Can anyone tell me what this is?

Just going through a box or accessories I have and came across this. I don't recall ever buying it and I haven't a clue what it is. Even AI is clueless on it as it's telling me it's a PS2 to GameCube controller adapter.

It clearly has N64 controller port. But the blue adapter is completely lost on me. I assumed it might be a memory card adapter but why would a memory card connect to a controller port?

Any idea what it is?

Is this genuine?

Hi just got a fairly cheap Gameboy color to kick off my collection for a maybe to good to be true price.

I'm fairly confident the Gameboy it's self is real. Just not sure on the case. It looks super clean considering it's age. It also appears to be missing the label at the back. At least I believe a label is suppose to be there.

Twice in the space of a month I have had to reinstall SteamOS

Anyone else having these type of issues. My system is as followed.

RX 7600 8GB

Ryzen 5500X3D CPU

Asrock B450 (latest bios)

16GB 3200mhz RAM (single stick)

1TB 2.5" SSD (bargain find).

I know SteamOS requires a nvme drive. But when getting the parts I read there was a work around plus found a 1tb 2.5" SSD at 2025 prices.

Since I built this machine a month ago. After a week and a bit I turn the PC on and I can't load into SteamOS (I made a post about it). I then reinstalled SteamOS and since then have had a great time. This steam machine a had daily use compared to what's suppose to be my main pc (7800x3d, 32GB RAM and 9070 XT).

But today same issue as last time. Went to boot the PC and was stuck in a recovery loop. So I have today just to reinstall SteamOS.

Is this just SteamOS being buggy or could it be I'm installing it onto a 2.5" SSD. I have ran test on the SSD and it's at 98% health with no issues.

I'm I going about this right?

Hey so I'm 36 from the UK. I owe £3k to a credit card. It was much higher than that but managed to get it down to £3k.

Basically I took out a cc in late 2019 as a way to build credit. It was all great and paid my balance off each month. As only spent like £50 a month on the CC. Then I lost my job. Then my partner found out she was pregnant all within a span of a week. One of the worst best weeks ever lol.

Due to the up coming baby and only being on £400 a month on UC. I stupidly ended up in like £8k debt due to buying baby things and just being stupid.

I got a new job in 2024. In 2 years I managed to get it down to £3k. I basically spent noting on my self and became a absolute tight arse. But it's got my debt down.

So now I'm on on the final £3k. I did a balance transfer from 3 CCs to one. With a 2 year interest free balance transfer. There was a £120 fee to do this. My plan now is between now and December I'm gonna be paying £200 a month. That's £800 between now and December. So come January I'll be on £2.2k debt. I then really want to get this burden gone asap in 2027. So I have come up with 2 options.

From January 2027 pay £300 and have it paid off by the summer. The issue with this is. I I'm hoping to start driving lessons in the summer of 2027 as I desperately need to learn to drive.

Or

I become a ultra tight arse. I pick up 2 extra shifts per week ( I have physical health issues) and pay £500 a month off and have the debt cleared come May 2027. This then gives me like 3 months of freedom before I start paying for driving lessons. It will be hard I can imagine. If i go this way. After picking up 4 extra shifts per month. After tax and rent and the £500 towards the CC and my half of food shopping. I'll be left with pretty much £500 to last me a month. It will be hard very hard. But I have done it before with less. It will be a bit of a energy drain. But I can do it.

Or does anyone else have a better option I haven't thought about? Kind regards.

Smart glasses for YouTube Streaming (UK)

Sorry I'm advanced I haven't a clue about smart glasses.

My friends father is a quiet person in his 60s. He likes to live stream things he gets up to each day for some family and friends. He currently has a cheap go pro type camera that does a job. But he always says he feels embarrassed when he goes out with is at it's very clearly he is filming/streaming and feels awkward doing it.

Just wondering are there any smart glasses around £100-£150 (doesn't matter if there second hand) that allows to live stream is POV to YouTube? That's the main feature live stream POV. Would he nice if he could listen to music through them and have a navigation feature but these are not that important.

Any suggestions?

Much appreciate

Edit: I was looking at the Ray-Ban meta for him but from what I can tell can only live steam to Facebook with them.

Pikachu N64 case swap?

Hello,

Been out of the N64 loop for a bit. While doing a bit of online shopping last week. I found a Japanese Pikachu N64 console. Sold as Junk with no controller or power brick. For 3,500 JPY so roughly between £17-£18. At the time of purchase it was simply just to be apart of my small collection. But then today I had a random idea.

What if I was to simply open up the Pikachu console and replace the main board with a UK main board from a standard N64 console. Is the main board in the Pikachu the same size and shape as a standard N64?

I tried to compare pics online and they seem the same but I could be wrong.

Just completed my "GABEstation"

Such a fun build.

RX 7600 £150 (eBay)

Ryzen 5500X3D £145 (AliExpress)

Asrock B450 Motherboard £39 (AliExpress)

16GB DDR4 3200mhz single stick RAM £50 (cex)

2.5" 1TB SSD £50 (CEX)

Jonsbo C6 Case £50 (eBay)

Corsair RM650m PSU £30 (vinted)

Low profile cooler £15 (AliExpress)

WiFi/Bluetooth PCIe adapter £4 (eBay)

Just setup steam os and loving it so far. Only annoyance is the 80 second boot time. Not sure if it's the SSD or what. But I installed windows before hand to test and stress test all components and it was fairly quick with that.

