Bermuda locals what is it really like living in Bermuda?

I’m from the Virgin Islands and I’m curious about what life is like in Bermuda from the perspective of locals.

How does daily life compare to living on another island? What do you enjoy most about living in Bermuda, and what are some of the challenges?

Can I still get a medical billing and coding job without an AAPC certification if I have an Associate’s degree in Medical Billing and Coding?

I have an Associate’s degree in Medical Billing and Coding but I don’t currently have an AAPC certification (such as the CPC). Has anyone been hired without certification? How difficult was it to find a job, and did employers require certification after you were hired? I’d appreciate hearing about your experiences.”

Does it ever bother you when people visit your home island and say they didn’t enjoy it?

Does it ever bother you when people visit your home island and say they didn’t enjoy it?

I live in the Caribbean, and sometimes visitors say they found the island boring, too small, too expensive, or just not their type of vacation. Do you take it personally, or do you just see it as different people having different tastes?

Do locals feel the Cayman Islands are becoming less Caribbean culturally?

I’m from St. Thomas, USVI, and I’m curious about something. With so many wealthy expats, investors, and foreign workers moving to the Cayman Islands, do locals feel that the islands have become less Caribbean culturally over time?

Has the local Caymanian culture remained strong, or do you feel the influence of international wealth and immigration has changed the identity of the islands?

Would this be considered colorism both ways

You see debates about this a lot on TikTok. I saw a video where a dark-skinned woman said she doesn’t like light-skinned men, and people defended it as a preference. But if someone says they don’t like dark-skinned women, people usually call it colorism immediately.

They said lightskin can’t face colorism when they can.

Locs thinner around both temple area is this normal?

Is it because there is naturally finer and more fragile than the rest of your scalp, so locs in that spot can end up thinner over time?

Do foreigners moving to Thailand affect locals financially?

I keep seeing a lot of TikTok videos of foreigners moving to Thailand because they say it’s cheap and affordable. But it also makes me wonder how this affects local Thai people.

Has the increase in expats, digital nomads, and long-term foreigners caused rent, housing, or everyday prices to go up for locals? Or is the situation more complicated than social media makes it seem?
