Didn't even think Cyberpunk 2077 would load, let alone actually be playable on my GTX760 crammed into a salvaged Lenovo Thinkserver TS140 with stock Intel Xeon E3-1226 v3.
PSU upgraded to 650W, RAM upgraded to 32GB, Samsung 860 EVO SSD.
Almost all setting are at their lowest, getting between 15-13FPS during gameplay. Surprised the card is still only hovering around 70C.
Made it through the first mission and combat training tutorial without any issues!
The full page video ad that automatically plays on the background of the main page is incredibly jarring. We're already on your site, we don't need a promo for it forced on us every time we open the page.
At least it's better than the close up of that one stock photo actor's feet, but only slightly.
I'm stuck between these three options. I lean towards Costco for the warranty (also with membership/credit card rewards I would save an additional 4% off these prices). But I really like that the Quoted Tech build lists all the components and they appear to be high quality, whereas I know that MSI and iBUYPOWER tends to use cheaper RAM/SSDs/PSUs.
Also, the MSI seems like the 'best' value for money with the 5080 accounting for basically 2/3 of the build price. But I still find myself drawn to QT for their parts list and my preference towards the RX 9070 XT

Basically, QT has the best parts in terms of guaranteed quality and transparency, iBUYPOWER has the best CPU and more storage, MSI has the best overall value mainly because of the 5080 which I'm not sure I'll ever actually need. The costco prices would be an extra 4% lower than listed for me.
I'm not talking about food aversion or eating disorders (per say... I guess this could be described as its own disorder), but I just can't bring myself to care or be excited about food anymore or desire specific things. I seem to only care about minimum fuel and nutrition requirements now. I'm not fitness or macro obsessed or whatever people are doing these days, so I really don't know where this came from.
When I'm grocery shopping now, the only things that appeal to me are whatever looks like it'll give me the easiest basic nutrition and last the longest in my fridge. I am completely uninterested in going to restaurants, or even ordering food most days. When I do, it's like one of three things because nothing else seems efficient/worthwhile enough.
The most creative thing I do at this point is puree several cups of spinach with some berries and yoghurt every day so I don't die of scurvy. My meal prep aspiration is to grill 10 pounds of chicken every week and put it in my fridge.
You know it's bad when the protein porridge they get out of a tube in The Matrix starts to look like a good option...
I found this slip on my mailbox (inside apartment lobby), from "Action Delivery Systems"
https://imgur.com/a/zDuRhyk
I'm not expecting any packages and I can't find anything about this company online, googling it brings me to "Action Process Serving". I'm not sure why the search would default to that, and I am not anticipating getting sued by anyone lol, so I don't know why a process server would be trying to get ahold of me. I don't want to call the number they left in case it's a scam.
Has anyone else ever received a slip like this?
Prison transfer, I just put some new food on one side and let them migrate over. Most of them moved on their own.
I'm still collecting them nightly but am definitely finding fewer in the garden, so it seems to be working. I think I'm up to about 50 prisoners now.

I hunt for them nightly with a flashlight to control the adult population. I couldn't bring myself to kill them, so I put them in weevil prison when I catch them. The prison population is starting to get out of hand.
I'm looking for a relatively understated clean looking case that will live under a desk but still be pretty exposed, and can survive the odd knee impact (so no easily dented metal mesh or tempered glass front panels). Ideally with a few USB 3.0 ports (no usb-c) on the front.
Would also be great if it came in both a black and a white/colour version (I'm building his & hers gaming computers and my wife really wants a white, or pink/purple one)
As far as I can tell, there is only one hull opening on the wreck of the Mercury II thruster section by the purple vents. This door is right next to the opening but can't be cut, and there are no access crawlspaces or other doors in the searchable interior section of the wreck. I've looked all over the exterior for another opening. Is this door just decoration?
Also:>!I've already found the Parallel Processing Unit piece in this wreck!<
I've been considering building my first PC, I started feeling very overwhelmed and decided to just try and copy various prebuilts that I was interested in. But every time I go to select parts, I notice that my 'budget' keeps inching higher and higher. "It's just another $100 for this better parts, it's just another $50 for this better part, might as well spend a little more so it's easier to upgrade later or I don't have to upgrade as soon" etc etc...
I can't ever seem to settle on what will be good enough when my indecision keeps pushing me to higher tiers of components. I'm in a privileged position right now where I don't have a hard ceiling on my budget, but I also don't game seriously enough to justify something $3000+ (or my impostor syndrome is just getting loud...)
Currently wrestling with this configuration: https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/user/BreakfastLizard/saved/4JWRgs
Edit: I'm working with Canadian Dollars btw.
Also, resolution will be 1440p, preferred games are Satisfactory, Subnautica 2, No Mans Sky, Cyberpunk 2077, RDR2, Arc Raiders (maybe)
Took this snake apart to clean but having difficulty putting it back together. Any tips?
He hangs out here most of the day staring into our apartment, waiting for nuts and beef jerky.
Oops. I have to wake up at 5:30AM for work tomorrow...
