in, and we've never looked back!!

My super stuffed disappointment

So I bought a pack of the caramel cinnamon super stuffed pop tarts to try, and I can't even eat them because they're like soaking wet from all the filling or something. The second picture is the first one I took out of the box, by far the "wettest" one. The first pic is one that was less wet, so I tried to put it in the toaster and it fell apart. I already got my free coupon to replace this shit.

What happened to the cheaters thread, or is this sub just for talking about 7brew and the world cup?

The cheaters thread was the best thing we had all month, who took it down? Drop your cheaters here, folks.

After 2+ years of building my credit and saving, I can finally afford a car... because my aunt gave me 2k.

So like the title says, I've been building credit, saving money, quitting vices, all to get a car, an inconvenient necessity in the US. I've done pretty well, I had *just* enough saved for a 20% down payment on a good car, I was just biding my time, waiting for the right deal.

My aunt and her husband came down last weekend(note:I don't have a lot of close family, moms dead, absent dad, iykyk) and I was just venting to them about money, about how much a billion dollars is, etc.(we all know the figures here) and how if you don't start with anything, it's hard to build anything. I don't usually talk like that to family or important people, I obviously want them to think I'm hunky dory, but I think I really got through to them in a way they haven't considered.

The next day after they left, my aunt sent me 2500 dollars. She knew I wouldn't accept it when they were here and I knew I couldn't send it back. Obviously this is a huge blessing, tips the scales on my car fund, and I'm very grateful, but I hate that it kind of proves my point. I won't squander this opportunity though; I'm starting to see a future where I don't struggle all the time.
