My old man Boo had to say goodbye to his younger brother 2 days ago

His grieving is so rough, he hasn't played at all and hasn't moved much. He isn't excited for dinner and won't sing when I ask him if he wants treats. It was so unexpected for all of us but he specifically didn't get to say goodbye. I guess none of us were expecting to lose his brother first. He was only 7 years old, Boo is 12. I'm hoping his mourning will ease up soon and he'll be back to himself

He had no part in the holes in the sheet. Why would anyone accuse him of that?

He doesn't know what holes you're talking about

Temperature issues with hashimotos

I know my thyroid levels are not good right now and I have a ton of issues because of it. I can't afford to see a doctor so its been off for about 8 months now. But I was wondering if this could be a symptom of my thyroid levels as well so I know to bring it up when I am able to get to a doctor

I've been extremely sensitive to temperature, for example I usually have my showers turned up all the way on hot. The past months I can barely have it above the lowest temp before it burns my skin. I also get extremely cold very easily, we'll have the air conditioning on like normal and I'll be wearing a thick robe plus under a weighted blanket and two other comforters and still be shivering.

Another thing is my body is just extremely sensitive if thats how I explain it? I can gently poke my arm for example and it'll feel like a deep painful bruise for 15 minutes or more. Putting any direct pressure is so painful no matter how gentle. It doesn't actually show up as a bruise, it just feels like it

Should I bring these up to my endocrinologist when getting it checked?

Tldr~when getting my thyroid checked again do I bring up my bodies sensitivities to temperature and touch or is it a completely different issue?

Freshly melted cicada

He came out on the doormat on my porch, ants immediately surrounded him so I very gently placed him on a tree but there were ants immediately coming after him there as well. I brought him inside and he won't let go to get inside the box with a branch I brought inside. One of his wings is straightened out and he keeps slowly moving it but the other hasn't moved at all in the past 30 minutes. I'm hoping he'll be okay but I'm not sure what to do

Turning 20

I really didn't have normal teenage years, I was in and out of psyche hospitals, constantly on new medications and never went to highschool after the covid lockdown. Having sex was never a priority, I was never thinking about it. But I'm 3 years clean and out of the hospital, I'm on stable meds that work for me, and I'm finally feeling normal. I have only ever been in extremely long distance relationships so any physical intimacy wasn't an option at all. I haven't been held by anyone romantically, I have never been kissed or touched in any way consensually. I'm also disabled and working on giving my mother power of attorney because I'll never be able to live independently. I tried dating apps but as soon as I tell someone I'm talking to that I don't have a car or job even after explaining why they ghost me. I just missed out on so much that I feel so behind and don't know how to catch up. I know I'm still very young but it doesn't feel like it when people that are my age are having kids or regularly dating/hooking up. It also doesn't help that I'm a gay trans guy in an extremely conservative area

Dogs nails feel loose (?)

So I finally got my dog into the vet and everything seemed to be fine besides needing dental care. But while we were there we got his nails trimmed like we always do because he wont allow us to. There has never been an issue and we've been going to the same vet for over 10 years. He got his nails trimmed exactly a week ago and I just noticed something strange. Today he has started going around our mat on the porch instead of walking straight over it like he always has. He squished himself again the wall to avoid it everytime he's been outside throughout the day. I decided to check his paws just to be safe but I noticed that his claws don't seem normal. One of the nails on his front paw is extremely loose/wiggly when I barely touch it. I checked his back paws and almost every single one of them feels that way as well. This has never happened before so I don't think its normal. I'm not sure what could have happened or if it happened possibly when he was getting them trimmed and I just didn't notice? He will not let me touch them for more than a second but I will try to get a better look and post photos in the comments. Does anyone know what the reason behind this could be? He isn't limping at all or licking them more than usual but he definitely is a lot more sensitive to touch. He is still running around and playing which is why I'm kinda confused. Maybe he jumped off the couch weird and that caused this? I want to know if he is in any pain even though he's running around because he won't let me touch them like normal.

Hair loss product recs?

Hi! I'm almost 20 years old and have been diagnosed for about 4 years now. So my thyroid has been off since around December and I haven't been able to get in for blood work or a medication change. I've been experiencing all the symptoms of a flare up but especially hair loss. My current hair is less than half of what it used to be in density. I used to lose probably 10 strands on average everytime I showered but now I'm losing about 2 hand fulls of hair everytime. I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations on shampoos and conditioners or just products in general that could help with hair regrowth or even just stop the extreme hair loss. Preferably affordable products considering I can't afford to get my thyroid checked. Thank you in advance!!! <333

I got home from work today and these puddles were in the floor. I know the color indicates bile but both of them are well fed. I am worried because my cat is a senior and we had a Lilly in the house on saturday. I bought my mother a bouquet not knowing that one of them was a Lilly which I know are very dangerous for cats. It was only inside for about 10 minutes before we realized and threw it out over the fence. We sprayed everything down with vinegar so we thought it was good. My cat overall is acting normal, nothing seems to be wrong or different. I just need to know that he is okay, I am panicking

Everyone thought he was mostly chihuahua, we were pretty surprised at the results. He turns 7 years old in exactly a week, we rescued him when he was about a year and a half

So I have always been convinced I had pin straight hair and hated it. My entire family has textured hair and I have always been sad mine isn't. Lately I've been watching videos on curly/wavy hair because I want to learn to style my moms curly hair because she doesn't do anything with it. I realized that my hair wet looks a lot like other people's wavy hair wet. I always just shampoo, condition, and brush my hair when I get out of the shower then let it air dry. But the photos are what my hair looks like straight out of the shower with no products. I do have quite thin hair so if I did need product it would have to be very light weight.

EDIT!!!~I'm currently growing out a dramatic mullet which is why the top is so much shorter than the back. That also contributed to how thin it looks (don't get me wrong, it is thin anyways), the sides under the top are only about 1.5in in length because they were shaved. If anyone has any recommendations for cuts I could get once its more grown or even now that would maximize the texture I would appreciate it <333

Thank you for reading!

(Also please do not advice me to stop dyeing my hair, I will not for multiple reasons)

My Frankie! We rescued him from the humane society around 6 years ago. I could not figure out what breed he was with a lot of research so I finally got a DNA kit after about of year of him being with us. As a hint he has four breeds in him!
