Recurring severe focal abdominal pain with chronic bloating/gas

For the last couple of months I’ve been dealing with pretty bad bloating, trouble passing gas and a lot of abdominal tension. My stomach feels like it’s braced or flexed most of the time when I’m standing.

During an extremely stressful night about 2 months ago, the bloating got really bad and I suddenly developed a very specific sharp pain about 2 fingers below and to the left of my belly button. The painful area is tiny, probably less than 1 cm. The pain is not constant, but when it hits it can be extremely sharp and stabbing and sometimes almost unbearable.

It gets much worse with certain movements, standing and especially when I flex or tense my abs. When I lie down and fully relax, I usually don’t feel it. At first I thought there might be a tiny lump under the skin, but I’m honestly not even sure anymore. It could just be something I’m feeling through the abdominal wall or bowel underneath.
The first time this happened it lasted around a week. My bloating eventually improved and the pain disappeared with it. Now my bloating and difficulty passing gas have gotten significantly worse again and the exact same pain has come back, except this time it feels worse.

I’ve had an abdominal ultrasound and nothing abnormal was seen, although it was done while I was lying down, which is also the position where the pain and whatever I think I’m feeling there mostly disappear.

I’m still passing stool. My fiber intake is currently around 20g per day, which is lower than what I used to eat. I also burp fairly often and have some swallowing difficulty, so I’ve wondered whether I might be swallowing more air than normal and making the bloating worse.

I also have genetically confirmed CMT2A from an MFN2 mutation, so I’m wondering whether neuropathy, altered gut motility, abdominal muscle guarding or some type of abdominal wall nerve irritation could be involved.

One other thing I remembered is that around 7 months ago I did a few subcutaneous GHK-Cu injections into abdominal fat with a short 32G pen needle. I pinched the fat, injected slowly, released the pinch while the needle was still in, waited about 2 seconds and then removed it. I had some mild redness afterward but no major swelling, severe local pain, numbness or persistent symptoms. The current pain only appeared about 5 months later, so I’m not sure whether that’s relevant at all.

I’ve been reading about ACNES because the very small painful spot and the fact that flexing my abdominal muscles makes it much worse seem similar. I’ve also wondered about a muscle or fascial trigger point, a very small hidden hernia, or simply severe bowel distension irritating something in the abdominal wall.

Has anyone had something similar where severe bloating causes a tiny, extremely localized stabbing pain that gets much worse standing or flexing but mostly disappears when lying down? Especially interested if anyone has experience with ACNES or other abdominal wall nerve pain.

Dysphagia

Anyone else with CMT have dysphagia (trouble swallowing) or it’s not that common and there’s no direct correlation? My vocal cord is mildly compromised due to CMT according to my neuro, but haven’t said anything about the dysphagia

Testing

My GP is suspecting RT and told me to visit a rheumatologist, but the doctors that I could trust doesn’t have an appointment soon. I told her that and she sent me for blood testing. The issue is I think I’m not in an active flare currently, but last 3 months were absolute hell. Would this affect the testing or it’s better to get everything during a flare? She couldn’t answer and I can’t really find information online

Suspicion

Soo… went through and urologist for varicocele suspicion 2 days ago. Everything came out as negative. They did blood work, urine testing and ultrasound on my stomach (not sure why not on my prostate). Sent me home with some meds and pain reliefs. Have another one in a week, but I accidentally stumbled upon prostate cancer symptoms.

Here’s what’s matching: trouble beginning to pee, frequent need to pee, bone pain, back pain, had an ED for a month after the pain that made me think it’s vari appeared it’s fine now, excessive weight loss (-16kg for 4 months) without changing diet and even lowering activity.

Context (not sure what exactly matters so I might give too much info) : I’m 24M, pain started at my testicles and lower abdomen along with ED onset, then my bones started hurting, then the difficult beginning came, then my glands started itching (derm confirmed no infections), then often need to pee started with difficulty holding it. Can’t exactly pin point when exactly all these appeared, but the order is right and it’s in the span of month and a half. Also I’ve had issues with too much gas from protein for years, but lately it’s getting me bloated with difficulty to pass it.

