Looking for RTT recommendations for 2 people plus 2 dogs - additional criteria in post

Hey all! Trying this again since my last post was removed, yet I see many others posting similar format questions and getting great advice, so I've added some more details in the hopes I can get some help (or at least guidance on what I need to change). I purchased a cheap clamshell as a proof of concept and now want to expand to something a little more fit to my needs.

I am looking for a RTT that will comfortably fit 2 people and 2 dogs (medium sized, around 40lbs). Below are some criteria that I'm looking to meet:

- Must be 4 season or have a heater port. I camp in the dead of winter when it's sub freezing and snowing

- Large enough for 2 people and 2 dogs

- Able to withstand occasional hits from branches while off roading

- Ideally not too thick when closed, as it will be on top of my already tall truck

- Price range is sub $2,000 and I am completely ok with buying used

- Ability to mount solar on top is a bonus

I'm not sure if a hardshell is strictly necessary for protection from branches and the elements, but I would prefer it since it'll be on the truck full time and parked outside. Truck is a dedicated adventure rig so this will not be on a daily if that influences anything. Any other tips or advice appreciated as this is my first dive into RTT's!

People with the Gazelle T4 or other Gazelle tents, any issues?

Hey all, I posted up looking for a new tent and have settled on the Gazelle T4 Tandem.

Overall reviews are great, but there's a surprising amount of people reporting issues with rain penetration, some reporting tearing at pole cups, and some reporting rust from the steel poles.

I'm wondering if anyone here who has used one of these tents extensively has experienced these same problems, and if so, how did you resolve them? At $700 I'd like this thing to last!

Thanks in advance

Car camping tent for 2 ppl + 2 dogs and gear?

Hey all! Just found this community and excited to poke around. I'm in the market for a new tent for my partner and I with our two medium sized pups. This will be just for car camping, so it doesn't need to be backpacking friendly. Looking for something easy enough to put up and take down that will be good in most seasons, have a dedicated cold weather setup for sub freezing situations. Budget is fairly flexible, not opposed to spending money on something that will last.

edit having a screened porch area is a huge plus!

Thanks in advance!

Quiet Comfort Ultra Earbuds - unacceptably trash firmware

I've been at my wits end with these Earbuds lately and I'm curious if anyone else has had similar issues/found a solution. Across all of my devices, they disconnect when I so much as change the volume or skip forward in a video on YouTube. They frequently pair just one side and the other just... takes a break? When they do disconnect like this, they also pop incredibly loud to the point where it actually hurts my ears.

The noise cancelation is phenomenal, but I expected better for a $300 set of Earbuds. My Samsung ones and my $20 throwaway pair I got at an airport have never once had these issues.

Also just to be clear I have tried updating firmware and that did not do anything, unfortunately.

First suppressor, looking to get educated!

Not new to shooting but up my first AR recently and ordered an OCL Infinity 556k to go with it. All of my research points me to a Rearden Plan B and SPB muzzle device, but I can't find the muzzle device in stock anywhere.

What can I use as an alternative, and is there anything else I need to purchase in order to install?

Any and all tips and advice is appreciated

Almost exactly 1 year with this truck!

I bought this 2013 Pro-4x for just under $5000 in August last year. It had about 160k miles on it and only really needed new cats. Since then it's come a long way and been on a few adventures. Very happy with where it's sitting now, nearly "done" achieving the vision I had when I bought it.

Whats done:

• 3rd Gen Pro-4x Seats, power & heated

• ADO Extended Travel Fox 2.0 Shocks

• 16x8in Nitro Wheels w/33in Falken Wildpeak A/T 4's (E load), with matching 5th spare

• Prinsu Roff Rack

• ADO Parabolic Rear Leaf & 550lb Front Springs

• WAM Winch Carrier w/Crash Bars

• Apex 12k lb Winch

• ARE CX-Series Cap

• Northstar X2 Group 31 AGM Battery

• Z1 Snorkel System

• Z1 Dash Platform w/Phone Mount

• Z1 Rear Seat Organizer

• Viair Compressor hardwired and plumbed

• ScanGauge III Hardwired

• AVS Cab Window Visors

• Z1 Aluminum Gas Tank Skid

Whats left:

• GMRS Radio Install

• Custom Rear Bumper with Spare Tire Mount

• WolfBox Rear/front Cams/Dashcam

• Auxiliary Lighting Front & Rear

• Built-In Power Station

• Full Aluminum Skids

Want to SBR, if possible, following July 21

Hey all, I blew my budget prior to July 1 but due to when I moved to VA, I didn't have time to get an SBR done. With this injunction coming up, I have 2 questions:

* Can I SBR an existing complete lower? I have a g$ super duty, wondering if I can SBR the lower, get a shorter upper, and swap at will?