Wrestlers who "didn't look right" with certain championships titels

Just a curios question. What wrestlers didn't look right with a specific title belt?

I'll start: Stone Cold holding the WWF European Title.

Got the PS3 console I have always wanted 😁

Cost me £18 to buy and £25 to deliver to the UK from Japan. I remember seeing this as a Japan exclusive for MGS4 back in 2008 and always wanted it. For £18 and in full working condition I couldn't say no.

Shame no matching controller or box. But it's now my main PS3 console. I also have the White Fat console, Silver Fat PS3, Biohazard 5 Fat PS3, Final Fantasy Black Fat PS3, 20GB Fat PS3 (No WiFi). Just need the standard black 60 or 80 or 40gb Fat PS3, Ryuu ga Gotoku 3 White Fat PS3 and I believe that's it in terms of variations of the fat ps3 when it comes to limited editions and colours.

PC Turns off once a graphics card is installed

So I'm asking this on behalf of someone who is a novice with computers.

So she bought a used system on eBay for suspiciously cheap. £250 for a AM5 based system. It's a Cyberpower system that has a a620 motherboard (trying to get the exact model). 8500G APU, 16GB single stick 5600mhz DDR5 RAM and 512GB SSD. Inwin 750w PSU.

So with the PSU as it is. Just the APU installed it works fine. Can use it for hours and do light gaming no problems.

She then bought a brand new MSI MAG 850w Gold PSU. Once again system works fine. She then got a RTX 3060 ti used on eBay and once the GPU was installed the pc would power up for 2-3 mins and then shut down. Just completely off no blue screens or anything. So she assumed it was the GPU. So returned it and bought a brand new RTX 5060 ti 8GB from Amazon it arrived today and once again after 2 mins then pc shuts down. So she reinstalled the inwin PSU and again 2 mins after power on system shuts down. Only happens with a GPU installed.

What could this be? Surely it can't be 2 dodgy power supplies right?

SKE SMART KEY ENERGY 850VA/480W - UK are these recommended

I think this is the correct sub to ask this.

I have been looking at the SKE SMART KEY ENERGY 850VA/480W. It's currently £31 suspiciously cheap for a UPS. My area has dodgy power. Has for years on average our street and surrounding area would loose power to our homes 4-5 times per year on average for 1 hour or so. We had one a few weeks ago and it killed my OLED TV and only this week got it back from repair.

I just want something like this to connect to my TV and PS5 and router. So when the power does cut out again. It will give me enough time to shut down my console if it's in use as well as my tv. Is this suitable for something like that?

Thanks

2 months later it all arrived in perfect working order

Less than £75 for everything including the seamail delivery. Boxed White PS3 with all accessories and in perfect working order. A white (but yellowed) Sega Saturn complete with controller fully working. Midnight Blue PS2 with no accessories fully working even came with a HDD network adapter.

Absolutely chuffed with what I got. But also astonished with the care and packaging buyee staff used. Bubble wrap in every nook and cranny can't fault the service.

Package was handed over to the shipping ports on the 20th March 2026 and was delivered yesterday to my address in the UK 28th May 2026.

Supremacy MMA - Did it ever release in Europe?

Been out of the vita game for about 8 years. I had almost the entire UK released games complete in box (excluding limited run titles). But one I for the life of me could never find was Supremacy MMA. I have seen stock photos of the cover with a 18 rated logo on it. But have never seen one on eBay.

All I have seen is rated M (NTSC) copies. I last week bought a vita oled and today a PS TV. Having a look on cex for some physical vita games to get. I noticed Supremacy MMA in-stock at CEX for £25 online and I instantly bought it. Even says in the title (18).

But with it being cex and all I'm fairly convinced it's going to get cancelled on me. Or a PS3 copy is going to show up or the M rated version.

So does anyone in Europe actually own the pegi 18 version or did it simply not release?

Selling a PC on Vinted - Does Electronic Verification protect seller?

So I know all about Vinted and it's full of scammers. I know it also has many genuine people. I my self have bought £500+ laptop from vinted without issue. I normally stick to just selling low value £10 things on Vinted.

But I want to sell a fairly decent PC and I'm terrified of selling on both eBay and Vinted and I haven't a clue where else to try other than FB marketplace.

I'm wondering the Electrical Verification Vinted offer for £5. I know it's there to protect buyers. But does it protect sellers? I'm thinking if I list the pc and insist on people on buying if they use the Vinted Electornical Verification. I'll happily knock £5 off so the buyer doesn't take the hit. Genuine buyers shouldn't have a issue with this right? As it proves what I'm selling is genuine and working like mentioned. But what about me as a seller? Would I get any protection?

For example let's say I sell the pc and buyer selected Electrical Verification. I sent it to vinted they verify it's all good and legit and send it to the buyer. The buyer decides let's swap this GPU for his GT710 and this 32GB RAM for his kit of 8gb and maybe the 1tb ssd for his 128gb and then opens a return request and sends the pc back with swapped components. Since Vinted verified everything was legit and the pc came back with swapped components what I get my money. Or would the buyer get a nice free upgrades and money back ?
