So Glasgow city council haven’t picked up my buildings blue bins in ages, and I’ve reported this through the app every day for 6 days now and the request is closed immediately, as they’re “aware of the missed collection and are working on it.” Have tried calling their number, listened to the automated messages and clicked the correct number on my keypad, to just be told they’re closed but not any opening times. Do I just have to sit and wait for them to do their fucking job or does anyone have any tips for actually speaking to a person about it? We’ve 4 blue bins between 8 flats, 3 of which have 5-7 people living in them. Many of my neighbours are lazy cunts and refuse to take the extra step of putting bin bags in the green bin and so either fill the blue bin up with them or leave them on top. The bin area is getting absolutely disgusting and my kitchen isn’t loving having a pile high of cardboard and other recyclables either.

Am I the only one who HATES Kendall’s makeup? Girl uses the darkest foundation and really dark lipstick and I think it looks absolutely terrible. Idk if she does it anymore but in her vlogging days when she’d do her make up on cam, she’d create this really dark line / follow the shape of the bottom of her neck as it meets her chest (sorry I really don’t know how to describe it) and I’d watch in horror just thinking “is this meant to look … good?” Like, my girl, have you never heard of the no makeup look? She goes HEAVY on her products and I am not here for it, I never see anyone say this so maybe it’s just me who despises it

Anyone else think it’s sad that Annalee and Kendall *seem* disconnected now? Like I remember in Kendall’s vlogging days she’d regularly have Annalee in her vlogs, she’d hype her up, Annalee started a YouTube channel or was talking about starting one (pretty sure she made one) and Kendall would encourage her (and plugged the channel). Then Annalee started working for her and was obviously very behind the scenes. And now, Annalee doesn’t seem to work for her, Annalee doesn’t feature in ANY of Kendall’s pics on instagram, I’ve just had a nosey and Annalee hasn’t even liked any of her posts since April 21. Like it was Holly’s birthday last weekend and was Annalee even there? Couldn’t tell ya.

I’ve got a sister and we aren’t close at all, I had a childhood of trauma and violence thanks to her and don’t have an interest in being her sister. But it makes me sad, she has kids and I wish I knew them better. I wish my sister wanted to do better and have a relationship with me too. We live in different countries which makes it a bit easier. But I feel for Holly and now Truman, they have an uncle they never seem to see and now an aunt too maybe? It just sucks. Whatever happened between them, because imho something has to have happened in some capacity for Annalee to no longer work for her, it’s just sad. Kendall really continues to surround herself with selfish, shallow people (Janelle and haley) while people like Karelly and Jess are waved out of her life with no effort (btw Jess and Kendall don’t follow one another on ig anymore, noticed in my nosey) and her own sister too to an extent (allegedly, allegedly). She always called Janelle her sister and now it seems like Janelle has truly taken that place. Bummer.

Is next on argyle st still going? Their google view is from march and the pin shows an empty building next to JD sports but maps doesn’t say they’re closed down. Any help appreciated!

Downloaded yesterday against my will, used for the first time today. I always buy an open return ticket, realised after there was no return ticket / barcode. Saw on another post someone said the outgoing ticket worked fine for them returning, this wasn’t the case for me in argyle st. Gate didn’t open, ticket man came over and said “issues with the new app, aye?” Must be such a dose for them dealing with this nonsense since its rollout. Scotrail better fix is ASAP. So, just a warning for anyone buying return tickets.

What an absolute joke they are.

Listen, I appreciate and like road improvements. Took them a good 18 months to fix up the roads by my work, but they’re defo better and it’s nice having road markings visible again. But the new crossings are a joke. Why the hell have the changed it from the man being across the road, where you’re looking and so can see when it changes, to right beside you? It doesn’t make any noise so you’ve to be staring at it waiting for it to change.

Maybe it’s for an obvious reason that my brain can’t work out, but it makes zero sense to me. a logistical nightmare, surely, for those with visual impairments and other disabilities.

I was watching the milehigher podcast casually and this episode aired a few weeks ago and anyways some of you might have listened to it as well. What perked my ears up was when Kendall started talking about the stuff she used to do as a teenager like pickle jarring people’s houses and tping them. That’s not normal behavior. I certainly never vandalized someone’s property or home. Even seeing it in the movies and on tv shows I knew not to do it in real life. She blamed her behavior on a friend that was a bad influence but it’s like take responsibility for your actions. As she was talking about it laughing and finding it funny and just you know teens will be teens etc it really reminded me of the Kendall, Janelle relationship and what happened with Karelli like she really is easily influenced by others.

First time poster, wasn’t sure what flair to use. Hoping someone can help.

My grandfather left plots of land to me and my siblings, in all of our names, when he passed. I didn’t have a clue about this until 6-7 years ago when my sister wanted to build on the land. She asked my siblings and I for permission and we had to sign a document that we gave permission to have the plot moved into her name alone.

Last year one of my brothers, who I’m more or less estranged from, contacted me to say him and his partner were looking to build on another site of land which is in all our names. In the email he said as it is in all our names it would require formally moving it into just his name, as was done for our sister. He specified it would require everyone involved’s agreement.

This isn’t something I agree to. I never responded to him and he hasn’t reached out since, despite saying he would once he’d spoken to a solicitor to draw up the necessary documentation. This was about 10 months ago.