Sorry if I’m missing important info, but Its 2am and kinda panicking. First thing tomorrow I’ll do a blood test for PSA since the results take a week and booked an earlier appointment at my GP

How badly did I damage my skin to look like this

Is this even sebderm? It’s so nasty I have to mark as nsfw… My whole chin is like this, my left lower cheek and bottom right side of my nose I got told by one derm it is, but it’s getting worse even while using isdin nutradeica. It’s looking terrible after a simple wash rinse, not even using cleanser and I think it’s making my ongoing face staph infection spread. Do I need another derm or what, I’m feeling powerless. It all started by using a garnier micellar water which burned my skin a month ago and it’s just getting worse and worse and infected

Autoimmune disease

Do you think we are more likely to develop an autoimmune disease because of unregulated nervous systems? I’m not sure if that’s how it works, trying to understand it better so any input would be helpful. Thanks! 🙏

Obliterated my skin barrier

So… it all started with insomnia, antibiotic, bloating and stress. This led to clogged pores on my forehead and some weird (maybe fungal) bumps on my cheeks. To make it worse - I was on a bed in a hospital and asked a family member to clean my face. They did with micelllar water (which I never use, but that’s what they had) that was supposedly leave on, applied moisturizer. It was stinging, but the pain I was in the hospital for was silencing the stinging and burning sensation. I was with this on my face for 24 hours. Fast forward 2 weeks I started breaking out like crazy, got diagnosed with a local staph infection on some of the pimples. My skin is in terrible condition - clogged pores, oily T zone and forehead, crusted pimples, huge red painful bumps, my nose folds have seborrheic dermatitis, extremely inflamed pustules and the skin around them is flaky, dry jawline and chin. Basic tap water is leaving my skin absolutely dead, no moisturizer can help. Visited 4 different dermatologist and none of them could help other than diagnosing the staph infection. I’m a male with a beard which I have no idea how to shave now because the skin below is in an awful condition, but I have to so I can try to heal it somehow. I have another derm appointment in 2 days, but I’m feeling powerless…

Any recommendations are greatly appreciated

Cefalexin

Got prescribed cefalexin for 7 days x3 daily 1000mg by my dermatologist for staph infection on my face. It’s not it my blood so it’s just local, but I’m reading some scary stories on a lower dose than that. Should I get a 2nd opinion?

Staphylococcus infection suspected by dermatologist

I went to the derm today for these crusted spots and he had me go get bloodwork done and said to come back when results are ready. I’m kinda worried it might be staphylococcal infection, should I get another check or better to wait for the culture and blood work and speak with my doc again? (In 3 days)

Some context: it started with a red firm spot, I applied an ice cube and it flattened for couple days. Yesterday a yellow head appeared then became dark green and looked like ooze. Today it extended more and all crusted. Have a bunch of yellow heads all over my face too but they started appearing a week ago

To add: I was on antibiotic course from march 13 to June 13, last week of it I was slacking on my probiotic and was bloated with a localized gut pain for a week which led to having some pustules on face and some cysts on back, but they went away fast. Also some stress induced clogged pores which I’m still dealing with.

[Acne] Tap water damaging skin barrier

Every time I wash my face with tap water it becomes so much drier and flake. It comes back to normal couple hours later, but my skin barrier is already damage and this wouldn’t let it heal. How to clean my face avoiding tap water and what’s a good product for repairing my skin barrier, I’ve never had issues with it and haven’t tested anything. I was using just a moisturizer for years and didn’t have this issue, but I think after leaving a micellar water on my face for a day (the instructions said leave on…) once wrecked my barrier and now hard tap water is making it worse. Makes me break out pretty badly

[Acne] skin type changes

Could have chronic intense levels of stress changed my skin type from dry to oily and comedogenic permanently? I’ve never dealt with comedones my life and I’ll need some suggestions. My whole forehead, temple, nose and upper cheeks are filled with white and black heads. I have couple pustules on my chin and cheek bone where the skin is bit dry, but I’ve always had issues with these. I think I have seborrheic dermatitis above my mouth and at the nose bends, but a dermatologist would have to confirm that. I don’t know if it’s important to mention but I’m a male, 24.

B6 overdose

Seems like according to my blood test I have 3x above the upper limit of B6 - 382 nmol/L. I’ve been taking a beef protein for a couple months which I recently found out (the sticker was well hidden and wasn’t stated anywhere online) that it has added vitamins. Other than that I have some in my multis. I started having tremors a week ago which made me look for the reason. So my question is how toxic is that and how long is going to take me to get it out of my blood?