* I already have 3 stripped lowers ready to go from pre July. To make a new complete 300 SBR, what would I NEED to prioritize purchasing? I'd like to avoid doing a complete build as my cc is still smoldering lol

I understand there may not be a complete answer just yet but I appreciate any advice and input!

Put down sod 2 weeks ago, should I mow? Seeing conflicting advice on this

The sod seems to be doing well and growing, but is not fully rooted in all areas. Some people say to cut early, some say not to touch it. We've completely revamped this little yard over the last 2 weeks, I just want to try and give the grass the best chance of success.

For some background on how we installed:

-Cut down all grass and weeds from before and removed weeds by hand as possible (chems not allowed here)

-Tilled entire yard 6-8in and removed organic matter

-Added 10-10-10 mix fertilizer and some topsoil

-Put down sod and rolled

Have been watering it every day in the mornings and when it's extra hot again in the afternoon.

First AR - what can should I get?

Picked up my Geissele Super Duty yesterday and took it for its first outing today. Wildly good out of the box.

Is it worth getting a HUXWRX can to fit the current muzzle device, which seem to be $$$$. Or should I get a different muzzle device and something else? I'll likely end up with a FRT so durability is important.

Also open to any other suggestions on what to do with this thing.

Looking for a place to run drills in NOVA

Hey all, moved to the state recently and I'm hoping to find some places in NOVA with steel targets in a pit setting for drills. Ideally for pistol and rifle. Whether member based or private.

I know Delmarva Sporting Clays has this, but boy is it far.

My previous gun club had pits you could reserve and shoot their steel or bring your own, was an awesome facility and I'll miss it! Looking forward to seeing what VA has to offer.

DD + Geissele build, or prebuilt?

Trying to get myself in before the VA law change in July.

Looking at DD and Geissele platforms, 16in barrels. Plan on doing some 3 gun and just want to get something solid and reliable from the start. This will be a do-it-all rifle for me. Will be getting a can as well.

I've seen people say that DD does better with uppers, and the best combo is to do a stripped DD upper and pair that with the Geissele BCG, trigger, and lower etc. Does this hold up today with the Geissele Mod 1?

Dashlane cut my credited account short, looking for a new solution

Rant below aside, I'm looking for a good personal password manager. I use it primarily for form filling, payment info, and of course, passwords and credentials.

UI and ease/speed of use is really my biggest concern, as I see all the ones recommended here are plenty secure enough. I access literally hundreds of applications for my work and the time adds up fast when logging in is a process. It sounds like bitwarden and 1password are pretty high up there in recommendations, but bitwarden might be a bitess polished?

I've use Dashlane for many years and brought a few of my businesses into the application suite over time. I used my personal account's referral link to invite hundreds of users accounts to the platform. As a result, I was meant to have free Dashlane access for years as thanks for bringing in so many paying customers to a platform I loved.

For whatever reason, that was cut short today and my personal account now says that Dashlane free was discontinued with no prior notice and all I have access to do is export my data.

I appreciate any and all suggestions!

PvP has become unplayable due to the frequency of hackers

Apologies if this is slightly ranty, but I'm posting this because I know I'm not the only one that has been affected, and I think I'm done with this game until this gets addressed to some degree. The time investment to gather gear is simply too significant to be wasted constantly by hackers. I've been a early supporter from the beginning and want nothing more than for this game to succeed.

I finished the tasking and vendor leveling that I care about, so all that's left is PvP. Nearly every session my friends and I have joined, there is at least one BLATANT hacker. They aren't even trying to hide it and hopping servers to avoid them doesn't work anymore due to the volume. The guy in the screenshot (name redacted per mods) took out my entire squad +2 additional players multiple times, solo, from the middle of the woods and a corn field with absolutely no actual visibility on us. He'd snap directly onto our positions all around him and either hit us or the stuff between us and him; walls, trees etc. We were only able to kill him with a mortar. We had the whole exchange recorded and submitted to MFG.

Hoping to see this get fixed or at least significantly improved on!