I was wondering if anyone can confirm for me that he definitely can’t proceed with any planning permission applications or the like without my agreement? I ask now as, until recently, the fact I didn’t hear from him since had put it out of my own mind and I thought maybe he’d abandoned the idea. But he recently eloped with his partner and got married, and in a group message he mentioned how a party will be had once him and his partner move back to the area. This has made me worry somewhat that he’s made moves to go ahead with it all without my consent to have it moved to his name. Members of our family work in law - not this kind of law but I honestly haven’t a clue how it all works - so maybe he got advice or whatever from them or their friends.

There’s these short tunnels for pedestrians in rutherglen that go under the road. They got a paint job fairly recently that went unmarked until recently when wee dicks have decided to graffiti it. Walking to work earlier this week at 6am I passed 2 guys painting over it. But then 2 days later I pass through and there’s a huge dick sprayed on one side and an awful racial slur on the other. I’ve looked up how to report it and the council website says to call them to report offensive graffiti, yet every time I try contact them I’m just told the lines are busy and it hangs up. Been like this throughout the day for 2 days now.

SLC don’t seem to have an app like GCC to report this, wondering if anyone has any suggestions on how to report this more efficiently. Cheers

I feel I’d go mental if I worked on Buchanan street. Between buskers with their amps and just now passed a merchandise stall - for the commonwealth games, I think - blasting annoying dance music. No peace from the place

At the bus stop at 6.30 and a man is flipping through music at ridiculously high volume in front of houses and flats. Hoping he isn’t like this on the bus, going to be a nightmare journey if he is. Really wish they’d ban it, and calls on loudspeaker, on buses and trains. There’s no neeeeed just get earphones like a normal person

Edit to add - oh now he’s on a call *on loudspeaker* and littering right beside a bin. Some people deserve the death penalty. The one day the bus is late and it had to be this day.

Does Annalee not work for MHM anymore? Based off of ig alone, they’re never featured in each others posts and they rarely even like them. Same with Jess, who Kendall has known as long as Sydney iirc.

If annalee doesn’t work there anymore, how strained is their relationship, if it wasn’t under completely fine terms. That must make things a bit awkward. Can anyone tell me if Daniel still shows up on LOP?

I had a c section over a year ago now, and ever since, oftentimes when a no.2 is coming on I get fairly intense cramping. Sometimes it can be pretty unbearable and I can’t move until the pain passes. It’s just woken me up at 6am and now I can’t get back to sleep 😭 it’s not every time I need a no.2, but it’s often enough that it has me worried for social settings, because sometimes the pain happens so quickly I have a reaction to it. Has / does anyone else had / have this issue? Thanks x

I only began watching LI (UK) when season 3 aired because it was EVERYWHERE. And I was completely hooked. I’ve watched every season since and imo none hold a candle to season 3.

I’m rewatching it now and omg how do I miss those days. The people were fun, funny, intelligent (like who has had a job like Camilla had?!). There were games aplenty, I’m talking every 3 episodes they leave the villa to do a game and there’s things in between, the girls go on days out or the lads to places like the beach or for a gossip catchup. Kem has me cackling often, as does Liv even though she’s a bit of a bitch a lot. Can’t say anyone on this season has me laughing other than Lorenzo, like a few times he’s made me laugh.

Them having a smoking area, talking about sex a lot and things like that just makes them seem like real people. The people themselves seem a bit more real as well, again Camilla or that guy Craig (not attractive guy imo at all but he looks like a normal bloke regardless). They even dress like normal people in the sense of just a tshirt and shorts at night, even during the day there’s more clothes than now where I assume they HAVE to be wearing only bikinis?

People actually get in the pool! One thing I find baffling now is nobody seems to swim, you’re in these scorching temps with a lovely pool at your feet daily and not using it? Like, are they not well?

There’s a good amount of people in the villa at any one time, like max so far there’s been is maybe 14 people, maybe 12, but dumpings then are regular enough to even it out and it doesn’t go higher than that. Current season there’s an ungodly amount of people there. IMO if there’s not enough beds in the main bedroom then there’s too many people and they need rid of.

So yeah, just a rant about how LI has plummeted in its entertainment factor. Not a new thought anyone’s had here, but it’s my thought nonetheless

I am a 32F. I grew up in a very small, rural area. The house I grew up in was left to my dad by his grandfather, and his family owned bits of land around the house. When my grandfather passed, he left some of the land to my siblings and I. I wasn’t even aware of this until several years ago, when my sister wanted to build a home and business on part of the land. This required signed agreements from us all to pass it over to her to do this. While I’m not close with my sister, I did so without question as did my other siblings. I did feel that we should have been financially compensated for the land, as it is worth a lot especially based on its location. But my other siblings didn’t say anything, and I was quite young so didn’t feel comfortable to do so either.

Fast forward to last year. My brother, who I have 0 relationship with because of many, many reasons, now also wants some of the land signed over to be solely his for him to use. He emailed me last October out of the blue, faking brief niceties but very quickly getting down to why he was emailing. I was honestly taken aback, the man hasn’t spoken to me in years only to come crawling along wanting something from me. I didn’t know how to respond, I discussed it with my therapist but still didn’t know what to say. I honestly forgot about it - in the email he even said he would contact me again about it but, 8 months later, I’ve still not heard anything - until recently. My dad came for a brief visit and quickly mentioned the fact my brother wants this land. I told him I honestly didn’t care about what he wanted, and my dad called me an asshole.

I can see why I may be, but also, to just sign over something to someone who, to be frank, is an asshole himself and has done nothing for me in my life other than cause me misery and heartbreak, just doesn’t sit right with me. AITAH, reddit?
